Bonding Moments and the Unlocking of Powers

I soon woke up to feeling something in my hand. As I woke up, I saw Noah sleeping on a chair next to me in the infirmary room on the ship. He woke up as soon as I did. "Kuuipo! You're awake! I was scared when you passed out. You used too much power, mon amour." I blushed as he squeezed my hand.

"Let's go into the dining room." He said as he helped me up and we walked to the room. "You know, I had a weird dream that the hostage was-" I was starting to say as we walked in and saw him. "Nope nevermind it wasn't a dream."

Flashback (2 years ago)

It was the biggest party of the summer. Jyoti and I snuck out of camp to have some fun at a party that my friends from school were throwing. She shadow traveled us to California and to the address that my friends sent me.

"Hey guys!" I yelled as the music was overwhelming and they opened up the door. "Hi Kuuipo. Who's your friend?" Kenzie asked. "Oh this is Jyoti." I said as she waved shyly. "So you're the infamous Jyoti Kuuipo talks about." I heard Adam say as he wraps his arm around Kenzie's waist. Yeah, they're dating.

"Well, c'mon in!" Kenzie said as we walked in to see a huge crowd of teens. "Woah..." I said in awe. "Yeah, the whole school's here! Let's go dance!" She exclaimed and then dragged Adam unwillingly to the dance floor.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm gonna go eat." Jyoti said. I nodded and  we walked to the table of food and drinks. I didn't feel like eating so I just grabbed a cup of punch. And guess what? It was spiked with alcohol. Well, I guess I'm getting drunk tonight.

After a couple drinks I felt not as nervous and decided to dance a bit. There were bodies all around me and I couldn't care a bit. Logan didn't return my feelings for him and I needed to get over him. He didn't deserve me.

I felt a body next to mine and I looked up to see an Asian boy with an eyepatch and brown hair and eyes. "Heyyyy we got a pirate up in heree~" I slurred. He chuckled. "You're funny." Smiling, I looked up at him. "You're cuteee~" I giggled as I hiccuped from being kind of drunk.

"Hey, you wanna go eat something?" He asked. You could tell he was slightly drunk. But since I was completely ditzy, I didn't notice. I nodded my head and we headed for the food table once again. "Hey guys! There's a shot contest! Whoever wins gets this nice ass trophy!" Kenzie yelled from a mic on the music stage.

"C'monn, let's gooo!" I yelled and pulled Ethan along with me. There was a table that was lined up with a bunch of glasses of shots in a row. "We'll go first!" I yelled as he went on one side of the table and I was on the other. "Ready, set, go!" Adam shouted through the microphone.

One shot after another, we kept going until we met in the middle and we drank the last one. I looked over and saw that he was on my side more than I was on his and that he won. "I won!" he cheered and we both just laughed and went back on the dance floor. 

We were super drunk by then and we just all of a sudden started making out. Yeah, and then I couldn't remember the rest of the night...

Time Skip to morning

"Ugh, where am I?" I looked over to see Ethan next to me. "Oh my gods!" I shouted as I quickly dressed into my ripped jeans from the night before and a random shirt on the ground. It was a bit big, but who cares?

At that time Ethan woke up and looked at me with wide eyes. "Wait, did we..." He asked and I nodded, kind of scared. "It's okay, don't freak out!" he said. "If it makes you feel any better, I'm a demigod too." I looked at him shocked. "How did you know I was a demigod?" I questioned, about to get out my sword.

"You were rambling to me about it. And you were talking in your sleep. Daughter of Aphrodite, right?" He asked as I nodded and sat back down on the bed, feeling a bit less nervous. "Who's your godly parent?"

"Nemesis."

"What happened to your eye?"

"I gave it up to my mom for balance in the world."

"Did it work?"

"Yeah."

"What's your last name?"

"Nakamura."

"Wait? Ethan Nakamura? Didn't you die during the titan war?"

"Yeah, I did, but I don't know how I got to the party and I didn't know where else to go so I just stayed." He explained. I nodded, understanding what he meant.

"Oh my gods! Where's Jyoti? I can't go home without her! And what am I gonna tell her?!" I started to freak out. "It's okay, I'll help you find her. She should still be here because she wouldn't have left without you." He tried to calm me down.

"Sorry, I usually don't freak out that much but since last night happened and stuff, I can't do anything but freak out." I said as I sat on the edge of the bed, facing the other way as he changed.

