Worlds in Danger
The time has come to continue, people! However, before we dive into this new chapter, I have to explain a few things, so please, read all of my own words here so you'll understand what's going to happen. Based on the votes from the recent update chapter, more people chose for me to create my own stories and arcs for 5th Hero, rather than moving on to the light novel portion of the story. Now, I'll be getting back into canon material once the second season of the anime debuts, but, for now, everything is going to be filler. Next, i'm going to try and do a little bit of crossover with some of my other series I've done. It's a unique concept and it'll help to better introduce some of my other OC's to you all. I've got a nice long arc planned ahead and i'll be focusing on some of the other heroes too, not just Ayu and her party. We'll get some POV's from Naofumi, Ren and all the rest down the line. Now, I think that's all I wanted to say. I'm sure i'm forgetting something and i'm sure i'll remember what it is by the end of this chapter. Regardless, here we go everyone! Some entirely brand new and original content for the 5th Hero! ENJOY!
-3 Days after the marriage of Melromarc's newest king and princess-
-POV: 3rd Person-
After the war against the dreaded demon came to an end, word of its defeat traveled across the land to every country. Nations celebrated for its fall as their world had just become even brighter than it once was, all thanks to the efforts of its five cardinal heroes and king of Melromarc. But, with a new light, it also carries the burden of birthing a new shadow.
The word of the demons defeat had spread so far that it even reached the darkest depths of the underworld, a place where only the hateful and dark monsters call home. And, in the heart of this dangerous realm, lied a throne room clad in black fog housing four supernatural beings. There were monsters.... Devils..... Demons.....
"Master..... Sefira has fallen. We of the five demon knights have been cut to a mere four. How will we exact our revenge on those foolish heroes and that stubborn king?" A female demon asked another who sat in the throne.
"Sefira was young, childish.... She was no demon knight. We remain strong, even without her. Our plan will proceed. However, without her power, we are no match for the five cardinal heroes." The demon king stated as his followers gathered before him.
"Then how do we respond, my lord?" A male demon asked his ruler.
"Sefira's battle taught us that the heroes of this world can combat any challenge they come across. But, what of the challenges from another world?" The demon king questioned as his three followers before him all looked at each other with surprise.
"Master, are you saying we can gather forces beyond our world? How is this possible?" Another male demon asked.
"With great sacrifice. But, with the power I possess, I shall enable you three to travel to different worlds and gather dark forces to combat this world's heroes. We will triumph and rule this world! We will cast it in eternal darkness!" The demon king roared as his followers cheered with him.
"The time to act is soon coming! Prepare yourselves, my brethren! For we shall not fail!" The demon king preached as he and the other demons laughed maniacally; their laughing reaching through the walls of the throne room, scattering through the depths of the underworld.
-POV: Ayu-
Despite becoming a princess to the entire country of Melromarc, I was actually surprised when it turned out I didn't have to do any of the normal "princess duties" that you'd expect. No negotiations or anything like that at all. I could still be myself. And, I was very thankful for that.
There was currently three weeks until the next wave hit. Plenty of time for all of us to rest and recharge. Naofumi and his party have already gone off to train. He wanted to make sure Rishia grew stronger and more confident in her abilities before the next wave. She's got a tough road ahead of her but i'm sure Naofumi will turn her into a fine warrior.
As for the other three heroes, each of them are taking the day off to enjoy themselves. Motoyasu, Slut and the rest of their party went to a nearby waterfall to enjoy the scenery. And both Ren and Itsuki's parties went to the beach. It was rather hot today so that was probably a good idea.
And, as for me and my party, we were taking the day off as well. And, with me now being a princess, me and my party members were allowed to stay in the royal castle. I wouldn't say it's great though..... more like amazing! Quality beds to sleep in, maids, and even some of the best chefs in the country. The term "pampered," would be an understatement here.
Currently, Neela, Xev, and Krystal had all gone out to enjoy the sights of the royal kingdom, leaving me and Alex to ourselves. And, as for me and my new husband, we were currently waking up from our sleep together.....
"Morning, my king. Did you have a nice sleep?" I asked him as I slipped out of bed and put on some clothes.
"Absolutely. Felt even better with my new princess here with me." Alex said as he put on some clothes as well.
"Care for some breakfast? I feel like cooking us something this morning, rather than letting the chefs do it themselves." I asked him as he quickly nodded in agreement, like a puppy asking for a treat.
