ONE DEMON DOWN!!!! ONLY THREE MORE TO GO!!! Drake makes a huge statement by taking it on and, while he may not have been the one to kill it, he did a damn good job in his battle. And we've got to give a little props to Itsuki and Ren for helping too. And Temair.... my god, I love writing him so much. His weapon is just amazing, and its final form is just absurd. Easily one of the most powerful weapons I've ever created for an OC. But, I need to stop rambling and get on with things. Time to check in on our small infiltration team who we haven't seen in a little while. Enjoy!

-POV: Damos-

After Tetsa found the queen and princess, she fought against one of the generals that these demons brought back from another world. Her name was Cinder and she wielded this unbelievable type of magic. But, knowing my sis, she was able to take her down no problem. But, now we all face an even greater challenge. A demon has appeared before us, named Kovas. The raw power emanating from his power is enormous. It made me feel like an ant looking up to a giant. This would be no easy fight.

"Rishia, take the queen and princess and get out of here. We'll hold off this guy." I told her as she looked to me and Tetsa with worry. 

"But you can feel it, right? He's way to powerful for any of us. You're going to die if you fight him by yourselves!" Rishia said as I raised up my right arm and aimed it at a wall next to Rishia. I launched a fireball that knocked down the wall, making a hole that conveniently led outside.

"Our mission was to come here and save the royals, so you take them and ensure we do that. Me and Tetsa have faced demons before, so we may know what to expect. We can take care of him." I said to her. 

"No, please! Our forces need you two! Don't throw your lives away!" Rishia pleaded as me and Tetsa let out some sighs. We then picked up the princess and put her onto Rishia's back. I then picked up the queen and put her into Rishia's arms while I pushed her to the edge of the hole.

"We're sorry. But it's for the best. Now, go!" Tetsa said as she walked up and pushed the three of them out of the castle. We looked down to see them falling but Rishia used her magic to create those wings of wind on her back. 

"She'll get them to safety. And, as for us...." I said as we both turned back to face the demon. 

"A final noble act for the both of you. However, you will understand that it won't matter at the end of all this. You'll die very soon, as will your friends and the royals you just saved. The darkness spawned by the demons will scatter across this world and the rest we have opened. We will conquer all of existence." Kovas said to us as I cracked my knuckles. 

"Blah, blah, blah. Darkness this, darkness that. We've heard it before, pal. And we've stopped it from happening every time. This won't be any different." I said to him as Tetsa made her extra huge bow appear in her hands. 

"God Slayer Secret Arts: Cataclysmic Eradication Trigger!!" She roared as a gigantic arrow appeared as she drew back her string. She fired it right at Kovas and hit him dead on, piercing through his body and making him explode into pieces. 

"Jeez, doesn't the term "hold back," mean anything to you?" I asked Tetsa as she let out a small chuckle. 

"I was testing to see how much pressure this demon could take from our attacks. And, it seems it's no different from the demons of our world." Tetsa said as her bow disappeared. 

"Oh really? I think you'll quickly find out that I far exceed those pesky demons that inhabited your wretched world. Compared to them, I am a god and they mere insects who crawl at my feet." We heard Kovas say as he reformed his body before us. 

"Terrific. He can regenerate his body." Tetsa said as we both took battle positions.

"I foresee that neither of your magic types will be able to slay me. Do make the smart decision and allow me to slay you where you stand right now. I give you my word your deaths will be quick and painless." Kovas offered us but it was pretty obvious what our answers were going to be. 

"Zenith Wyvern Roar!! Shadow God Roar!!!" We both, well, roared as we unleashed our mighty breath attacks, combining them into one huge black and blue flames geyser of magic. 

"What a fuss...." Kovas said as he reeled back his right arm and thrusted it forward into our attack. He created a shock wave from it so strong that it blew away our attack with ease. And, his shock wave kept on going and struck me right in my chest. I was sent flying backwards and I landed hard on my back against a wall. 

"Damos, no!!" Tetsa shouted to me but she was in no better position. Kovas rushed her as she had her head turned to me and he grabbed her by the neck and lifted her up.

"And now, I claim my first kill of this war." Kovas said as he raised up his other hand and readied his claws to strike.

"You get your hands off of her, right now!!! Zenith Wyvern: Blue Chariot!!!" I shouted as I engulfed my body in a layer of blue flames. I charged Kovas as he tried to impale Tetsa with his claws. But, I rammed him before he could, making him let go of her as I pushed us both out of the hole in the side of the castle. We began to fall to the ground below but Kovas spread his wings out to stop us. We began to punch each other, landing blow after blow until we separated for a moment.

