This is the rewritten version of the second book in The Our Side of The Dice Series titled, The Achilles Heel.

And I'm delighted to have you here, my loyal readers. Suddenly, My hands have increased their tax on words, and I'm finding it hard to say anything in this introductory note. One thing that's for sure, however, is that I'm glad to be writing this book again.

I love going through the journey of every one of my characters, irrespective of the number of times. My characters are human beings, although fictive, and it's okay to refine their stories as much as possible till it suits the exact image I want for my characters. This and many more reasons explain why I'm writing this book again.

If you've read the other books in the Our Side of The Dice series (Both the completed and the ongoing ones), then I need not say much to buy your interest in this book, because you know that my stories are very thrilling, dark, full of suspense, and a lot deeper than a fictional story.

My stories are heavily character-driven and mirror the vicissitudes of life. This said, my stories are not the kind you should read if you are looking for an escape from reality. My books are a harsh reality. Probably even more painful the tragedies of life in itself and so, therefore, it's not for everyone to read.

If you are a newcomer, and you are strong enough to withstand whatever comes your way as you flip through the pages, then I'm happy to have you here, and I appreciate you a lot.

If you are also a newcomer and you're doubtful of how good I am as a writer (Maybe you just clicked on this book because the book cover is appealing), you can check out my other available books in this series. Take your time and read anyone of your choice and see for yourself if I'm worth your time.

Ignore the skipped numbers in the books mentioned above. Book 3 and 4 are unavailable now but will be rewritten as well. That said, you can read any of these books and understand them.

Lastly, as I will always say, this book is purely a birth of an idea that I spent many years formulating. It's obscene, highly asinine, and shameful to steal, translate, adapt, or process someone's intellectual property without obtaining permission.

I won't pose threats that I cannot fulfill, but one thing I will let you all know, however, is that I'm very knowledgeable of the law and know how to apply it when my right has been infringed upon. Take heed.
