Chapter #3: Marks explores the apartment

Mark looks horrible, as if he has not slept in a week. He has bags under his eyes that  are very low and full of color to the point that the rest of him is pale as a ghost. "Can I come in? Or are you just going to stare," said Mark. Barry moves back, giving space for Mark to come in. They were very silent as they walked to the living room, passing many rooms of plain white walls.

Dust was collecting on a windowsill. There was green-brown mold collecting on a bed in the corner. Mark had a particularly blank face. He wanted to say something but he didn't. "Say something instead of just staring," Barry said. He was frustrated at the fact that Mark was looking at the mess of the house with a face of disgust.

"Well, it is not my fault, the only reason why we know each other is because we are childhood friends, remember," Mark said. "Wait, so you mean when we went to school and you got after-school detention because you said something about the teacher's appearance?" Barry asked, shocked. "To be fair," Mark stated, "she was a prostitute during the night, so I complimented her by stating, 'your ass and boobs only look good when they are on the streets." Barry, who looked like a ghost, went from shocked to beat red. Laughing so hard that he fell onto the floor, dying of laughter.

Mark, on the other hand, remembered when Barry told him that he had a goal of being a scientist that studied extraordinary diseases in the brain. Mark remembers when Keith and Barry would get into fights over who was going to stay with him, he knew both of them had a crush on him.

Mark smiled, happy that his childhood friend was able to laugh when he looked deathly pale. "Barry, where's the bathroom," Mark asks, suspicious  of the house's layout.

"It's down the hall to the left," Barry replies, walking back to his room, closing the door. Mark is now left alone going to the bathroom. Down the hall to the left. I might as well look around before going back to Barry.  As he walks down the hall, he suddenly gets confused, looking around to see why he feels this way.

As Mark opens the door in one of the rooms in Barry's house, he notices all the mold and dust that covers the chairs and dressers. It's similar to a bedroom, that's weird. I thought that Barry lived alone or did he have someone over? Maybe someone else lives in the same house with him? After looking around, Mark left the room, closing the door, trying to remember the way to the bathroom.

Barry was in his room reminiscing about how he and Mark used to be in high school together.