"Those flames of yours..... they do not feel like any ordinary fire I've experienced before." Kovas said as I shot flames out of the soles of my feet to stay in flight. 

"That's because these are the flames of the supreme wyvern, the apex creature in my world. There's nothing that they can't incinerate." I said to him as he grew a twisted smile. 

"We shall se-" Kovas began to say as Tetsa came flying in with her dark katana in hand. She had created wings on her back and she flew in to impale Kovas through the back.

"HOW DOES THAT FEEL, KOVAS!? I HOPE IT HURTS!!" Tetsa roared as Kovas spun around and knocked her away from him with his left arm. He then grabbed the blade of the sword sticking out from the front of him and pulled the sword through the rest of his body. He then crushed it to pieces with a single hand. 

"How did that feel, you ask me? To be honest, I didn't feel a thing but a light tickle. If you two are done, i'd like you to get serious now." Kovas said as Tetsa flew over to me. 

"What's the plan?" She asked. 

"He's way too resilient to the attacks we've been using so far. We're gonna have to increase everything if we want to start inflicting damage to him." I said as we both looked at each other and gave some nods. 

"Then let's do this!! Second Origin Release!!!" Me and Tetsa shouted as we unleashed the full force of our magic power. 

"Ancient Godly Vigor!!" Tetsa howled as her dark armor appeared over her body. 

"Wyvern's Soul!!" I yelled as my silver scaled armor appeared over my body. 

"I sense that both of you have grown exponentially stronger after changing into these forms. Show me the extent of your power." Kovas said to us as I made the first move. 

"Zenith Wyvern Corona Edge!!" I roared as I flew to him within the blink of an eye. I ignited my entire right arm in silver flames and I rammed it right into his chest. I torched Kovas' body as he knocked me back with his arms. But, looking closer, I left his upper chest smoking.

"Impressive. I actually felt your attack that time." He said as he blew away the smoke. 

"Together, there's nothing that the two of us can't pull off. No matter how fast, how strong, or how smart the enemy, you can't bring us down." I said to him as Tetsa went in for her attack.

"Shadow God: Twins of Despair!!" Tetsa screamed as she created two smaller swords in each of her hands. She flew right up to Kovas and began slashing away at him. Kovas guarded by crossing his arms in front of him but Tetsa was able to take advantage of that. 

"I'll end this here!!" She yelled as she stabbed Kovas in his right arm with one of her blades. Then, while still holding onto that blade, Tetsa flipped over Kovas and stabbed him through the top of his head with her second. She then flew down behind him and pulled hard on her blades, ripping off both Kovas' arm and head in the process.

"And just like that, you're dead." Tetsa said but it was far from it to be exact. Kovas' body suddenly turned and grabbed onto her head with the arm that was still attached to it. It squeezed her head tightly until she let go of her swords. His body then let go of Tetsa and grabbed her two swords. It pulled off his head and arm and reattached them to himself. 

"There, that's better." Kovas said as he cracked his arm and neck a bit. 

"What the hell are you?" I asked him out of pure shock as neither of us had ever seen a creature with this level of regenerative powers. 

"The one who's going to kill you two." Kovas said as he turned and flew for me. He rammed his head right into my chest and took the wind right out of me instantly. He then grabbed both of my arms with his own and began to pull them apart. 

"Get off of him!!" Tetsa shouted as she started to rush him. But, Kovas responded by slightly turning his body and raising up his right leg. He thrusted it forward and caught Tetsa in its grasp, holding her by her face. 

"You stay right there while I deal with this wyvern boy. I'll deal with you shortly after, false god." Kovas said as he turned back to me and ignited his claws in black flames. The flames began to burn through my armor and the pain was unbearable. I screamed at the top of my lungs. I had to get out of here and fast before he melts through my arms. 

"Wyvern Ignition: 30%!" I shouted as my wyvern tail suddenly sprouted from my lower back. I ignited my teeth in my silver flames and then brought my tail forward. I grinded my tail through my mouth until I heated it up with my flames. When it was ready, I whipped my tail forward.

"Silver Flare Lash!!" I bellowed at I smashed my tail into Kovas. It exploded on contact and it blew him away, making him let go of me and Tetsa. My wyvern tail then returned back into my body as me and Tetsa regrouped. 

"Thanks for the save." She said to me.

"Interesting. Despite possessing a truly powerful element of magic, you've evolved it in a way where you can find a way to attack where it doesn't require magic power. And yet, despite no magic, it's even more powerful than some that do contain magic. Remarkable." Kovas said to me. 