"That would be lovely. Thank you, Ayu." Alex said as I walked out of his room and the flights of stairs to the kitchen. But, about halfway down, a thought dawned in my head.
"Why am I walking down all these stairs when I can just fly down?" I questioned as I jumped off the side of the railing and floated down to the ground, flapping my wings which were greatly slowing my descent.
I landed on the bottom floor gracefully, like a gymnast striking a pose at the end of their performance. Luckily for me, I was able to quickly gain total control of these wings in my back. The only hard part now is figuring out how to implement them in my fighting style now. I mean, me and Neela both learned how to wield our magic abilities without our weapons during our early days of training pretty quickly, so how hard can it be?
I thought of how to use these wings of mine as I cooked up breakfast for me and Alex. Today felt like an omelette day, so I whipped us up some steamin' hot dishes, mixed with some green onions, chopped up bacon, some cheese, you know, the usual. I then flew back up to Alex's floor with my wings while carrying our breakfast and I went back into the room.
Alex's mouth might as well have been watering when I brought the food in. He liked my cooking THAT much. We sat down at the table in his room and ate together, and Alex nearly melted when he took his first bite.
"Oh my goodness, it's even better than the last time!" Alex said with a mouthful of food which made me laugh a bit.
"You kidding? This is nothing. You should try one of my specialties. Your stomach will want to jump out of your body and onto the plate so it can suck up all the food." I jokingly explained to him as he now laughed.
"I like the sound of that. Maybe I can make arrangements tonight, if it's not too much of a bother to you, of course." Alex said as I happily agreed. However, as we were about to continue our conversation, a loud explosion occurred outside. The two of us rushed for the windows to see if we could figure out what caused the explosion. It happened inside the kingdom's walls and a massive cloud of smoke was slowly rising up into the sky.
"I can't tell what's happened down there! Alex, get ready. We're going down there immediately!" I said as he gave me a nod. We both then armored up, me putting on my signature purple and black armor, and Alex dawning his golden king's armor. And when we were ready, we swiftly exited the castle and made our way to where the smoke was coming from.
When we arrived at the scene, we could see a monster was destroying everything in its path on one of the streets in the kingdom. Krystal, Xev, and Neela were not here, meaning they were most likely on the other side of the kingdom. Which meant it was up to me and Alex to defeat this thing.
The monster was probably around fifteen feet tall. It was dark blue in colour, with razor sharp claws on its hands, an alligator-like tail, long fangs, and some pointy looking spines coming out from its back. It roared as everyone around it fled to try and save themselves. But, the monster was trying to corner some of them and attack them. And, it was able to trap 3 people in an alleyway that led to a dead end.
"Come on, we've gotta save those people!" I said as me and Alex rushed the monster. I took flight with my wings, aiming to hit the monster from above as Alex would attack it from the ground.
"Hey! Over here, you ugly beast!" Alex called out to it as he used an iron ball and formed it into a sword to combat the creature. It turned to face him and it attempted to swipe its claws at him. Alex's sword and the monsters claws clashed and they entered a shoving match with neither of them giving up an inch of ground.
"You're looking in the wrong place, monster! Up here!" I shouted as it looked up to me, descending down to it with my axe in my hands. The monster roared at me as it used its free arm to swing its other set of claws at me.
"Soaring Thunderbird Axe!" I shouted as my weapon changed forms, dawning feathers and symbols of thunder an lightning along its blades. I brought my weapon down and struck the monsters claws. It then received a massive shock from the blade as the monster wailed in absolute pain.
However, as the monster screamed in agony, it reached up and grasped the end of my axe in its hand. It yanked it out of my hands and threw it away, easily one hundred meters away so it would stop shocking it.
"Ayu, your axe!" Alex shouted as he side stepped, making the monster lose balance. He then slashed downwards, slicing up the monsters right arm, but not cutting it off.
"Don't worry about me. If Neela's taught you and I anything, it's that someone who relies only on their weapon to fight isn't deserving the title of a warrior. So, i'll prove that i'm more than just that weapon!" I shouted as I clapped my hands together. Suddenly, both of my hands began to produce a light blue cold mist from the skin.
