Training Begans
I raced faster as the beast came closer, closer, and closer saying, it's time to wake up. Then it grabbed me!!! "Ahhh!" I screamed. My heart raced as fast as a cheetah on high speed. " Yuki, it is just me." A deep voice answered. "Oh, Fang, sorry about that..." my voice trailed of by the sound of the wind. "It's fine, you need to wake up. It is time for training." Then, he walked out of the apprentice den, his tail swishing behind him. I got up even though my tiredness was trying to force me to go back to sleep.
I woke up from the cool moss bed and left with Fang. "Ok, today, I will teach you some good techniques to hunt. So, you will stalk up closely to the animal you want to kill. For example, say you want a mouse. You hide up to something that the animal could not see you, like a thick tree." He pretended the dead mouse was alive, and he hid behind a tree. Then he moved behind the tree one by one. After a few seconds, he stalked up behind the mouse and then.....attack! He grabbed the mouse at a fast pace. "Wow..." I whispered surprised. He smiled and nudged his head to tell me it was my turn. I gulped.
I walked up to where he was standing and stared at the mouse. "Now, find a place to hide behind." He instructed. I quickly and quietly hid behind a large rock. "Like this? " I questioned. "Yes, just like that, you're doing great, keep going." My eyes was gleaming with pride. This time I stood with more confidence and hid behind two more trees until the angle of the prey was right. Then, I attacked, holding and grasping on to the prey as if it was wriggling, trying to get free. "Very good!" He told me. I jumped up and down with happiness. "Now, tomorrow, we will practice with real prey. I will be looking foward to see you with a prey in your jaws." Then, he smiled and turned away. I smiled back.