"Thanks, I guess." I said to him as he started to grow blades along his arms.

"Even so, it's nowhere near enough to slay me. And now, it is my turn to retaliate against you." Kovas said as he flew for me and Tetsa at a blinding speed. He came right up to us both and grabbed onto our faces, taking us with him as he flew back over to the flying castle. He smashed us through another wall and then proceeded to throw Tetsa away and into a stone pillar. He kept on holding me though as he prepared the blades on his other arm. 

"Let's see what makes you tick inside, shall we?" Kovas said as he began slicing away at my armor. He was tearing it off piece by piece and very soon he'd reach my skin. I tried my hardest to pry myself out of his grip but it was like I was stuck to his hand. 

"Maybe I should see what makes you tick inside, huh!? God Slayer Secret Arts: Catastrophes Light!!" Tetsa roared as her dark claws appeared on her hands. She sprinted for Kovas and leaped at him, waving her claws around until she made contact. She struck his chest and tore a hole through him. And, when she had an opening, she cut off his arm that was holding me so I could free myself. 

"Now Damos!!! Torch him!!!" Tetsa shouted to me as I was already on it. 

"Wyvern Slayer Secret Arts: Wrath Maul Fiery Dance!!!" I roared as I unleashed a huge stream of black and silver flames point black at Kovas. I engulfed him and we heard him wail in pain from the fire. I kept it up for as long as I could until his screaming finally stopped. I then ceased my assault and the two of us stood there, waiting for the smoke to clear to see if he was finally defeated. 

"Such furious heat and raw power. I see now why your kind is said to be the strongest in your world." We heard Kovas said as the smoke cleared. Half of his body was gone, burned away. But, to no one's surprise he quickly regenerated it all back, looking totally fine once again. 

"But, between the two of you, in your current state, I feel as though that may have been the extant of your power thus far. Please, show me more." Kovas said to us as me and Tetsa stepped closer to one another, now side by side. 

"We've got one last trick up our sleeve. A combination of our might, all packed into one unstoppable attack." Tetsa said as we brought our hands together, my left and her right, and then pushed them back behind us. Between the two hands, we began to pool a large portion of our magic energy into them, creating a huge ball of our combined magic around our hands. 

"The flames of the great silver wyvern..." I said, beginning our chant. 

"And the darkness of the almighty shadow god...." Tetsa said as we pooled more and more magic into this attack. 

"Let them combine and merge into the ultimate power which has no equal! Unison Raid!!" We both shouted at the same time as we thrusted our hands forward.

"Wyvern God Slayer's Black Nova Flash!!!!" We both roared as we unleashed a colossal beam of black and silver energy.

"As source of thy power, I order thee! Decipher the laws of destruction and create an attack to match that of my target!! Black Mirror!!!" Kovas shouted as he created an enormous mirror in front of him. Our attack appeared in it and the mirror then launched a pure black version of our attack back at us. Our two monstrous attacks collided and a beam struggle ensued, shaking up the entire castle and tearing apart the floor and walls with the shock waves we were making.

"As the two strongest in our guild..... After losing our family for over 7 years...... We vowed to grow strong..... so that we may never lose anyone ever again!!!!" Me and Tetsa screamed as we amped up our power, making our beam even larger and beginning to push back Kovas'. 

"No.... It's..... their power..... it's unstoppable!!!" Kovas shouted as we burst through his attack and engulfed him in ours. He wailed in pain as we blew apart his body, smashing it through a wall behind him and then crushing him underneath the rubble. The two of us then stopped our attack and fell to our knees. We'd just used a massive amount of our magic energy, and despite this world being rich with magic, it still came at a cost for us. 

"Did we.... get him....?" Tetsa asked as she panted heavily. 

"I think..... so....." I replied as the pile of rubble Kovas was buried under began to move. And then, bursting out of it was a floating black heart. It hovered over to us, stopping about 20 feet away. It was still beating and within the matter of seconds, it began to regenerate its body. Kovas still wasn't dead. 

"It appears the two of you were not lying to me. Fighting together, both of you become unstoppable. At least, in the face of something that can die." Kovas said as he created those blades on his arms again.

"Still..... it's still not enough....." I said in utter disbelief as me and Tetsa stood back up.

"Have you shown me the extent of your abilities? Or is there more to the two of you? If so, go on and show me, otherwise i'm finished here. You've entertained me enough and i'll end your lives as a reward." Kovas said to us as both of our bodies began to resonate with intense magical auras. 

"Yeah..... we've got more....." Tetsa said as both of our body started to change forms. Tetsa morphing into her goddess form, and myself turning to my true wyverian state. 