"Ice Cold Stance: Freezing Fist Formation!" I shouted as I threw a strong punch at the monster. It caught my fist and engulfed it in its massive palm, but that was all part of my plan. The instant the monster touched my hand, its own began to freeze, becoming encased in a thick layer of ice. I then pulled my arm away from the monster, slipping it through its frozen hand.
"Alex, now! Strike its other hand!" I yelled to him as he gave me a nod and lunged for the frozen hand. He managed to strike it with his sword and the impact of his blade on the ice caused it and the monsters hand to shatter into multiple pieces. The monster bellowed as it grasped its arm, blood gushing out of the wound everywhere. It began to whimper and turned its back to us, beginning to run away, heading for the kingdom's walls.
"Ayu, it's trying to escape! Cut it off and we'll surround it! Hit it with a pincer attack!" Alex ordered as I agreed. I took off higher into the sky, staying above the monster so i'd know where it would be at all times. And, Alex closely followed it on the ground. We kept our eyes on it until it reached the kingdom's limit. There, I swooped down and landed at the entrance to the city, blocking its escape. The monster froze in its tracks and fell over in fear as Alex appeared behind it, giving it no way to escape now.
"Give up, monster. It's over. Your wrath ends here. Accept our mercy by letting us give you a quick and painless death." I said to it as my hands ignited into bright orange flames.
"No, please! Don't kill me!" The monster said which came as a surprise to us both.
"You could talk this whole time?" I questioned it as it started to cry from its fear.
"Please.... If you don't kill me, then i'll share some valuable information with you. Just please, let me live!" The monster begged as I looked over to Alex. I saw him sigh and then he gave me a nod. I extinguished my fists and we both walked up to the monster. Alex put his sword up to its neck and I stood in front of it with a menacing gaze.
"Talk. And, if we figure out you're lying, then you can kiss your life goodbye." I said as the monster took a big gulp and then a deep breath, trying its best to calm itself down so it could speak.
"Okay..... Okay...... I'm a monster from the underworld. I was.... Well, myself and a bunch of other monsters were sent to the surface as a distraction, so that our rulers could begin their plan." The monster explained as we both grew curious.
"And who are these "rulers," you speak of?" Alex asked it.
"Do you remember that demon that was defeated not too long ago?" The monster asked as only bad memories came with the question. All the things it made me do..... it sent chills right down to my very core.
"What about it?" I asked the monster.
"It was part of the high council of the underworld, one of the five demon knights who rule our territory. Each demon knight is as powerful as the last, except for their king, who's known as Aidoneus. He leads the demon knights and rules over the underworld with an iron fist. And he's the one who gave us the order to come to the surface and wreak havoc." The monster explained as I looked to Alex with a horrified expression on my face.
"There's more of them....." I said with fear in my voice. If what this monster said was true, then there's four more demons out there, just as, if not more powerful than the one we just defeated.
"Continue. What's this "plan," these demon knights are trying to pull off?" Alex asked.
"Well, with only four of the knights remaining, they know they cannot combat the five cardinal heroes, even with the might of their king. So, the king is using his own energy, pure dark mana to open portals to other worlds. And then, each of his three servants will travel and seek out those with the darkest intentions in the other worlds, and raise an army to destroy the heroes of this world." The monster explained.
"And let me guess, these demons want to shroud our world in darkness, just like the other one did?" I asked as the monster gave me a nod.
"And just when we thought we were rid of this demonic threat once and for all. Like a hydra, if you cut off one head, more take its place." Alex said as I agreed with him. But, as I was about to ask the monster another question, the sky suddenly became filled with black clouds.
"What's going on? What's happening!?" I questioned.
"It's begun. The demon king's about to open up the gates to the other worlds." The monster explained as three massive pillars of black light came down from the clouds, connecting them from the sky to the ground.
"Those must be the portals this monster spoke of! Which means these demon knights are already on their way to the other worlds!" Alex said as I turned back to face the monster.
"Tell me, how long will these portals stay open?" I asked the monster.
"For as long as it takes for one of the demon knights to return, or, when the demon king runs out of dark mana. But, even in both situations, there's no telling how long each will take." The monster explained as I looked to Alex.
"We need to notify the queen and gather the rest of the heroes! Come on!" I said as Alex withdrew his sword, morphing it back into an iron ball an putting it into his pocket.
"Wait... you mean you're letting me live?" The monster questioned as I let out a sigh.
"Since you gave us this information, we'll spare you. But show your face in Melromarc again and it'll be your life we take, not just your hand." I threatened it as it gave me a hesitant nod before standing up and running through the gates and out of the kingdom.
