Alby and Ryan were behind two large trees and the three girls were hiding behind a bush. It was easier for them to peep through the bushes rather than the boys without the risk of being seen.

They wanted to know what these people were upto especially as they were heading towards the so-called haunted house. It was clear that these men were behind all the ghostly things happening here.

They couldn't see the front door from their positions. None of them moved for a while. As soon as they heard the door shut, the boys ducked to the bushes where the girls hid and they kind of quickly formulated a plan.

Airin would go to the other side of the house to see if she could see something through the windows. Jessy would stay with Bella behind a nearby bush that hid them better and at the same time gave them a better view of the front door. Ryan and Alby would sneak at the back side of the house and peep through the windows of the kitchen.

They moved swiftly. Jessy squatted beside Isabelle. Suddenly she felt the tightness in her thigh. She remembered that she had her phone in her pocket. She took it out. It wasn't dead yet but there was no network coverage. Something clicked in her mind. She told Bella not to move for any reason and she ran towards the front gate hiding behind trees and bushes in between her run. She managed to get few clicks of the mini van and get back beside Isabelle just in time to hear the front door. The three men were leaving.

They just closed the front door and left without locking it. They got into the van and drove off. They all waited in their positions until the rumbling was no longer heard. And then everyone came out of their positions.

Airin said, "I didn't see anything as they didn't get to the rooms. They went elsewhere."

"We saw them. They went to the kitchen." said Alby.

"There's a secret door on the wall. They went through it. But I couldn't see the inside of it." added Ryan.

"Let's go and check it out." said Jessy eagerly.

They all went to the front door and just like it happened before, it opened for them when they were in front of it.

Alby was about to enter when Jessy stopped him. "Let us form groups. One will enter while the other stays out. We don't want to be locked inside and go through all the efforts to come out by climbing down through the balcony. Or get stuck inside if they have locked that balcony door." said Jessy.

Everyone wanted to go inside and no one wanted to stay behind but at the same time they didn't want to get locked inside. It was only Isabelle who agreed to stay behind. Finally, they decided to take turns to go inside. First, Alby, Ryan and Airin would go. When they get back, Jessy and Isabelle would go with Alby.

The first group went inside while the other group waited outside hidden from view, just in case they came back. A few minutes later, the front door closed on its own. Jessy and Bella stood waiting for their turn.

Inside, three of them went straight to the kitchen. "The secret door is there." pointed Ryan to the place just beside the writing in blood. They approached and searched for any kind of mechanism to open the door.

"Here it is." saying that Airin pushed the button she found near to the floor.

The part of the wall with the writing slided smoothly showing them a room behind it.

"This is the reason why they kept the writing here itself." said Ryan.

"Wait, let's not go in together." it was Alby this time. "What if we got locked inside. We need to be careful."

"I will stay here. You boys go inside first." said Airin.

The boys were shocked when they got inside. The room had a lot of things and different boxes. They searched around and opened one of the boxes. They both looked at each other. It contained small packets of white powder. They had their doubts. Alby pocketed one of the packets and closed the box. They also found jewelry in some small boxes.

After looking at all the places inside the secret room, they came out. They told Airin what they saw. They let her have a look. But she didn't want to investigate further.

They didn't find any mechanism to close the door. Ryan pressed the same button that opened the door and to their surprise it closed.

When they reached the front door, they searched for some similar button to open the door. Alby found one near the top and pressed it. A small part of the wall slid but it didn't open the door. It revealed a small lock which had to be opened with a key.

When they couldn't find the key, they just gave three bangs on the door as a signal to Jessy, as agreed.

Jessy was feeling impatient waiting outside. She looked at her phone and it showed her 3 PM. The battery was getting very low. Just then she heard the signal.

"That's the cue for us." Jessy said to Isabelle and they walked forward. As expected the door opened when they were just in front of the door.

The group came out and told what they found. Alby was investigating the area they were standing when he found that they were standing on a rug which didn't look like a rug. He asked everyone to step out. They climbed down the steps and just then the door closed.

Alby removed the rug that was identical to the floor. He walked over and saw that they were triggering a switch that opens the door. Whenever they stand on it, the door would open.

Alby took Jessy and Bella inside as it was their turn now while Ryan and Airin waited outside.

Jessy's face widened with surprise when she saw the hidden room. She took out her phone to take some pictures. When she was about to click, the battery died completely.

"Oh no. What a bad luck." said Jessy.

"Come on. Let's go, they are waiting for us." saying that Alby led them out. They closed the door and came out. They remembered to leave the house just how it was before so as not to give any suspicions.

They bid farewell to Bella and told her they would be back in the weekend. They walked few metres and retrieved their bikes that they had hidden in the bushes nearby. They didn't talk during their journey back. Everyone was deep in thoughts. By the time they reached home, they were completely exhausted.