"Battle Goddess: Black Sekhet!!" Tetsa roared as she completed her transformation. 

"Wyvern Ignition: 100%! Silver King!!!" I shouted as I finished mine as well, roaring to Kovas and displaying my power to him. 

"More transformations, I see. And the magic power I sense..... it's staggering. Near unmatched raw power at your fingertips. A wyvern and a goddess. I've faced both before, but never ones like you two. This is making me feel all warm inside!! It's so much fun to fight and kill one another, right!?" Kovas said all cheerfully as he charged us.

"Shadow God Roar!!!!" Tetsa screeched as she unleashed her powerful breath attack. It crashed into Kovas and instantly started pushing him back against the ground.

"The might of this attack..... it's incredible!!! But still..... it's not enough!!!" Kovas shouted as he swung one of his arm blades and literally slived through Tetsa's attack. 

"No way...." Tetsa said as I went in next.

"Zenith Wyvern: Halberion Blade!!!" I yelled as my spiky tail became engulfed in silver flames. I swung it at Kovas when I got close and he proceeded to dodge it by jumping up into the air. But, that's what I hoped he did. Because while I spun around to hit him with my tail, i'd activated another spell. 

"Zenith Wyvern: Prominence Fang!!" I shouted as I brought my wyvern head back around and chomped down on Kovas' body. This spell ignites my teeth and tears my opponent up, and hopefully, Kovas was no different. 

"An attack to take my attention away so you could hide your true intentions!! Masterful strategy, boy, but you must realize it is pointless!!" Kovas shouted as I quickly saw that my teeth weren't piercing his skin.

"It's not possible!!! These teeth and flames can shred through the toughest metals!!" I thought as Kovas swiped one of his arms blades and slashed a part of my head. He didn't hit anything major but he did chop through some of my hardened scales. And it hurt like nothing i'd felt before. I roared in pain as I had to let Kovas go. 

"My turn again!! Black Void Fist!!" Tetsa shouted as she came flying in with her right arm covered in a pitch black circle. She thrusted her attack right into Kovas and her fist went right through his chest. 

"How'd that feel, demon!?" Tetsa said with pride but Kovas responded by laughing at her. 

"You two don't seem to be quick learners. This fight is not a matter of how much damage you can inflict on me. More so, it is about how much I can inflict on both of you before you give in. I am not able to be killed. So long as my heart beats, I am immortal." Kovas explained as the hole in his chest filled back in, trapping Tetsa's arm inside of him. 

"I'll take your arm as a trophy for when we are finished here." Kovas said as he raised up his left arm blade, preparing to slice through it.

"NOOOOOOOO!!!" I roared as I flew in and bit down hard on Kovas' head. I tore it off with one mighty pull and then smacked his arm away with my tail. I spit out his head and tossed it aside as I bit down on the upper half of his body. I tore it off as well at the point where it made the hole bigger in his chest for Tetsa to escape it. 

"Let go of me, boy!" Kovas shouted as the upper body in my mouth pried my jaws open and fell out. Kovas' body parts all flew back together and reformed himself shortly after, taking us back to square one once again. 

"I will admit, compared to your combined assault before, while it may seem you two are weaker, the sheer force within your attacks far outclass all before them. These forms of your are quite powerful, indeed. But, as i'm sure you've realized, it will never matter in the end. You and the rest of your friends cannot defeat me. Now.... I believe I've seen everything I wanted to see. I've become rather bored of you two, so i'll end this. Starting with the boy." Kovas said as he pointed at me. Then, before I had any chance to react, three giant black spikes shot up from the floor and impaled both of my wings and my chest, going all the way through them.

"NO! DAMOS!!!" Tetsa screamed in fear as I could feel the blowing flowing out of my body. I roared in absolute agony and pain but as hard as I tried to escape, I just could not. 

"A slow and painful death, that is what I award you, boy. And, as for the girl...." Kovas said as he looked to Tetsa next. 

"GET AWAY FROM HER!!! TETSA, RUN AWAY, NOW!!!" I shouted to her but she looked too afraid to run. 

"No..... I still have one thing left.... and.... it'll beat you.... IT'LL BEAT YOU!!!" Tetsa said in a rage as she began to form her enormous pitch black sword in her hands. 

"One last futile attack. Very well, hit me with your best shot." Kovas said to her as he held his arms out. He was actually willing to take the hit this time. 

