Raj's POV

Opening the door, I went in and saw that she was not there.

But her phone started to ring, I just looked at the screen and was shocked to see that it was Manik.

Why was he calling her now??

I thought of picking up the call as she was not around. But somehow it seemed unethical so I let it ring.

But when he called again, I could not control myself and picked up the call but it stopped ringing before I could say anything.  I checked whom had she called earlier when she was crying.

I was not too surprised to see that she had called Manik.

What is going on between them??

Why did she call him while she was crying so badly??

Is she missing him all of a sudden after she met Shahs today?

And why did Manik call her back?? Doesn't he know that she is married to me now?? Is he missing her too as now even  Roshni is not with him??

I felt a burning kind of sensation.

And I rushed out of the room and then my home.

Though I had postponed the meeting for the next day as I had to go to the party organized by her friends, I was in no mood to go anywhere now.

Myra's POV

It has been eight at night and I was still waiting for Raj to come. His phone was not reachable.

Mom came and asked me to get ready so that we could go to that party as soon as he comes.  I had already removed the heavy jewelry, I was wearing with the saree.

Following the instructions that came with the dress, I draped the saree differently and the saree was converted into a beautiful evening gown. I wore elegant jewelry and matching accessories.

" Wow!! You are looking absolutely gorgeous, Raj would not be able to take his eyes off you. " Mom said and smiled for her sake as she is very sweet.

" Where is Raj, I told him not to go to the meeting. Let him come, I will scold him. "

" It's ok, I will tell them that we had guests at home or we had to go somewhere else so we can't come today. "  I said with a faint smile while I was feeling very bad that he didn't even come.

" What are you talking about, beta, they organized the party just for both of you and invited other friends too. How can you think of canceling it? You go and attend the party I will send Raj as soon as he is back. " Mom said.

"  But, it will look very awkward if I will go alone. It's ok, they are my friends, I will take care of it. "  I shook my head. Just then Dad also came looking for Mom.

" You are still here, where is Raj? Let me call him. " Dad said and tried but his phone was not reachable.

" Beta, you go, as soon as I can contact him, will send him there. " Mom said.

" Mom, please don't force him. I will manage. "  I said and went to the party.

All my friends were disappointed and asked me about Raj. I didn't know what to say so I lied that he was stuck somewhere and that he would be here as soon as he can get out of there.

" But we held this dinner especially because we all wanted to meet him as we could not meet him at your wedding."  One of my friends said.

They all did not say much later but I knew what were they thinking. So to prove them wrong I kept smiling though in my heart I felt like crying.

Though I deserve this for messing up so many lives, I was feeling very lonely and sad at the moment.

" Myra, will you mind if I ask a question??" My friend asked. I didn't want her to ask me anything but I shook my head.

" Is everything alright between you and Raj??"  She asked.

" Yes, of course!! Why are you asking such a question? "  I asked.

" I don't know, the way you got married... I mean, is he nice to you??  I am sorry to ask but I am concerned about you. " she said looking worried.

" We are absolutely fine! You organized this party without asking us first. I got married, and they had not even planned the wedding.  I still wonder how they managed everything. Even today we had a  ceremony at home, he was with me for the whole day but he already had a meeting scheduled for this evening so he could not go earlier as we had so many guests at home. " I explained.

" But still, who would go to attend a boring business meeting leaving his such a pretty wife waiting for him and facing her friends alone because he couldn't come to the party even when they were the guests of honor for the party? " She said.

" You are being unreasonable now. You should have asked us, if we were free or not, I am newly married, and I have some family obligations. So many friends and relatives of my and Raj's family have invited us for the dinner. I had thought of saying that we can't make it today but Still, my family insisted that we must go. And here you are talking like this, for god's sake you are my friends, you should understand my situation. I came because you invited and now you are insulting me, by making comments about my husband and my marriage. " I said in a sharp tone. As I could not take it anymore, a lone tear rolled out, and excused myself and got up to go home.

Just then someone caught my hand and I was about to snap at the person to leave me alone.

" Where are you going, Myra? " I heard his voice and turned immediately, he was standing there looking absolutely handsome.

Another tear dropped but it was out of happiness that I felt so good to see him there.

" Raj, where were you??  What took you so long, I got so worried, are you alright? I was going home now. " I said.

" Hey, calm down!! Ask one thing at a time. Sorry for being late but I was stuck somewhere. Will tell you later, let's not bore everyone with boring meeting details. I am fine... I mean I was fine till I came here. But now, I don't know... "  He said with a smile.

" What happened now?? " I asked with concern.

" You are looking so pretty, my heartbeat has increased many times. You should not have looked so pretty, especially, when you were coming alone. " He said looking at me and smiling.  I just kept looking at him.

What happened to him??

Whatever it was, I was happy that he was here and behaving normally.

" First of all, let me click a picture of both of us and send it to Mom and Dad or they will not let me enter our home." He said and clicked a picture of both of us and sent them.

What was he doing?? He was being normal like he was before that night in Surat.

"  Don't look at me like this...  I feel shy. " He said. I smiled.

" Awww... They both look so good. Congratulations, to both of you. " My friends said.

" Thanks, a lot. Myra, please introduce them to me. " He smiled at all of them. I introduced all of them to him and he behaved as if we were an absolutely normal couple.

The music was very good and my friend insisted on us dancing, but he said he was dead tired. But I was in a good mood as he was behaving very well, so I pulled him to the dance floor, he again told me that he was tired and as it is, we came here to meet my friend, so we must spend some time with them.

" Just one dance, they are also expecting us to dance together. Please, Raj. " I insisted and he nodded reluctantly.

Just then his phone buzzed, he looked at the phone and got away from me. 

" I am sorry, will be back in a minute, I need to take this call. " He said and went away.

After about 5 minutes he came back and there was a drastic change in his mood.

He came and danced with me but he seemed to be preoccupied and made polite conversation with me.  After about some time, he said that he wanted to go home. Though our friends wanted us to stay for longer, he insisted that we need to go, but at the same time, he thanked them politely and said that very soon, we would invite all of them for a dinner.

They all were impressed by him and we came back.
