Wild Card Pov

We watched as aliens disintegrated leaguers one-by-one.

"No contact. All of them are gone." Ro  said as he trued cintacting anyone but failed.

"We'll capture one of the ships and attach the part to the bioship. We'll have to go out." I said as I clipped two violet fans on my utility belt. One at each side of my waist.

All of us are wearing our winter outfits. Mine is consisting of an all white suit, a white fur coat with the hood up to my head, white boots, and white gloves.

We spotted an alien looking ship and Miss Martian disabled the communication.

"Communication is disabled." She informed and I nodded as I hid by the snow. The rest went to the ship and Wolf saved Superboy from getting disintigrated.

More ships came into view and I looked at the others who are still attaching the part to the bioship. I jumped out and chanted

"Worra dna wob." I chanted and my bow appeared in my hand while my quiver full of arrows appeared around my waist.

"Go, now! I'll stall!" I yelled as I shot a ship and it crashed.

"But--" I cut Robin off.

"Now!" I yelled as I shot another arrow but the ship managed to dodge.

"I'm helping you, Wild!" Artemis yelled jumped in front of me.

"Artemis!" I screamed as the ship disintigrated her.

"No!!!" I screamed as tears started forming in my eyes and I shot the ship with three explosive arrows.

"Wild! Come on!" Rob yelled and I ran towards them as another ship came and I shot it with another explosive arrow but it dodged.

"Just explode you stupid ship!" I muttered in anger as I shot another arrow and it crashed. All of us went in the bioship and I sat down on my seat and buried my head on my folded arms which is now laying on the control panel.

"This is all my fault. This is all my fault." I whispered over and over again as I stopped myself from crying.

"You should've thrown a card in front of her, Wild." KF spat

"I know that." I muttered

"Then why didn't you!?" He yelled

"That's the problem! I don't know why! You think you're the only one who cares for her!? Well wake up because you're not the only one!" I yelled at him as I stood up from my seat.

"How can you say you even cared for her!?" He yelled

"Oh yeah? Then how can you!?" I yelled and he was taken aback.

"Sit down, you two. Fighting is not the answer." Aqualad said

"Oh yeah? Well in this condition, it is. How will you solve a problem like this? You'll fight, right?" I stated the obvious as I sat back down with my arms folded over my chest.

"Fat brain." KF muttered

"Pea brain." I said and he growled.

"So, back to the cave?" Miss Martian asked

"The hall of justice. Now's the time the humans must know that we're still here." Aqualad said and I balled my hands into fists.

"Artemis." I muttered

We reached the hall of justice and saw the military fghting the aliens. Miss Martian disintrigrated two of the ships and Superboy destroyed one. The bioship landed in front of the military and all of us walked out. But my aura is different. My head is bowed down and my hands are formed into fists. My teeth are gritted with my lips still closed.

The soldiers cheered and I rolled my eyes. Probably thinking that we're the justice league.

"I'm not Superman." Superboy said

"I don't know who you are son. But right now, I don't care." The general said

We went in the hall and I saw the statues.....destroyed. Stupid Aliens.

"They're really gone." Robin muttered. Miss Martian lifted a large debris and we saw Martian Manhunter laying there. Before Miss Martian can hug him, Aqualad stepped in front of her.

"Miss Martian, check his mind. See if it's really him." Aqualad said and Miss Martian obeyed.

"He's real. And he's alive!" Miss Martian exclaimed

"But we saw you get disintigrated. And Superman, and everyone!" Superboy said

"Yes. I remember now. But I cannot remember how I survived." Manhunter said

"Maybe the beams messed up when they passed through you." Miss Martian said

"Scrambling your brain along the way!" Robin exclaimed

"My mind is clouded. I feel that I have something important to tell you." Manhunter said 

"Rob, Wild, come on!" Kid said and we looked at him who is already running outside. Rob and I followed him and we saw him on top of the bioship. Observing the part we added. Rob and I jumped up and I opened my wrist computer as I observed the part as well. Wait....