"God Slayer's Ultimate Technique: BLACK EXCALIBUR!!!!!" Tetsa roared as she swung her mighty black blade down, unleashing a giant wave of dimensional energy that cut right through Kovas and everything behind him. Kovas split in two and his halves fell to the ground, seemingly lifeless now as Tetsa dropped to her knees. Her sword and goddess form disappeared as she nearly collapsed from pure exhaustion. 

"Try.... surviving..... that...." Tetsa said as Kovas' two halves started to reconnect each other. 

"I did...." He said as he repaired his body. He then laughed maniacally at us both, as the fear of him now killing us had set in. 

"There's just nothing we can do..... it's over for us..... for everyone....." I thought as Kovas began to walk over to Tetsa. She stood up before he got to her and I saw her body was shaking. She was afraid. But, her fists were also clenched tightly at her sides. 

"There is..... one more thing...... I can do....." Tetsa said which confused both me and Kovas. 

"Yet another ability? I sense very little magic power remaining in you body, so I do not believe it will be as strong as the assaults before. But by all means, go right ahead, girl." Kovas said as he stopped walking to watch her. 

"Tetsa..... what are you doing....?" I asked as her body began to resonate with a cold, pitch black aura. 

"Damos..... i'm sorry.... but i'm going to use it! The Third Origin!!" Tetsa shouted as I couldn't believe what I'd just heard. 

"NO, YOU CAN'T!!! IF YOU GO THROUGH WITH IT, THEN YOU'LL NEVER BE ABLE TO USE MAGIC EVER AGAIN!!! PLEASE, THINK ABOUT WHAT YOU'RE DOING!!!" I pleaded to her but I could still feel her energy increasing to even more drastic levels than her goddess form. 

"There's no need to think about it. If I don't, then this world, our world, and all the rest will die. This is our only option. At the cost of everything I've ever done..... Everything I've worked so hard to achieve.... Everything i'll ever do.... I will use this awesome power to finally slay this demon before me!!! THIRD ORIGIN...... RELEASE!!!!!" Tetsa shouted as she began to scream at the top of her lungs. Her aura expanded all around us, filling the room in shadows and a sinister cold feeling. 

"I sense..... Something new.... something that shouldn't exist..... A power without existence....." Kovas said as Tetsa took a deep breath in. Her eyes had turned a deep purple and her hair rose up, waving in the wind. 

"Shadow God: Pitch Black Sun Eater!!!" Tetsa howled as her entire right arm and hand turned a pure black colour. She then swiped her hand at the air and literally tore the very space in front of her apart. The walls, the pillars, and the parts of Kovas that were in the way were all scraped away until there was nothing left.

"What...... happened.....?" Kovas said as now only a portion of his upper body and left arm remained. 

"I destroyed space itself. Reducing what was in front of me to nothing but atoms. And now, for the rest of you." Tetsa said as she prepared to use the same attack again. 

"I don't think so!! Endless Black Void!!" Kovas shouted as a black hole appeared below Tetsa's feet. She began to sink into it as dozens of black arms came out and latched onto her. 

"You believe this will stop me!? Well, you thought wrong!!" Tetsa shouted as she did her best to swipe her arm again. She was able to and she scraped away all the arms and the black hole she was in. Her feet remained in tact despite being in the hole and she then swiped her arm again to finish off Kovas. But, he was just narrowly able to avoid the attack by flying above it. 

"Now, endure the same pain as your companion!!" Kovas shouted as three huge spikes came shooting out of the floor. They came from behind so Tetsa had zero time to react. One impaled her left leg, the second her right arm, and the third went through her lower right chest. 

"TETSA!!!!!" I screamed in fear as she coughed up lots of blood. 

"Don't think..... that this will stop me!!!!" She roared as she swiped her arm behind her and broke off the spikes, freeing herself. However, it still left three large holes within her body which she was bleeding out of a lot.

"I've had enough of this!!! With the mighty power of the third origin coursing through my veins, I will now use all the power I have left to end you!!! This unstoppable magic power is said to be able to easily slay the strongest creatures within our world, and that includes the immortals. Which means, so amount of regeneration will save you now!!!" Tetsa shouted as she began to wave her hands in a circular motion. 

"What are you planning now?" Kovas questioned as he reformed his body. 

"FINISH HIM, TETSA!!!!" I roared to her as she brought her hands together. 

"GOD SLAYER'S FINAL ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE: ECLIPSE OF DARKNESS!!!!!" Tetsa screamed as suddenly, a huge pillar of black and purple light came crashing through the roof of the room. It engulfed Kovas inside it and we could hear him wailing in agony. Tetsa was tearing him apart, seemingly disintegrating him as we could see Kovas' body turning to dust.