"Come on, Ayu. We must hurry!" Alex said as he started running for the castle.
When we got to the castle, we informed her majesty of what we discovered and what was going on outside with the black pillars. She saw it as a state of emergency and called for all the heroes and their parties to return to the kingdom at once. Luckily, they all weren't too far away, each returning in under an hour. I informed my party members of what was happening, and then each hero and their parties gathered in the throne room so we could figure out what to do.
"Now that you're all here, it's time we discuss what's happening. My son, the king, and princess Ayuma recently combated a monster in our kingdom's walls. When cornered, the monster revealed some truly frightening information. That demon that was defeated not too long ago was not alone." The queen explained as nearly everyone gasped in shock.
"Wait, are you saying there's more of these things!?" Motoyasu asked as the queen nodded.
"Precisely. The one that was defeated was part of a group known as "The Five Demon Knights," and they're led by the very ruler of the underworld, the demon king, Aidoneus. These demon knights are all of equal strength, meaning they all pose just as much of a threat as the one before. Which means this crisis at hand has the potential to threaten our world and our entire existence." The queen explained.
"But, it took us everything just to beat one! And, even then it still wasn't enough! The only one who could really harm it at all was the king, and I doubt he could take on four more of them, let alone the king of the underworld!" Itsuki said as I sent him a glare. How dare he say that about Alex. He's more than capable of defeating more of these demons.
"There is some other news we found out. This monster informed us that the four remaining demons could not defeat the five cardinal heroes with their current numbers, which means, they now fear us. But, this means they'll go to drastic measures to ensure they defeat us." The queen explained.
"What kind of drastic measures?" Ren asked.
"The demon king is using dark mana to generate portals to other worlds. And the other three are traveling to these worlds and recruiting soldiers to form an army against us. These portals the demon king's created only stay open so long as one of his servants are still inside it, or if the king runs out of mana. But, from where we stand, we don't know how long they'll stay open." Alex explained.
"So then what do we do about this whole mess?" Naofumi asked.
"The answer is quite simple, actually." Alex said as everyone became curious.
"And that might be?" Motoyasu asked.
"We will go to these other worlds and create an army of our own. Surely, there must be those with good intentions in their hearts who would fight back against these dark forces." The queen said as everyone became curious.
"And how exactly will we get to these other worlds?" Ren asked.
"Well, the demon king's left the portals to them wide open. So, we'll enter and return before his servant does, or before the king runs out of energy." Alex explained.
"That's a pretty crazy plan, even for you, your majesty. What happens if we don't come back in time?" Naofumi asked.
"Then you'll become stuck in whatever world you're in. And then we'll have to come up with a way to rescue you. But, if you're all swift enough, then that shouldn't be an issue now, should it." The queen said as everyone let out some sighs, knowing we really didn't have a choice but to go along with this plan.
"So, if there's three portals, then that means we'll have three teams. With Ayuma having 5 members in her party, and the rest of us heroes having 4 members, that gives us a total of 21 warriors, which means each team will have 7 members on it. How do we determine who'll be on which team?" Itsuki asked as the queen stood up and pointed to the left side of the throne room.
"I've already determined that matter. Now, everyone who I name, go to where I am pointing. Ayuma, Itsuki, Alex, Krystal, Filo, Rein, and Clair." The queen said as the 7 of us walked over to where she was pointing. I knew who everyone was except for these Rein and Clair people. Rein was a bulky looking knight who was on Itsuki's party. And Clair was one of the mages on Motoyasu's party. She wore a green tunic with a green witches had, and she had a wooden staff which she used for wind magic.
"Now, the next team will step aside to the right of the room. This team will consist of Naofumi, Motoyasu, Neela, Rishia, Eshilda, Lorena, and Bren." The queen said as I saw Eshilda was an archer on Itsuki's party, Lorena was a woman who specialized in martial arts skills, and Bren was a man who used defensive style magic, just like Naofumi. Both of them were part of Ren's party.
"And, to the 7 of you still standing in the centre of the room: Ren, Raphtalia, Slut, Xev, Sasha, Mithra, and Tamaki, you'll all be our final team. Sasha was the second woman on Ren's party who used martial arts. Mithra was the other mage who was part of Motoyasu's party who also used wind magic. And Tamaki was a swordswoman who was on Itsuki's party.
