Different

Hiccup Horrendous Haddock the Third was different. He was the big Hiccup of the village. Except, he wasn't big and didn't like to fight, and generally stayed out of trouble, well, unless he created the mess.

One day, his father, Stoick the Vast, decided that he needed to start turning into a real Viking.

"Hiccup, son."

"Yes, dad?"

Hiccup answered him, looking up from his small doodling notebook.

"Well, we need to start your dragon killing training."

"What!?"

"What do you mean what? It's time for you to finally become a Viking."

"But I don't want to kill dragons. Actually, I WON'T kill dragons."

"Well, you will. Or there will be consequences."

"Ok."

"Fine. I did warn you"

Then his father walked out, ready to finish preparing for a visit from their allies, the dragon hunters.

The next day, the whole of berk stood in front of the docks, as an armada of ships with an odd crest on them surrounded the front of the island. The biggest ship didn't stop but got closer to the island, before docking on the empty space waiting for them.

"Ah, Stoick."

Said the captain of the ship, Viggo Grimborn.

"Viggo."

The two chiefs greeted each other, shaking hands firmly, each other's eyes not leaving the others.

"So, do you have what we discussed?"

"Yes."

"The village looked a bit confused and questionably looked at their chief, looking for answers.

"Hand it over then."

The village was silent, some of the older ones knowing what was going to happen.

"Dad?"

Hiccup said, the most hated person of the village, as his father handed him over to Viggo.

Viggo smiled and handed the young boy over to his guards who quickly chained him up. By now, the whole village, including Hiccup knew what was happening. Hiccup had this furious disbelief in his eyes, trying to force himself to believe that this wasn't happening.

Viggo turned around and marched back onto his ship, the guards bringing a struggling Hiccup up the ramp, and onto the ship.

The village couldn't do anything as their heir was sailed away.

-----------------------------------------------

2 years later, they finally decided to stop killing dragons, but still didn't want them anywhere near them. So, they got rid of their alliance with the dragon hunters.