"WITHIN THIS ETERNAL DARK LIGHT, BE SENT INTO THE BLACK ABYSS FOR ALL ETERNITY!!!!" Tetsa screamed as the last of Kovas disappeared in front of us with only his heart remaining on the floor. And, it wasn't beating anymore. Tetsa completed her attack as she fell to her knees. Her magic aura vanished..... for good this time. 

"She..... did it....." I said as the spikes impaling me returned back into the floor. I fell and landed hard on my face, reverting back to my human form so I could crawl over to where Tetsa was. 

"You..... won..... Tetsa....." I said as I made it to her. She looked over to me and leaned in to hug me. She cried into my shoulder. Yes, we may have won this battle, but it came at a heavy, heavy cost. Thanks to the power of the third origin, Tetsa could no longer use any magic. 

"No..... we won....." Tetsa said as a thumping sound suddenly started to echo around the room. 

"What's..... that.....?" I questioned as we both looked forward to Kovas' heart. It was beating again. And, it floated up into the air and began to regenerate his body. 

"No....." We both said with pure fear in our voices as Kovas returned. 

"YOU WRETCHED GIRL!!! I'VE NEVER EXPERIENCED SUCH PAIN IN MY ENTIRE LIFE!!! THE FEELING THAT BURNED WITHIN ME, MY BODY PARTS TWISTED AND CONTORTED!!! IT HURT SO MUCH!!!! I'LL MURDER YOU!!!" Kovas roared as he marched over to us and picked up Tetsa by her neck. 

"No.... please..... let her.... go....." I begged him as he walked over to the hole to the outside. 

"If I understood correctly, that power you used drains you of all your magic forever, yes? If that is the case, then that means you are finished!!!" Kovas said as he held Tetsa over the edge of the flying castle. 

"Stop it!! Please, just let her go!!!!" I shouted but Kovas was ignoring my cries. 

"I cast you into the place where you so rightfully belong!!! Enjoy your trip to hell, girl!!!!" Kovas shouted as he let go of Tetsa. 

"DAMOS!!!!!" Tetsa screamed as she fell all the way down to the ground. 

"TETSA!!!!!" I howled but there was nothing I could do about it. My body just wouldn't move for me anymore and I had to lay there as I watched my sister, my closest friend, and my closest guild member die.

"Now then...." Kovas said as he turned to face me. 

"What to do with you? It appears you are finished as well. I think i'll enjoy your death more. Hers was too quick, so I choose to watch you die before me. And, sensing your vitals, it will happen any moment." Kovas said as I could feel my own heart beat. It was getting weaker and weaker by the second as it slowed down. And after just about a minute passed by..... my heart stopped and I blacked out.

I suddenly awoke and saw I was now in a blank white room. I stood up and looked around but I could see nothing for miles. 

"What is this place?" I questioned as I looked down to see the impalement wounds were now gone. 

"We're inside your mind, Damos." A familiar voice said to me as a figure appeared in front of me. It was a red scaled wyvern i'm all too familiar with. My father, Ignitus. 

"Father, it's you!" I said with joy as he shook his head. 

"While I may look like your father, I am not. I am the image that your mind has taken to speak with you." Ignitus said to me. 

"I understand. Then, what is it that you wish to speak to me about?" I asked it. 

"Do you know what has just happened to you?" Ignitus asked me. 

"I..... I died...." I said to him as he nodded his head. 

"Correct. However, this does not spell the end of you. You must ensure the legacy of the wyvern slayer is passed on. And, to do so, you must unlock the greatest power the slayer possesses. Only through death can it be activated, and it grants unmatched power that not even the likes of Acnologia can hope to match." Ignitus explained to me. 

"Then..... how do I activate this power!?" I asked him. 

"A wyvern's true power comes in three phases. First, it is unlocking the power of ones soul. You were able to do so by acquiring your silver armor. The next is enhancement of your own body, which you did by unlocking your true wyverian form. And now, you must unlock the powers within your heart." Ignitus explained. 

"But how exactly do I do that!? I'm dead, my body isn't going to function anymore." I said to him as he let out a sigh. 

"While your heart may have stopped beating, the flame within still burns. Instead of using and controlling your flame, let it take over and control you. Become one with it." Ignitus said to me as I started to feel an intense burning feeling coming from my heart. I started to breath very heavily, as it felt like someone was squeezing it. 

"What's happening!?" I asked my father. 

"It's begun. Your body is accepting the flame within and soon, it will take over. You have until the flame dies out to pass on this power. Otherwise, our legacy will end forever with you." Ignitus said to me as his body began to turn to ashes. 

"Wait, please don't leave me again!" I begged him as he chuckled a bit. 