"Umm, you're wearing my shirt..." He trailed off. "Oh, sorry-" I was saying until he interrupted. "No it's fine! If you can't find your shirt you can keep mine. I'll just stay shirtless. It's no big deal." He said, shrugging.

"Okay, do you wanna go look for Jyoti?" I asked.

"Sure."

Flashback end

We found her sprawled on the couch so I took a few pictures (for blackmail reasons of course)  and we shadowtraveled back to camp, after I explained everything to her. She didn't freak out that much.

Anyway, back to the present.

"Umm, hi Ethan, remember me?" I asked. "Kuuipo?" he asked, shocked, and I nodded. "Uh, how do you guys know each other?" Noah asked.

"J'ai peut-ętre eu une nuit avec lui. Et il était mon premier... (I may have had a night with him. And he was my first ...)" I said, nervously. "Huh?" everyone said confusingly but Noah understood since he was from France and spoke it as his second language, and Daniel plus Silena knew what I said since we all know how to speak french from being kids of Aphrodite.

"You guys WHAT?!" Noah said, getting a bit angry. Power started rolling off his body and it looked like he was about to explode. "It was two years ago! We were at a party! Please don't kill anyone! C'était pour franchir Logan, s'il te plaît, tu dois me croire! (It was to get over Logan, please, you must believe me!)" I said, getting scared.

Daniel and Silena looked at me shocked but then they looked like they didn't care, as if they've done it too. Which they probably did.

He stormed out as I started to cry and I ran out of the room to the control room. I heard running as Silena, Daniel, and Jyoti came out to comfort me. "I had no idea what you guys said, but I probably already knew the information so whatever." Jyoti said.

I heard more footsteps and I didn't want to know who it was so I created a dark bubble/dome surrounding us in a closed area and you couldn't see who was outside, so that was good too. "He's mad at me for a dumb mistake I made two years ago! It was one of the only things I did that helped me get over Logan when he didn't like me back!" I wailed.

I felt so defeated. I love Noah so much and he got so mad at me and I don't know if he'll forgive me and I can't even talk to him. "Jyoti? Can you go get the tub of ice cream in the fridge?" I said, sniffing. She nodded and shadow traveled out to get it.

"If it makes you feel any better, I know a power for both of you guys that you probably don't know about." Silena piped up. I looked up at her to see her smiling and sitting cross legged across of me as I used Daniel as a pillow.

"I just found this out before I died and no other child of Aphrodite knows about it. So if you snap your fingers, you can see people's aura and the ones who are the same are soulmates. You just have to trigger it. I unlocked mine after Beckendorf died and Clarisse was comforting me and then pinched me, telling me to snap out of it." she explained as Daniel and I looked at her, eyes wide.

"I have an idea! How about you start thinking about all of this again, and I'll pinch you. I mean, it might not work, but it's worth a try." Daniel said. I nodded as I started to think about the situation again. I started crying again, worse than before.

What if he breaks up with me? It'll be worse than when Logan told me we were just friends. Why am I such a softhearted daughter of Aphrodite? I then felt a shock of pain as Daniel pinched me.

"Oww-woah..." I said as the pain subsided and I looked at a glowing red Daniel and a glowing neon pink Silena. I looked down to see myself not glowing. "Wait, what about me? Why can't I see my aura?" I said, slightly dissapointed.

"I guess you can't see your own. That happened to me too." Silena explained. "Daniel, do you want to do it too?" I asked. "Nah, I'm good. I have nothing to cry for." he explained.

"Well that made me in a better mood." I said as Jyoti shadow traveled back in. "What did I miss?" she asked. "Well, I got a new power. I can match soulmates!" I said, squealing. I mean, this is going to be super fun.

I then released the barrier and we walked out of the control room eating the tub of ice cream Jyoti retrieved. I looked as Silena went back to Beckendorf. Good, their auras were the same color. Same with Daniel and Callen. But as I looked at the single people in the room, they had auras as well, even the ex-huntresses.

What's even cuter is that Luke and Zoë both had golden auras.

"If you were wondering, Noah and Logan haven't gotten back yet." Luke said. I nodded and sighed. "I'm so sorry, Kuuipo. I-" Ethan started.

"No, it's okay. It wasn't your fault. We were dumb and drunk and did things we weren't supposed to. I just hope that he understands that." I sighed.

As soon as I said that, Logan and Noah walked in. I snapped my fingers and almost gasped aloud.

Jyoti and Logan had different auras.

They weren't soulmates.
