The A.K.A Files

"Ay-lliot Ay-"

"Ma'am its pronounced E-lee-ot."

"Ai-lot"

"E-lee-ot"

"Ay-lliot Ayven."

Alliot sighed and crossed her arms over her chest.

"Jackson Miller."

'

"Jacky!" huffed a girl in a dark leather jacket. She had short messy black hair with side swept bangs.

"Jackson is the name your parents gave you and its the name I'm going to use."

Jacky mumbled something causing the kids around her to snicker.

"Jackson thank you so much for volunteering to show our new student around campus!"

"What!" Jacky cried, "Its a small campus! Surely she can find her way around herself!"

"Are you asking for a detention Ms.Miller? Because I can happily give you one."

"Fine."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The bell rang and students poured into the hallways murmuring quietly amongst themselves as they made their way to the cafeteria.
Alliot felt a hand on her shoulder right as she was about to head to the bathroom.
"Your Alliot, the new kid right?"
She turned around to see Jacky from English standing behind her. She had her jacket tied around her waist so her Bon Jovi shirt was there plain to see.
"Yeah, I am. Arent you supposed to be the one showing me around?"
"I was getting to that. There are some things you need to learn about this school. We are all separated into groups. Its kind of hard to explain and i'm too lazy to do it so i'm just going to show you in the lunch room."
Jacky placed an arm around Alliots' shoulder steering her in the direction of the lunch room.
The room was filled with large lunch tables, it was easy to see what Jacky ment about everyone being separated.
Each group took up two lunch tables, but the table were Jacky was steering Alliot to was only half full.
She was greeted with smiling faces, "This is Alliot. She's new here."
"Hi," a boy with shaggy brown hair and green eyes said as he tugged on her arm to make her sit next to him. "I'm Ash. The diva that brought you here is my sister."
That earned him a slap on the head.
"If you don't mind I'm going to take my friend, over to get lunch." And with that Jacky tugged Alliot over to the back of the lunch line.
"Gah! Venice King! Don't make eye contact!" Jacky used the sleeves of her jacket to cover her eyes.
Alliot looked curiously at the boy standing in front of them. He was tall, judging by his build he was athletic, he had brown hair that curled around his ears.He must've heard Jacky scream since he turned around and shot Jacky a glare before his blue eyes turned to rest on her.
He smirked, "Well, well, well, so its true a new girl has come to Sea Point High. Whats your name newbie?"
Alliot could hear Jacky give a squeak behind her. "Alliot Kiara Ayven."
The boy arched an eyebrow, "Isn't that a guys name?"
"Its written with an A not an E."
They moved up the line, "I never got your name."
"Venice King."
"LIke in Italy?"
"Yeah, like in Italy."
He turned away from her when it was his turn in line.
"What the flip dude? Do you realise who you just SHARED A CONVERSATION WITH?!"
"What? Jacky calm down."
"YOU JUST SHARED THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE WITH VENICE FREAKING KING! DO NOT TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!"
"Whats the fuss?" Alliot furrowed her brows, "He seemed nice, cocky, but nice."
"You have a lot to learn."
They grabbed their lunches and walked back to the table, were more people have joined them.
"Where did Ash go?" Alliot asked the new girl in front of her. "Oh don't worry about it. He's always walking off to his other friends. He joined the football team you know. I'm Maisy by the way."
Alliot acknowledged her with a nod and turned to look at the table where Venice KIng sat at.
He was talking to a boy with blonde hair and brown eyes.
"Okay" Alliot thought, "That's hot."
Jacky rested her chin on her shoulder "I see you have found the table full of hot muscled gods."
Alliot shrugged her shoulders, "Eh, I've seen better."
Jacky gaped at her. "Take me to your land."
"Trust me," Alliot said turning to look at her friend, "You don't want to go to my land. No matter how hot everyone is."
Jacky gave her a look but said nothing.
"I cant believe you talked to jackbutt King."
"Jackbutt?"
"I'm working on my swearing"
"Ah."
" Soooo," Jacky said as she rested her head in her hands, "I really don't know anything about you."
"My name is Alliot Kiara Ayven. Im 16-"
"HA im older than you!"
"Jacky!"
"Hmm?"
"Shut up."
"Huh? Oh yeah......sorry." She cleared her throat and gestured with her two fingers to proceed.
"At the moment I live with Karen and Martin Fox. I have three other siblings, Andrew, Mae, and Chris. I have only met Andrew so far. I have a foster sister named Emilia she's our age, and we've been foster sisters for as long as I can remember but she's living temporarily with a another family while they move her stuff here."
"Oh, so sorry! I didn't know you were in the system. Crap that must suck." Jacky whispered glancing around making sure no one heard.
"It's fine. It's not like it's some big secrete anyways."
"But still, you have only met one of your three siblings? That must suck!"
Alliot shrugged, "You don't miss what you never had. Besides I got to go to this real cool camp for a whole summer and be acquainted with my brother."
"Hottie at four o'clock!"
Alliot turned to see the boy with blonde hair and brown eyes. He was tall, he was very fit from playing football, but his eyes were full of character. He had a small beauty mark under his left eye. His lips were....
Alliot looked away blushing.
"Hi I'm Wesely. Rumour has it that you're new to Sea Point High."
"The rumour is true."
"Oh, cool. Well, i gotta run....so....see you around." Wesley turned around to walk back to where Venice was sitting.
"Y-yeah, uh s-see you around." Alliot stuttered.
"WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM!!!" Jacky screamed in her ear, "WHY IS IT THAT HOT GUYS KEEP COMING UP TO TALK TO YOU!!!"
Alliot shrugged, "It's no big dea-"
"No big deal?! Dude if you keep this up, I could actually pay them to come up and talk to you!"
Alliot laughed and playfully shoved her new friend.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