"My son, I have and always will be with you. As has been every generation before me, and as will be the future generations who inherit this magic. Now go. Find the one who is worthy. And good luck my son. I await your return to me soon." Ignitus said as his body disappeared into ashes as I suddenly woke up. I glanced around and saw I was back in the demon's castle, still laying on the floor. Kovas was standing in front of me, laughing at what he believed was my dead body. 

"Allow my flame to take control..... unlock my own heart....." I said as I began to smooth out my breathing, allowing the burning feeling inside me to turn from intense to gentle and warm. Where my heart was, it began to glow with a shining gold aura and it was spreading throughout my entire body.

"Pass on the power..... to that who is worthy...." I said as my skin began to produce a large amount of hot steam. 

"Keep the legacy alive......" I said as that glowing aura burst into flames all over my body. Golden flames engulfed me, but they did not hurt me. It was a comfortable feeling, one that felt familiar to me for some reason. My father and the generations before him were with me. 

"What is the meaning of this? Is this normal for your kind? To spontaneously combust?" Kovas questioned as he came over to me. I began to move my arms as I pressed them underneath and pushed myself up to my knees. 

"How can you still be alive? All of your vital signs have ceased. You should be dead." Kovas said to me as he stopped in front of me. I looked at my hands and felt the flames on them. They were so warm, like nothing i'd felt before. This is the flame that sparks our generation. I made my right hand into a fist and I then thrusted it right into Kovas' chest, burning through his body with ease as I sent him flying into a wall behind him. 

"AAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!" He screamed as I rose up to my feet. 

"And who says i'm still alive? You're talking to the flame of the supreme wyvern, the most powerful force ever to exist and ever will." I said to him as he tried to regenerate the hold in his body. But, it wasn't working. I'd burned it so bad that he couldn't seal it up anymore. 

"What have you done to me!?" Kovas shouted as I started to step over to where he was.

"Nothing really. I simply punched you. My flames have just become so hot that it burned away your regenerative cells. Meaning you can't fix yourself from anything I do to you." I told him as his body ignited into black flames. 

"That flame is indeed impressive, but in the face of the mighty demonic flame, it pails in comparison!!! And i'll show you just how meaningless yours is right now!!!" Kovas roared as he charged me. But, as he got within 10 feet of me, he suddenly stopped as he began to scream in pain. My flames were actually burning away his flames.

"I think you'll find it's the other way around, Kovas. My fire within me is the hottest, most powerful flame in all of existence. It has no equal." I said to him as I walked closer, extinguishing his flames with my presence as his skin began to burn up now.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME, MONSTER!!!" Kovas shouted with fear and pain in his voice. But, I kept on moving closer until I was right on him. 

"No..... I think i'll get as close as I want to you. And there's nothing you can do about it now." I said as I reached down and grabbed him by his neck with my right hand. I then raised up my left and reeled it back, preparing to strike. 

"I came to this world as part of an army looking to save it from the demons who try to rule it. With my partner, guild member, and loving sister, Tetsa, we fought many a battle until this day. On this day, you took her life. And so now, I will take yours!!" I shouted as I thrusted my left arm through his chest and pulled out his heart. I then dropped Kovas' body as he looked up to me holding what was keeping him alive. 

"Wait..... don't kill..... me...." Kovas begged me as I glared down to him. 

"That's kinda funny. I said the exact same thing when I begged you not to kill Tetsa. But, we both know how that concluded. And you'll get the same from me." I said to him as my flames began to grow even larger and hotter around my body, like I was becoming the sun itself. 

"Even with this power..... you won't be a match for our king...." Kovas said to me. 

"I won't be the one who faces him. That will be the duty of another. The one who will take on this power of mine!!!" I said as I released my magic. 

"WYVERN SLAYER'S ULTIMATE TECHNIQUE!!!! TRUE WYVERN HEART!!!!" I roared at the top of my lungs as everything around us became engulfed in a massive golden flame. 

-POV: Tetsa-

After Kovas dropped me out of the castle, I fell thousands of feet down to the ground. But, luckily for me, Rishia managed to see me falling and flew up to catch me. She brought me back down to the ground and laid me down next to the queen and princess. 

"Tetsa, what happened up there!? Where's Damos!?" She asked me as I began to cry. 

"Kovas..... the demon..... it killed him....." I told her as she burst into tears as well. 

"No..... no, no, no, that can't be right! Neither of you two can be beaten!! You're lying!!" Rishia said but I just shook my head. 

"It's..... It's true..... Not even... my third origin beat Kovas.... and now..... I can't use my magic ever again!!" I cried as we suddenly heard a loud explosion come from the castle above. 