"I knew it! This thing has the same power that runs our Zeta tubes! This thing doesn't disintigrate! It teleports!" Kid said

"Then that means....Artemis and the others may still be alive!" Kid finished.

"Maybe but--" Robin got cut off by Kid.

"No maybes! They're all alive!" Kid exclaimed and I stared at tmy computer. This is not possible. Just because they have the same power doesn't mean they use it with the same function.

"Maybe the lasers are just portals to other places." Robin said

More of those ships came and we jumped down the bioship and hid.

"We're on our way." Aqualad said

"Negative! We can't win this. Miss Martian camo the bioship-" Robin was cut off when the bioship disintigrated.

"We're falling back!" Robin said as we ran back in the hall with the general and another soldier.

"We're trapped." The general said and I pushed the elevator button and the doors opened.

"No way in olympus am I gonna get trapped billions of missions in a row." I said as they all got in side and I shot the ship that tried to get in. My bow and arrows are still with me. I got in the elevator and closed the door.

"We can all zeta to the cave. If you can grant us computer clearance to the tubes." Aqualad said to Manhunter.

"I can only do it one at a time." Manhinter said as we stopped.

Send the soldiers first." Aqualad said

"You seven are someone we can't afford to lose!" The general said and Manhunter walked in front of the Zeta.

"Override, Martian Manhunter 07." Manhunter said as the camera scanned him.

"Recognized, access granted." The Zeta tube opened and Manhunter walked in.

"Miss Martian B05." Miss Martian walked in.

"Robin B01." Robin turned to look at me and I gave him a two fingered salute.

"Stay safe." He whispered and I nodded. He walked in the Zeta.

"Kid Flash B03." KF went in but the ships found us.

"Get in!" The general commanded as I shot a ship and it crashed.

"Wild Card, B04." Aqualad pushed me in the Zeta tube. I arrived in the cave and I threw my bow on the floor.

"What's wrong?" Rob asked

"Aqualad pushed my in the Zeta just to save me from those aliens! Now, I can't protect them!" I yelled

"Our next mission. If we believe that the aliens are teleporting the victims." Robin started

"We do." Kid said

"Then we should go here." Rob said as a screen pops out in front of us.

"The mothership." I muttered

"Ring any bells?" Rob asked Manhunter as he stood up.

"No. I'm sorry." Manhunter replied

"Superboy, we need you as a distraction." Rob said

"No! He's offering you as a sacrifice. Aqualad would never do that." Miss Martian said to Superboy.

"You're right. He sacrificed himself. A mistake that cost us, our leader." Rob said sternly.

"Superboy will fit as a distraction. The aliens will come for him." Rob finished.

"Besides, he'll just teleport inside. With Artemis and everyone." Kid said

"Wild?" Miss Martian called.

"I....I think it's reasonable." I said as I folded my arms over my chest. This couldn't be true.

We finished the broadcast and all of us are preparing to fight these aliens. I know Miss Martian and some others are aliens but these ones are different. They make my blood boil.

"Wild?" Rob called and I looked in front of me and saw him looking at me in concern. He's wearing two belts filled with bombs.

"Yeah?" I asked and he hugged me.

"Please be careful." He said and I nodded as I hugged back.

"I will. But promise me, Rob. Don't die." I whispered.

"But I can't promise that, Wild." Rob whispered as I pulled away and punched his shoulder.

"You have to! For me." I muttered as I looked down and he held my shoulders.

"I'll try." He said and I stopped myself from crying.

We managed to get to the core of the mothership and Robin placed the bombs.

"We have four minutes. Let's go." Rob said and Miss Martian and Manhunter got out. The exits were blocked and I have no choice.

"I'll teleport you guys out." I said

"What about you!?" Rob asked in panic and I smiled.

"I don't have much power left. I can only teleport two people." I said

"No. I won't leave you!" He yelled and I hugged him.

"Sorry Rob." I apologized quietly.

"Hsalf dik tropelet." I chanted and teleported KF out.