That afternoon, after the dismissal bell rang, Alliot said goodbye to Jacky and Asher and made her way to her temporary home.

Mrs. Carter greeted her at the door, "How was your first day?" she asked shutting the door.

"It was fine."

Alliot was used to the awkward first couple of days of being in a new foster home. IT usually went both ways, especially since she was their first foster child.

"Any new friends?"

"Yeah, I met a few here and there."

"Oh, who are they? I might know their parents."

"Jacky and Ash Miller, and Venice King." Alliot didn't know whether or not she considered Venice as a friend, but she just wanted to make the list longer for her foster mother.

She ran up the steps before she could give an answer and hollered behind her shoulder, "I've got a lot of homework so I'll just come down for dinner!"

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
About having a lot of homework wasn't exactly a lie, she just didn't want to suffer the awkward conversations with Mrs. Carter.
She sighed and opened the laptop her foster sister Emilia gave her, or more like stole for her.
She had an email from one of the teachers;
Dear Ms. Ayden,
I was wondering if you would be able to tutor a student of mine that has been struggling in English. I think it would help this student to get a better future in this subject.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Johnson
Alliot shrugged her shoulders, and typed in a quick response stating that she would be happy to help in any way that she can.
A pop-up notification said she had a new email. It was from her social worker, she would be staying at Sea Point for six months.
"What?!" She glared at the computer screen. The longest she's ever been in a foster home was a month-more or less.
She groaned and fell back onto her bed, the list was getting longer and longer.
She shuffled around so her head was facing under her bed, she used her hands to lift the floorboards, revealing the small metal box she kept her valuables in.
She grabbed it and shuffled backwards onto her bed again.
She sat with her back leaning against the headboard as she stared at the object on her lap.
Her shrink said that it was normal for foster kids to keep things like this. She pulled out a chain from under her shirt that held the key to the small box.
Its was opened and she pulled out the list of foster homes and parents.
There were 26 names in total.
The Greys
The Lings
The Camels.......etc.
She was classified as a number three, one being very easy to handle to five meaning a big handful and hard to watch over.
Suddenly her phone started to ring and she reached over to pick it up from the night stand.
Hello?
HI ITS JACKY!
Jacky? Wait.....how did you get my number?
Oh....yeah. I swiped your phone during last period and got your number. No biggie. Oh.....andIalsogaveyournumbertoAshtogivetoWesley.
YOU WHAT?!
Ya, you're welcome. And I also said you would go to the skate park with us.
JACKY!
Again you're welcome. Wesley is gonna be there too so wear cute but i-don't-care-if-they-get-messy clothes. You're coming in ten! Bye! Oh and.....again you're welcome.
Alliot turned around and smacked her head against the wall.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Ten minutes later she was standing in the entrance of the skate park waiting for Jacky.

Sure enough she spotted a head of messy black hair bobbing towards her.

"Alliot! C'mon we're waiting for you!"

Jacky took Alliot by the arm and dragged her in.

Its wasn't like any skate park she'd been to. It was BIG and DARK and the air was filled with the loud roar of music and metal barrels with planks of wood were scattered everywhere made for a makeshift ramps. A fence blocked off the middle of the arena where a huge half pipe was located.

I havent been to a skate park in ages! Alliot thought as she saw a group of kids from her school gathered around what looked like a bar.

"Look who made it!" Jacky exclaimed as she forced Alliot to sit down across from Wesley and right next to Venice.

