It all happened at once. My dad was texting and my mom was telling him something. I have a really excellent memory even though I was four. I was the only daughter in this family. All of a sudden, I only remembered a flash of a light and loud screeching. Air bags popped out, but too late. They missed my parents. I heard police cars, ambulances, and fire fighters trying to help. That is all I remember. I had fainted in an instance.

I woke up on a bed at the hospital. It was a year later now. I was paralyzed for a year. I looked around. People were talking about me. "Hi there." A man said to me. I just looked, confused. "So, can you tell us your name?" He asked trying to comfort me. "I don't know....." I said so quietly that a ladybug could hear me. "Oh, ok. We will be taking you to the orphanage so you don't have to live under the road, ok?" He said sadly. I looked really confused. "Where is mommy and daddy?" I told the doctors. "Well, um, they....." They didn't want to tell me because they thought I was too young to know. "Where are my parents?" This time I said it with more confidence. They didn't have a choice. "They died..." For some reason, I understood. Tears ran down my face. I took a big breath and screamed and cried. It can't be, that was to short. I wanted to live with them forever. Gone.