"Each of the heroes who are on your teams will lead you in your missions. You all must bring back as many suitable warriors as you can find. And please, do not seek out the demon in each world. We wouldn't want to bring any harm to the people of these other worlds now, would we?" The queen said as we all agreed.
"Now, all of you prepare yourselves! Our survival relies on the success of all your missions! Do not fail us, or these demons will have won!" The queen stated.
"We will not fail you, your majesty!" We all called out to her as we bowed to her.
"Good. Now, make haste. The sooner we begin our missions, the better. Myself and my daughter, Melty will stay here and protect our kingdom while the rest of you build our new army. Best of luck to you all." The queen said as she then bowed to all of us. Each team then left to go and prepare themselves. Me and Itsuki gathered our team in mine and Alex's room where we discussed our plan of attack when we arrived in this new world.
"So, how should we do this? Split into two teams at the start and spread out our search? Divide and conquer style?" Itsuki suggested as I shook my head.
"Don't get me wrong, that's a good idea, but we have no idea what's waiting for us on the other sides of these portals. They could house nightmarish monsters even worse than the ones in this world. I think it's best we stick together at the start until we can determine if it's safe to separate." I suggested as everyone seemed to agree.
"How do we go about finding warriors who'll help us then?" Rein asked.
"That's the tricky part. Since we don't know anything about these worlds, we won't be able to know who's good and who's evil right off the bat. We'll just have to observe for the time being until we can determine if someone is suitable or not." Itsuki explained.
"He's right. This is entirely new territory for all of us. This isn't like going to another country. This is different world's we're talking about. This is bigger than all of us. If we fail, then i'm sure our world won't be the only one these demons cover in darkness." I said as everyone agreed with me.
"Everyone, get ready. We move out in 10." I said as everyone went to gather what they needed for what was to come. And, in the time span, Alex took me into a private room so we could talk.
"If anything happens while we're in this new world, just know that I will always be with you.... right here." Alex said as he put his right index finger over my heart.
"I know..... But.... I know we'll make it through this. I said that nothing will separate any of us ever again, and that's a promise." I said as Alex leaned in to try and kiss me. But, Filo then started knocking on the door.
"Hey, are you in there, Ayuma!? Everyone's ready! Can we go now!?" Filo asked as we both sighed and came out of the room.
"Well, if everyone's ready, then let's do this." I said as everyone nodded in agreement. We all had everything we needed for this mission and we headed out of the castle, taking carriages to each of the portals.
The portals themselves were set up in a triangle formation and our team was headed to the one closest to Melromarc. And, when we arrived at the portal, we saw how big it really was. It was ludicrously massive, easily a mile in diameter, shooting straight up into the sky. The 7 of us stood at the edge of it, waiting for the order to step into it.
"If any of you want to turn back, now is the time. We won't blame you for wanting to stay." I said as everyone looked at each other. But, no one budged. We were all dead set on this mission.
"Very well. Here we go." I said as we all stepped into the portal. We were engulfed first by the dark black light but then it changed to a blinding white light. We could feel ourselves moving but the light was so bright that we couldn't see what was happening. All of it lasted for a moment though as we near instantly stepped out of the other side of the portal.
"Where are we?" Clair asked as we all took a look around. It looked like we were in an alleyway, with a road crossing at the end of it. I looked up and saw clear sky, the sun shining down on this place. I then looked behind us and saw the portal was gone.
"Crap! Don't tell me the demon's already found soldiers in this world! The portal's disappeared!" I said as Rein turned around and stuck his hand out. And, when he reached far enough, his hand disappeared. He then pulled it back and the rest of his hand reappeared.
"No, I think it's still here. It's just invisible." Itsuki suggested as we all seemed to agree.
"Itsuki, come with me. Let's scope out to see what this world looks like." I said as we both walked to the end of the alleyway, peering our heads around the corner to get a good look. We were in a modern looking city, with cars driving down the roads, the people wearing very modern clothing, even having cellphones and earbuds.
"Wait.... is this our world?" Itsuki questioned as I had the same thought in my head.
"Di we actually just get transported back to our world, Itsuki?" I questioned as, from across the road where a nearby bank was, its windows shattered and three people came rushing out, each wearing masks and carrying bags that were no doubt full of money. But, as much as I wanted to say it was a normal robbery, that thought quickly dashed when these men each displayed some sort of ability. One turned his right arm into a cannon, firing a cannon ball at the entrance to the bank. The second grew two more arms from his sides, and the third, he grew in size, growing to about 40 feet in height.