They were all sharing a big basket full of chilli fries. It looked pretty crazy, the tables where barrels with planks of wood carefully nailed on top of them. They were all seated on buckets, while the boys were using their skate boards as chairs.

"Want one?" Wesley asked holding out a a chilli frie, she nodded and shoved it into her mouth. "Very lady like," he laughed and she smiled while taking another frie.

Alliot heard a thump and looked over to see Venice plop a large binder and a thick book onto the table.

"Man, why are u bringing school to the place we built so we can forget school?"

"I'm practically failing English right now. Mrs. Johnson had to assign me a flipping tutor to get me through the trimester!"

"What!" Alliot exclaimed, "Mrs. Johnson just assigned me to tutor someone!"

"Crap! Now I'm stuck with you too! Even better." Venice mumbled something about getting a soda and stormed off.

"Jeez, what crawled up his butt?" Jacky said walking behind were Alliot was sitting. "Rich boy problems?" Jacky laughed as she leaned her fore arms against Alliots shoulders, she took a frie right from Alliots hand as she was about to plop it into her mouth.

"Hey I was going to eat that!"

"Well too bad."

"I don't think he likes me very much," Alliot said as she turned around in her seat to look up at Jacky.

"Eh, don't worry about it. His dad probably isn't giving him any more money until he gets his grades up."

"Venice is loaded?"

"That would be an understatement. Venices dad is a physiologist, a really good one at that, and his mom is a doctor, she mostly works with kids with leukemia. No worries he isn't the stereotypical rich kid that practically has no parents, his dad works from home but his mom is sometimes on the occasional business trip to another hospital."

"How do you know so much about him?"

"Were neighbors."

"Oh."

"He isn't all that bad once you get to know him. Honest," Wesley piped in as he scooted his chair over to join the conversation, his legged brushed Alliots making her blush.

"How about you, Alliot? We don't know much about you?"

"Oh, would you look at the time! Alliot needs to go home! Don't you?"

"Well actually no I can go home whenev-"

"I can take her home."

"No really it's fine Wesley-"

Alliot tugged Jacky back, "What are you doing?" Jacky gave her a look, "Do you really want Wesley to figure out your in the system?"

"Jacky I seriously don't care. I've been in the system my whole life everyone will find out eventually, and besides ill probably be gone by then."

"Fine. I see your point, you win....this time," she gave a dramatic evil cackle and shoved Alliot right into Wesley.

"Woops! Sorry." Alliot murmured embarrassed, "Do you want me to take you home?" Wesley asked.

"Uh, sure. I'll show you where I'm staying."

Wesley led her out of the skate park, the outside air was just starting to get cold and the sun was disappearing behind the hills.

Parked outside was sleek black motorcycle, Alliot stopped in her tracks.

"What? Don't worry I'll be easy on you...at some point!" He laughed and winked at her.

"It's not that. I've driven plenty of motorcycles, it just surprised me that's all."

"My family's pretty loaded, got this beauty on my sixteenth birthday. I got an actual car when I turned seventeen, but I prefer to drive my bike."

Wesley reached over and removed a helmet from the back of the seat, "Here put this on."

"What about you?" she asked, "Don't you need a helmet?"

"Aw, worrying about me already sweetheart?"

"W-what, no!"

Her words never reached Wesley's ears when he hopped on the bike and kicked at something causing it to roar to life.

"Hop on!" Wesley shouted over the roar of the bike.

Alliot quickly slipped on the helmet, adjusted the strap, and threw her leg over the seat of the bike. Hesitantly, she wrapped her arms around his waist, she was highly aware of how their bodies were so close.

The motorcycle sped off.

Alliot held on to Wesley for dear life once she realized how fast they were going. He leaned so far on turns that made her fear that their knees would brush the pavement. Once they sped off onto the highway she relaxed and leaned her head on Wesleys back.

Jacky would have a field day is if she caught them like this, Alliot thought.

She almost groaned when they turned into her neighborhood, she really didn't want this ride to end. Her exposed skin stung a bit, but that didn't affect the happiest day she's had in a long time.

They pulled up in the driveway, Alliot slid off the motorcycle and shook her head out of the helmet grinning.

"So," Wesley asked, "How was it?"

"That was amazing!" she said handing the helmet back to him.

"Thanks for the ride."

He gave her a nod "Anytime."

Alliot gave him a smile and just as she turned away he grabbed hold of her upper arm.

"You take the bus to school right?"

She nodded.

"I could give you a ride," Wesley scratched the back of his neck nervously, "Well, I mean, If you want to....."

"That'd be great. Thanks."
