Wild Card Pov

"Recognized, Wild Card B04." I walked on the cave as I stretched my arms up.

"Hey, Wild!" Wally greeted and I smiled. He's wearing some kind of wolf costume and I burst into fits of laughter as I stood in front of him.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAH! What is that!?" I laughed as I clutched my stomach.

"It's a wolf corstume." He stated as he folded his arms over his chest and I kept on laughing.

"HAHAHAHAHA! Megan! Help me! I'm dying! HAHAHAHAHAHA!" I laughed and they shook their heads.

"Hey Wild, want to come with us? There's a halloween party in school tonight." Megan invited and I stopped laughing.

"Sorry, Megan. I can't. I'll be patrolling Gotham tonight. Rob and Batman were discussing about something with Aqualad and Red Arrow." I said and she nodded.

"It's alright." She said and I smiled then started laughing again when I saw Connor trying hard to look like a mummy. Toilet paper wrapped around him.

"HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! What is that!? HAHAHAHAHA!" I laughed as I pointed at Connor and they shook their heads with smiles.

"You're such a kid." Wally pouted and I grinned at him.

"That's because I am a kid." I said then continued laughing.

"Are you sure she's not a victim of those who breathed joker venom?" Wally asked as CM walked towards us with make up on his face.

"Recognized, Artemis B07, Zatanna Zatara A03." They both walked in with costumes as well. Zatanna is a witch and Artemis is a female version of Dracula.

"Wild!" Zatanna exclaimed as she hugged me and I cackled.

"What's up, Tanna? Going to the party?" I asked

"Yeah. Aren't you coming?" She asked as she pulled away.

"No, sorry. I'm patrolling tonight. But maybe, just maybe, I can sneak a peek on your party." I said and Artemis side hugged me.

"You better sneak a peek. I'm gonna prank baywatch there later." She whispered and I cackled.

"Wouldn't miss it." I said and she smiled.

"Oh, zombie Captain Marvel, that's.....hilarious. Is the justice league having a party because my dad didn't mention it." Zatanna said

"Yeah. Batman's busy, too." I said

"You see, I.....fine, I'm going trick or treating." CM said as he flew away.

"So, how long have Connor and Megan been a couple?" Zatanna asked

"Long before they knew it, Tanna." I said and Artemis laughed.

"Couple? No way." Artemis said and watched them do lovey dovey stuff. Artemis frowned and started walking away as I looked at Zatanna. We ran to catch up with her and Zatanna apologized.

"I-I'm sorry. It just seem so obvious. I didn't realize......wait, the dance." Zatanna said as we stopped.

"Not in the mood." Artemis said

"Well, there is one thing." Zatanna said as she chanted a spell and all of us are now wearing our suits.

"Girls night out." Zatanna said and they both looked at me.

"What?" I asked

"You coming?" They asked with pleading eyes and I smiled nervously.

"U-uhhmm, maybe I can go. But I'll watch over Gotham for atleast three hours first. I'll track you guys when I'm finished." I said and they smiled.

"Yes! Thanks, Wild!" They exclaimed as they hugged me and I patted their backs.

"See ya girls later." I said as I pulled away and walked in the Zeta tube.

"Recognized, Wild Card B04." And in a flash, I'm in the phone booth in Gotham. I walked out and swung up to the top of the building using my grappling hook. Landing down, I took in the view of Gotham city. Lights flickering as honking cars made noise. Watching this from above is beautiful.

"Wild?" I heard someone called out and I turned around to see Robin in his suit. A smirk playing on his lips as I turned my body around.

"Hey Rob. Finish with the meeting?" I asked and he stood in front of me.

"Yeah. Batman took care of the rest." He answered and I cackled as I looked back at the streets.

"It's beautiful, huh?" He said and I nodded.

"Yeah. It is. As always, say, aren't you coming to the halloween party? The one Megan invited us to attend to?" I asked as I sat by the edge of the building.

"No. Gotham needs a protector. Without Batman, I'm protecting this city tonight." He said as he sat beside me. Keeping distance from us.

"Hey! I'm protecting it, too." I said and he cackled.

"Fine, I have my trusty sidekick with me." He smirked and I rolled my eyes.

"Look who's talking." I said back and we both laughed.

"Maybe you could go. I can watch over Gotham. You can go have fun." I said and he ran his hand on his jet black hair.