"What was that?" Rishia questioned as we all looked up. We watched as these huge bursts of golden flames began to shoot out of the castle, emerging from every hold and window. And, within the matter of a second, the entirety of the giant flying castle completely exploded into pieces. 

"YYYEEEEEEEAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!!!!" We could hear our forces cheer as something, comehow had just brought down the home of these demons. A huge gold smoke cloud filled the air but we noticed something fly out of it and head this way. It looked like a golden flaming fireball and it was coming right to where we were. 

"Everybody, run before it hits us!!" Rishia shouted but it was moving way too fast to evade. But, before it could strike us, it quickly redirected its flight and slowed its descent, landing in front of us. And, the sight made me cry even more. Damos.... he was alive. He was covered in this brilliant layer of golden flames, but he was alive again. 

"Miss me, sis?" He asked me as I got up and ran over to hug him. But, I stopped just in front of him as I was afraid his flames may hurt me. 

"Don't worry. I can decide what these flames burn and what they don't. You can touch me." He told me as I went on to complete the hug. 

"I thought you were dead." I cried into his right shoulder as he then let out a sigh. 

"Yeah..... that's.... that's the thing. As much as you don't want to hear this..... I am." Damos said to me as my face turned to shock. 

"What!? What're you saying!? You're here right in front of me, standing up and everything! How can you be dead!?" I asked him out of sadness as he lowered his head. 

"After Kovas threw you from the castle, my body passed away. What you're speaking to is the supreme wyvern's flame. It's what destroyed the demon once and for all, permanently. And, it's all that's left of the Damos you knew, but it will only last so long." He said to me as I dropped to my knees and cried into my hands. 

"How.... How long do you have?" I asked him as he looked down to his feet. His flames were beginning to die out. 

"I have until my flames burns out. But, before that happens..... Tetsa, please, take my hands." He said to me as I stood back up. We both reached out our hands and grabbed one another. His hands engulfed mine in flames just like his and I felt this warm feeling start to burn within me. 

"As the current wielder of the one and only supreme wyvern flame and the wyvern slayer style, I, Damos Sundane, willingly choose to pass this great power onto my sister, Tetsa Mourdeel...." Damos began to speak as I was stunned by what I was hearing. 

"Wait..... you're giving me your magic?" I asked him out of sheer surprise as he continued. 

"The legacy of over a thousand generations burns within this mighty flame. It will become your duty to pass it on to who you feel is right to behold it. But, only when you feel you are ready to pass. Let the fire buried deep beneath your soul, your mind, and your heart ignite and roar with righteous fury!!" Damos spoke as more of his body began to stop burning. Only the top portion of his chest, head and arms remained. 

"Please..... don't go...." I said to him as I couldn't help but cry even more. 

"Tetsa..... I have and always will be with you. As will every past generation of wyvern slayer and every future generation as well. We have become one." Damos said as he let go of my hands, leaving the flames on them to burn until my skin absorbed them into my body. 

"It is now your duty to keep our legacy alive, Tetsa. I know you'll surpass me. I know you'll do great things. I love you.... Sister...." Damos said as the final few flames of his body burned out. The ashes of him then blew away in the wind as I just stood there, frozen as I didn't know what to do now.

"He's.... gone...." I said as Rishia came up to me and hugged me. 

"He..... he is..... but he won't be forgotten. We'll never forget what he's done for us." Rishia said as I hugged her back. 

"Why..... why couldn't it..... have been me?" I cried into her as she cried too. 

"He.... he saved us all..... with what he did...... And now.... his power..... is yours..... don't disappoint him, Tetsa. Live up.... to what your brother.... believes you can do!!!" Rishia said as she backed away from me and walked over to where the queen and princess were. I just stayed standing there and looked down at my hands. 

"A thousand generation..... live within me now." I said as my hands suddenly burst into golden flames. 

"This is.....!? It's his flame!! Damos' flame!! I can feel his presence.... it's like.... it's like he is the flame itself...." I said to myself. 

"Like I said. I'll be with you, always. Do me proud, Sis." I heard Damos' voice say as I clenched my fists tightly.  With the gift my brother has given me, I could now wield magic again. And what that is far more powerful than what I could wield before. 

This war has taken a toll on everyone who has fought in it. Over half of our forces have become heavily damaged and injured, but now, our first casualty occurred. Damos used everything he had to destroy the imposing demon known as Kovas and now, in his final breaths, he chose to pass his power, his legacy onto me. I will live up to his reputation and all the generations before him!!!