"Nope! Definitely not our world! I don't think that's normal for ours!" I said as Itsuki agreed with me. And, before I could say anything else, Itsuki ran out of the alley and after the thugs.
"Wait, where are you going!?" I shouted to him.
"The queen said we shouldn't fight the demon, and I don't see it anywhere around here! And, if it's looking for those with dark intentions, then if we stop those who do have them right now, that'll slowly limit who the demon can find!" Itsuki explained which actually was pretty smart.
"That's gotta be the smartest thing you've said since becoming a hero. Alright then, come on, everyone! We're stopping a robbery! But no killing, got it!?" I said as I now rushed out onto the street, with everyone else following me. Itsuki drew his bow and prepared an arrow to strike the criminals. He took aim and had his shot lined up within a second.
"Wind Arrow!" He shouted as he launched his arrow, with a vortex appearing around it as it flew. The arrow then struck the ground in front of the criminals, create a wall of wind which stopped them all in their tracks. The three thugs then turned and faced us all and started laughing.
"What the hell is this? Looks like all you are ready for cosplay event or something! Get out of our way or you'll taste the power of our quirks, you here me!?" The 40ft. tall thug said as I took flight with my wings, meeting him at eye level.
"I don't think you know who you're dealing with, pal. We're not cosplayers, but we are going to kick your asses. Now, are we going to talk, or are we going to fight?" I asked him as I took out my axe and gripped it tightly in my hands.
"The little girl's got some bark to her, that's for sure. Let's see if I can't pluck those wings of yours!" The thug with the cannon for an arm shouted as he fired a cannon ball at me.
"Now, Barbarian Minotaur Axe!" I shouted as my axe changed its form. I brought my axe behind me and then swung it forward as the cannon ball approached me. I smashed my axe against the ball and used my weapons shockwave power to launch the cannon ball back down to the thug who fired it at me. His buddy with the extra arms dropped his bag of money and pushed his friend out of the way. He then reached out and used all four of his arms to try an stop the cannon ball.
"Careful! I don't know what her quirk is, but it's clear she's got some serious power! She must be one of those third years from U.A!" The thug said as he stopped the cannon ball dead in its tracks.
"Don't know what you're talking about, nor do I care! Now, let 'em have it, everyone!" I ordered as all my allies began to charge these thugs. But, before we could begin our assault, a massive and thick wall of glass suddenly appeared between both our groups.
"THAT'S ENOUGH!!" Someone shouted as we all stated to look around for who yelled. But, we couldn't see anyone on the ground who could've made this wall.
"This is work for a hero, so you need to back off!" The same person shouted as I then looked to the only other place they could be. Above. Sure enough, there was someone there, standing on what looked like a platform made of the wind. They were slowly floating down to the ground on it. And, when this person came down to my level in the sky, I got a good look at them.
It was a boy, probably around Alex's age at 18, and he had medium length brown hair, green eyes, and he had a burned in hand print over the right side of his face, as well as, some gold and red tinted goggles resting over his forehead. He wore what looked like a full red and black combat flight suit, army regulation black boots, and black gloves. But, like the burned in hand print, two more things stood out on this person. First was their left hand. They were missing fingers, just like I was. They were missing their pinky and ring fingers. And then, the second thing that stood out was much more distinct. Their entire right arm was made of pure diamond, all the way through, and all the way up to their shoulder.
"Who the heck are you? And why did you stop us?" I asked this boy as he gave me a glare.
"Because this is something that a hero should fix up. Not some...... vigilantes." The boy said.
"That answers one of my questions, now answer my first. Who are you?" I asked him again.
"Tenshonoma Cryshiki. Call me "Cry." I'm a hero in training at U.A high school. Code name: Arsenal" The boy explained as he flew into battle against the thugs.
Just who exactly was this Cry person who randomly showed up in the middle of all this? And how did he make a huge wall of glass just appear like that? And, on top of everything, what the heck are these "quirks," that everyone's saying? Well, hopefully we can get all of answers sooner rather than later, because our timer is quickly ticking away, and, if we don't finish our mission fast....
"Things really are going to get a whole lot more harder, aren't they?"
