Myra's POV

" Are you sure that my name is even written in her Mehandi??" Raj asked with a hint of sarcasm.

" Of course, why are you asking that? " Sia aunty said.

"  Have you all forgotten that she was supposed to get married to Manik, so his name must be on her hand, not mine?"  He said. I just wanted to go away from there as I was feeling hurt.

" His name was never written in the Mehandi, I added your name when she got ready with the instant color mehndi tube. " Sia aunty said.

" But the Mehandi function was on the previous day and by then, he was... " Raj was saying.

" Well, when the Mehandi was being applied to her hand,  she had refused the artist to add any name, it seemed very odd at that time but now I think that maybe she didn't feel that connection with him to get his name written on her hand. I don't know why she refused so firmly, maybe it was a sign of destiny, Maybe because your name was supposed to go on her hand as you were destined to be together. " Sia aunty said.

Raj looked surprised and confused. He looked at me for a few seconds and then looked away.

" Ok, now find your name. " Priya aunty said.

" Later on, mom... I have a meeting. " Raj said.

" Meeting?? Are you out of your mind?? You got married last night. You are not going anywhere, spend some time with Myra. C'mon, find your name now. Show your hand, Myra beta. " His mom said.

I extended my hands for him to see. He looked at my hands.

" Hold her hands to keep them steady, how will you find the alphabet like this? " Priya aunty said.

  He caught my hand and started looking for his name. I felt some kind of sparks where he was holding my hand but could not find it.

He was still looking for it but could not find it so he pulled my hand a bit to have a closer look. He was very close to me now.

What are you doing Raj?  Hurry up, Bhai. Turn her hand a bit. Or check the other one." Ron said.

He pulled my other hand too, hence he was closer to me now,  holding both my hands. I was getting affected by this proximity. My heart was beating faster. My face was red by the time he found out most of the alphabet, only 'V' was left.

I was getting too conscious as everyone was looking at us and  Ruhan winked at us.

Idiot!!

Finally, Raj found it and once he showed it to everyone.

My arm was touching his body. I couldn't even breathe and my body stiffened a bit. He looked at me and realized the fact that we were sitting very very close and released my hands immediately and looked in another direction.

They all clapped and asked us to feed some sweets to each other.

He made me eat a kaju katli ( cashew Barfi) I took just a small bite. And picked up another to feed him. But Sia aunty told me to give him the same one I had tasted. He ate the whole one and got up.

" I got to go for the meeting. " He said.

" You will not go to the office, why did you keep the meeting today? " Aunty said.

" The meeting was fixed last week, I had no idea that I was going to get married or I would not have fixed it. " He said in a somewhat hard tone.

" Ok, fine! Either postpone the meeting or your dad or chachu will take care of it. " Priya aunty said.

" Mom, he is a new client, he knows me as he is almost my age,  so he would be comfortable dealing with me as I persuaded him to take the cloth for us. It is a very big order, so I have to go. " Raj said.

" In that case, I can go and meet him. He would not even know that it's me and not you. That way you can spend time with her and I will go and have that deal finalized for you. " Ron said.

" No, I know you can act like me, but it is about skills. You usually work with mom, so you have more knowledge of her business. I know more about clothing and textiles. I don't want you to say something wrong and spoil the deal.

" Fine, you go for this meeting but come back on time as you have to go to Myra's home to have dinner with them and bring her back. " Rahul uncle said.

" Rahul, Rohit... book their tickets for a honeymoon tour immediately. " Priya aunty said.

" Hmmm! Where would both of you like to go? I will make all the arrangements by evening. "  Rohit uncle asked.

"Nowhere, I have lots of work, we have a new project. " Raj said.

" See, my dear boy, you joined the business just last year, while Rohit and I have been doing this business even before you all were born. So don't worry about the project and work. You are both going on a honeymoon trip. " Rahul uncle said firmly.

" Dad, try and understand... " Raj said. He looked as if they were giving him a punishment. He got up and left the room before even finishing his food.

Why was he behaving like that? Did he agree to get married to me under any pressure?? We need to talk, I have to clear a few things up.

Ron and aunty went after him.

" Uncle, please let it be, he is busy," I said to uncle.

"  Busy?? I am still the boss, I grant him a leave for 1 month. You both are going, now let your Rohit uncle know, where you want to go. "  Rahul uncle was adamant.

Raj's POV

" Where would both of you like to go? I will make all the arrangements by evening. " Chachu asked.

How could I go on a honeymoon with her all of a sudden? We had no feelings for each other.

She wanted to get married to Manik and must have thought of going with him.

"Nowhere, I have lots of work, we have a new project. " I  said

" See, my dear boy, you joined the business just last year, while Rohit and I have been doing this business even before you all were born. So don't worry about the project and work. You are both going on a honeymoon trip. " Dad said firmly.

" Dad, try and understand... " I tried to make him understand but then could not take it anymore and left from there to go out.

" Raj... Wait!! " I heard Ron's voice he and mom followed me to my room.

" Please, I don't want to discuss it anymore. "  I turned to look at them and said firmly.

" Raj, but you need to spend some time with her to start a normal life. If you go on honeymoon..." Mom was saying.

" I am not going anywhere, I got married because you all wanted me to marry, now please don't force us to start our relationship just now. We need some time and space. She was supposed to get married to my best friend at this time yesterday. How can you expect us to start our relationship so instantly?? For god's sake, leave us alone for some time. We need to realize and accept from within that we are now married to each other. " I said.

" What is going on?? " mom asked getting tensed.

" Mom, please relax and go, it is between both of us. We will tackle it. Even she didn't want me, got married to me because there was no other option. Please leave us alone, don't send us on honeymoon as yet. "  I said.

" Mom, Please go, trust me. He is just a bit upset. I will take care of him. But please don't force them to go on a honeymoon right away. Give them at least ten days. " Ron said
She nodded and went away though she was still tense.

" Why are you snapping like this if we are talking about your wedding? Why are you behaving as if you are a victim?? We didn't force you to get married to her. " Ron scolded me.

" Really?? You literally forced me to get married to her. " I said.

" What the hell!! If you didn't like her, why did you agree to marry her, I didn't force you, I just said, that I will get married to her if you don't want to. "

" But you don't love her. So I had to. " I said.

" How does it matter if you don't love her? I could have married her. "

" But I didn't want you to suffer in a loveless marriage. So I... "

" So you sacrificed?? Do me a favor, spare me this burden. I forced you to marry her, I will take her responsibility.  I will take the blame and apologize to her and her family. I hope she would understand and forgive me, and if she doesn't, I will be ready to face any punishment she and her family would decide for me. We will get you divorced and I will marry her. " Ron said and went away.