"But it won't be fun without you." He said and I mentally blushed.

"Come on, I'll show you something." He said as he stood up and lent a hand. I smiled as I took his hand and he pulled me up.

"Follow me." He said as he used his grappling hook and started swinging from building to building. I just followed him and we soon reached the roof top of Wayne Tech. I landed and gasped as I saw the view in front of me. Gotham looks even prettier here!

"Wow." I gasped as I scanned the view.

"I never thought Gotham could be this beautiful. I mean, yeah I watched it from here before but it looks prettier tonight." I said as I stood by the edge.

"Careful. You might fall." Rob warned as he stood behind me.

"I'll be fine, Rob." I said and I suddenly thought of an idea.

"Hey, go to the other side of the roof." I said as I turned around and faced him.

"Why?" He asked

"Just trust me." I said and he ran to the other side of the building. I smirked as I started acting like I'm losing balance.

"Woah!" I said and Rob started running towards me but I already fell from the roof.

"Wild!" Robin screamed as he reached the edge and I quickly swung to the other side of the roof. Where I told him to stay but he obviously didn't. I landed on the roof and watched as Rob got out of the edge and turned around. Tears streaming down from under his mask. Oh no.

"Wild!" He exclaimed as he ran towards me and hugged me as tight as he can. Which is very very tight.

"You scared me!" He yelled as he buried his tear stained face on my hair and I quickly hugged back.

"I'm so sorry, Rob. It's just a prank. I didn't mean to make you cry." I whispered as I buried my face to the crook of his neck.

"Don't ever joke about that again! What if you suddenly forgot how to use a grappling hook!? You could die!" He scolded as he hugged me even tighter. If that's possible. Which it is.

"Sorry." I whispered and he sniffed.

"I forgive you, but don't do it again. Please." He pleaded and I smiled as I stroked his hair.

"Promise." I whispered and I felt him smile.

"Rob, I-uuhhh.......nevermind, it's stupid." I stopped talking as he pulled away and I sighed.

"What is it?" He asked as he dried his face.

"Nothing." I muttered as I went to sat by the edge of the building when he grabbed my wrist.

"Don't you dare go there. You're sitting here in the middle of the building. Where it is SAFE." He said sternly and I couldn't help but smile.

"Yes dad." I joked and he smirked.

"I believe you can't call me dad since I kissed you." He said and that really made me blush this time. I looked away as he pulled me closer to him.

"You're so selfless, Wild. You shouldn't be like that." He said as he sat down and pulled me down with him. Making me sit down in front of him with my legs crossed.

"I shouldn't, but I will." I said

"Why?" He asked as he rubbed his thumb on my wrist.

"They're still haunting me, Rob. Those screams. Their eyes filled with fear, the guts and gores. Everything." I whispered as I looked down to my lap and he suddenly hugged me.

"And that drives you into risking your life?" He asked and I nodded as I hugged back weakly and buried my face to his chest.

"I can't keep doing this, Rob. I have to embrace my inner hero or else......or else I'll go back to being an assassin. A murderer." I said as tears started forming in my eyes.

"Shhh, don't be like that, Wild. You've done so much already. You paid your debt a long time ago." He said and I tightened my grip on him.

"I-It's not enough." I stuttered as I forced to stop myself from crying.

"Shhhh, it's alright. Shhh, I'm sure your parents are proud of you, Wild. Even mine are proud of you. Batman's proud of you. I'm proud of you." He whispered as he put his cheek on top of my head and he kneeled.

"I don't know what's with me. I know the gods blessed me, Rob. I know it. But why can't I use them? I can't unlock any of it. Not even Athena's blessing." I whispered.

"So you knew. I thought I have to tell you. I'm sure the time will come, Wild. It will, I promise." He said

"But what if it didn't?" I asked

"Then we'll just have to wait to find out. Just stay traught, Wild." He said and I chuckled lightly.

"Thanks, Rob. So much." I thanked and he nodded as he stroked my hair.

"Anything for you, Crim." He whispered and I smiled. Sirens suddenly rang and the both of us quickly let go of each other and went to the edge. Rob kept a tight grip on my wrist as he lifted his left hand up. His screen appeared and we saw two thugs running from roof to roof. My compter suddenly rang and I lifted my hand up.

"Why did you call her!?" Artemis asked at Zatanna as they both appeared in the screen.

"I didn't!" Zatanna whispered back.

