The stars were twinkling as if it was telling me it was time to sleep. I looked at Fang, who was fast asleep. In human life, I was sixteen, in his human life, he was seventeen. I sighed. I have to tell him how I feel. It can't be like this forever. I want to be part of his life. I want to be more than just a warrior who just talks and listen to his order since he is like a deputy. Oh, you guys probably don't know that I beacame a warrior a few moons ago... I wish he knew how I feel about him. "Is something bothering you?" A deep sleepy voice answered, but yet tender. Now is my chance, say it. " Um...I...I was just hungry!" I stammered. Ugh, why couldn't I say it! "Oh, there is a pile of mice and a few leftover deer over there." I looked at a small corner of the den with food. "Uh, thanks..." I got up and started tearing up the meat.

While I was gulping downctso mice down my throat, wanting some more, I heard pawsteps, coming my way. "You mind if i join?" I looked behind me. It was Fang looking tired. "Oh, no, not at all." I replied trying not to sound nervous. He walked up next to me to eat.

After I ate, I went back to sleep. Fang went back too. I got all nice and comfy in the soft grass and closed my eyes. All of a sudden, I heard footsteps that didn't come from a wolf....a human! I sprang up and tried to warn the others. But all of them were tired from the ten hour training last night. It was up to me to save the pack. I slowly and quietly padded out of the den. I walked and followed where the sent was coming from. It was all the way out of the territory, into the deep forest.

I raced faster and faster, catching up to the strong wind. I have to save my pack, I have to, I kept thinking in my head. Then.....BAM!!! I was immediately caught in a wolf trap, in a net! I howled with fear, hoping the pack would hear me. Then I saw something glittering deep in the forest. The rest of the wolf pack! Ara was in the lead. Followed by Fang, Haku, and some of the other big wolves. The smaller wolves had to stay and be protected in the nursery. They all howled and came closer, and closer.