"You have to go." I said as I pulled away. Tears are streaming down his face already.

"Don't cry. Please." I pleaded as I wiped the tears away.

"I-I can't lose you." He hicupped

"But the world needs Boy Wonder more than me." I said as I took off my face mask and he suddenly slammed his lips into mine. It's mixed with emotions. Love, anger, sadness. I pulled away and smiled at him.

"I love you." He muttered as more tears flowed down his cheeks.

"I love you, too Dick." I said as I teleported him out and I dropped to the floor. My body's weak. My eyelids are starting to close as I smiled.

"Three."

"Two."

"One."

"Zero." The mothership exploded.

I gasped as my eyes opened and I sat up. I'm laying on a cold hard table. I looked around and saw the others safe and sound.

"Am I dead?" I asked and all of them snapped their heads at me.

"Wild!" Megan exclaimed as she jumped out of her table and ran up to hug me. Tears are streaming down her face as she hugged me and I hugged back. Artemis ran up to me and hugged me as well.

"You're okay." I sighed in relief as I hugged them both back.

"It was awful, Wild!" Artemis cried and I chuckled quietly.

"You two looks like babies." I chuckled and they hit my arm as they kept on hugging me.

"Don't joke!" They scolded and I smiled.

"Okay, okay." I said as they hugged me tightly and I returned it.

"What happened?" I asked as I reposition myself and sat by the edge of my table with Artemis and Megan still hugging me. Black Canary, Batman, Red Tornado, and Martian Manhunter are here.

"So, I'm really dead?" I asked in total confusion.

"No. You might have forgotten, but this was a test." Red Tornado said

"The exercise. It all went wrong." Manhunter said as he gripped his forehead.

"Exercise?" Rob asked

"So we're all alive." I sighed in relief as I hugged the two girls tighter.

"Try to remember." Batman said

"What you experienced is a training exercise. Manhunter psychic linked the seven of you. You all knew this while going in. What you didn't know is that it's a failure exercise. The condition was designed to get worse. Still, you were aware that nothing was real." Batman explained

"That's why you hardly grieved." Manhunter said and I looked away.

"But all of it changed when Artemis died." Manhunter continued and I tightened my grip on Artemis.

"Miss Martian forgot that it was an exercise. Making all of you forget, too. Except for Wild who started having doubts when Kid Flash concluded that Artemis and the others were just teleported." Manhunter said again.

"I-I'm sorry." Miss Martian apologized and I caressed her arm.

"Shhh, it's alright Megan. It's not your fault." I whispered to her ear.

"We tried waking her up. But she had a death grip on the situation. Even Artemis who was supposed to wake up when she died but she was so convinced that she slipped into a coma. I realized that I have to wake Miss Martian inside so I went in. But there was so much noise that I forgot what I was supposed to do. The death of Aqualad and Superboy helped. But, only when the mothership exploded and Wild Card was silenced have I remembered what I was supposed to do. To shock Megan before all of your comas become permanent." Manhunter said and the two girls let go of me as they finished crying. My shirt is soaked with tears and I chuckled lightly.

"Sorry, W-Wild." Artemis hicupped and I smiled as I stood up.

"Come on, let's get you girls cleaned up." I said and they nodded as I led them towards their rooms.

Martian Manhunter Pov

"What troubles you, Manhunter?" Batman asked

"My niece is very powerful. She is the most powerful martian I have ever encountered. As for Wild Card, her being as powerful as the whole league makes her.......very powerful and dangerous. The greek gods blessed her with powers not even Wonder Woman received, with her help, she might unlock her powers. She just might be the most powerful heroine history will ever know of." I said

"It is true. But Batman fears that Wild  might turn bad and use her powers against us." Red Tornado said

"We must make sure that she's in the right path. Or else our world or the whole universe might be at sake." Batman said

"Don't worry." I said as I looked at Robin.

"I know someone who can keep her on the right path." I said and Batman followed my gaze.

"I agree." Batman said