"Uhhmmm, mind telling me why you're in the dark?" I cackled as Rob tried his best to resist cackling with me.

"Oh! We just got to the cinema! Anyways, don't come, ok? We kind of canceled the girls night and we were just about to go home." Artemis said as Zatanna looked frightened.

"Uhh yeah, not buying that. Tanna's literally shaking. What's going on?" I asked seriously. I suddenly heard a sword swinging as Artemis and Zatanna looked up from the screen and gasped.

"Gotta run, Wild!" Artemis practically yelled as they moved out of the way and I saw a sword slam down the floor.

"Come back here." A deep voice said and I growled as the screen faded and I stood up.

"I have to go save them. Are you alright with patrolling Gotham alone for a little while?" I asked as I turned to face Rob and he nodded.

"Yeah. Sure. Go on ahead, they need their butts saved." He cackled and I grinned

"I'll see you later, Rob." I said and he nodded. I grinned as I teleported to where Artemis and Zatanna are.

I appeared in a dark backyard and saw Artemis and Zatanna standing in front of a home-made tombstone which is just made of wood.

"Secret." Artemis whispered and I frowned.

"Why are you guys here at Manhattan?" I asked and they snapped their heads towards me.

"There's this girl, she looked like your age, Wild. She would always say secret and led us here where her big brother killed her and buried her here." Zatanna said and I widened my eyes. How would her own brother kill her?

"I guess you listened." I heard adeep voice said behind me and I quickly turned around. A sword almost cut me in half when I pulled one of my fans and blocked his sword with it still folded.

"You killed your own sister! What is wrong with you!?" I yelled

"And that sword." I muttered as I eyed his sword and jumped back in front of Zatanna and Artemis. The man smiled in pride and I scoffed.

"You're proud of killing her? And you have the guts to write beloved." Artemis growled and a girl in all white rose from the ground. Is she the ghost?

"Ahh, cast another illusion spell." The man said

"Except I didn't speak." Zatanna said as the girl walked towards her brother and the man started backing away.

"No! Harm's heart is pure! Harm's not sorry!" The man yelled. Ok maybe his name is Harm?

The girl grabbed a glowing yellow orb from Harm's heart and Harm started struggling to move his sword as his sword fought him. The sword went back to its sheath on its own and Harm pulled out a dagger.

"I don't need a sword." He said as he tried slashing his sister but nothing happened since she's already a ghost. I kicked off the dagger and he growled. Artemis finished him off and he rolled to he ground. Zatanna chanted a spell and made Harm's clothes wrap around him. The girl walked towards her grave and I frowned.

"I can't cast a revival spell. Can Megan cast a revival spell?" I asked

"No. We don't think so." Artemis said

"What about you, Tanna?" I asked and she shook her head.

"We'll make sure you have a proper burial. We'll never forget you, Greta." Zatanna said

"Secret." She said and she shrunk back in her grave.

"I still can't believe he can do that to his own sister." Artemis said and I smiled.

"Don't worry. There's a reason why these things happen. Who knows, maybe Greta is needed back in heaven." I said as I looked up.

"She could be one of those stars already." I finished as I looked at them with a smile.

"But if my....." Artemis trailed off.

"Your what? Artemis, talk to us. Secrets don't stay buried. Obviously. It's better to bring them into the light." Zatanna said and I nodded as I smiled warmly at Artemis.

"I don't have any secrets." She lied and I just figured that she's still afraid.

"Tell us when you're ready ok, big sis?" I whispered to her as I hugged her and she nodded.

"How did you know?" She asked

"Oh come on now. I'm Wild Card! I'll know everything not even Robin will know!" I exclaimed as I pulled away and did a pose. They giggled softly and I smiled as we heard sirens.

"Cops are coming." Artemis said

"We did blow up the kitchen." Zatanna said

"You blew up what!?" I asked loudly in shock.

"The kitch---ohhhhh." Zatanna smiled nervously.

"Why would you blow up the most important room in a house!?" I asked as I grabbed a chocolate bar from my pocket and unwrapped it as I tasted the sweet taste of cocoa. Artemis walked towards a hole from the bushes and widened her eyes a bit.

"Guys, look." She said as we walked towards her and saw a shop. The shop sign is visible and the word 'Secret' is the only one lit up.

"Must've been the last thing Greta ever saw." Artemis said and I nodded.
