A World of Heroes

And we're off in this soon to be amazing arc! Or, I guess I should say arcs. So, here's how things will go down. This insanely long arc I spoke about before will consist of 3 mini arc within it, each based off an already existing arc in another anime. And, as you've probably guessed, the first mini arc is based off My Hero Academia! I've also decided that each of the characters we've come to know in MHA will now be in their third year at U.A. And, the arc chosen from it will be the all too well known sports festival! Lots of action to look forward to soon, as well as my very first OC I ever made, who you've all just met, which is Cry. He's sure to bring lots to the table, and in style. Now, let's get back into the story, shall we? Enjoy!

"My name is Tenshonoma Cryshiki. Just call me "Cry." I'm a third year hero in training at U.A high school. Code name: Arsenal. Please, stand down while I deal with these criminals." Cry said to us as he floated down to the ground on his platform made of wind.

"Just who the heck is this guy? We had the situation under control, and here's this guy, swooping in out of nowhere." I thought to myself as Cry made the wall of glass between us and the thugs disappear with a snap of his fingers.

"I will give you all one chance. Surrender now or I will be forced to get rough." Cry said to them as he clenched his diamond fist near his face.

"We've got a real frankenstein's monster here, don't we, boys? Now, listen pal, just because you're a third year at U.A, that doesn't make you special. So, if you don't want a death wish, then I suggest you and these dorky looking cosplayers step aside." The thug with the cannon arm said as he took aim at Cry.

"Listen, Cry, or whatever your name is, we can help you take down these idiots. We've handled plenty like their type before." Itsuki said to him as he glanced back to us all.

"I appreciate the offer to help but I don't need your help. Now then, I assume by that last remark that you're not surrendering?" Cry asked as he looked back over to the thugs.

"No, you dumbass! We're gonna stomp all over you until you're a bloody puddle on the ground!" The 40ft thug said as Cry let out a smile.

"Glad to hear we can do things my way, then." He said as the thug with the cannon arm fired one of his cannon balls. It flew so fast, aimed right at Cry's face. But, within the blink of an eye, Cry reached up with his diamond right arm and caught the cannon ball, stopping all of its momentum in an instant.

"A cannon ball like this normally hits with a force of just over 50,000 PSI. To break diamond that's the size of my arm, you'd need at least 14.5 times that power to just crack it. Honestly, it felt like you just threw a baseball to me. So, i'll return the favor. Catch!" Cry said as he reeled back his right arm. His body's veins and his entire right arm began to glow purple and we could see his muscles were slightly increasing in size.

"Strength Boost x5! Muscle Mass increase by 20%!" Cry yelled as he threw the cannon ball back at the same thug. If you had blinked, you would've missed it all. He threw the ball so fast that it looked like it teleported, smashing into the thugs face, easily knocking multiple teeth out, breaking his nose, among other things, and sending him flying backwards through the air.

"Holy shit!" The other two thugs said at the same time as they were stunned to see their comrade be beaten so easily.

"So..... which one of you is next?" Cry said, taunting the criminals.

"You little shit! I'm gonna murder you for hurting my friend!" The thug with 4 arms yelled as he charged Cry.

"Is that a fact? Then let's see if you can do any better than your pal." Cry said to him as his veins glowed purple again. He then snapped his fingers but nothing happened. Cry simply stood there as the thug ran right over to him.

"I'm gonna snap that neck of yours! Die!" The thug shouted as he leaped for Cry, all four of his arms reaching out to him. But, as the thug took his final step off the ground, he kept going higher..... and higher..... and higher into the air.

"What the!? What's going on!? Why am I floating so high into the air!?" The thug questioned as Cry chuckled a bit.

"Simple. I used my quirk to generate a zero gravity field around your body. And, until I snap my fingers again, you're just gonna keep going up, and up, and up." Cry explained.

"You bastard! Let me down from here, this instant!" The thug demanded as Cry let out another smile.

"If you say so." Cry said as he snapped his fingers. The thug began to fall back down to the ground, and he was easily 40 up in the air, right above Cry. And, as he fell, Cry clenched his right fist and took a stance, readying himself to attack.

"Ha! You dumbass! You've left yourself wide open to an attack from above!" The thug shouted as he neared Cry.

"I'm the dumbass? Try looking again, pal! With your quirk, you have no way to defend yourself in the air! Now, take this!" Cry roared as he drove his fist upward, delivering a strong uppercut to the thugs jaw, making him fall unconscious as he landed face first on the ground.

"Two down.... One to go. And, looking at what this one can do, this should be a cake walk." Cry said as he faced the final criminal. The one that was 40 feet tall.

"You may have taken out my buddies, but you're not beating me, tiny. I'm gonna enjoy crushing you under my boot like a bug!" The thug roared as he tried to kick Cry with his massive foot. But, Cry jumped to his right, just narrowly dodging the attack.

"Look, you big oaf. Real men should fight using their fists. So, let's do this properly. Bring it!" Cry said as he raised his fists up, preparing to fight this giant monster of a man.

"Kid, I don't if you're blind or just stupid! My fists are literally 10, maybe even 20 times the size of yours! What makes you think you can beat me in a fist fight!?" The thug asked him as Cry chuckled a bit again.

"Oh, you'll see! Now, hit me with everything you've got!" Cry shouted as the thug started roaring at the top of his lungs, driving his right fist down at him.

"Like I said, you're a big oaf. Who ever said i'd fight you with my own fists?" I heard Cry said as his veins started glowing again.

"Now, appear before me, warp portals!" Cry shouted as he expanded both of his hands, creating two identical portals in front of him, both 6 feet in diameter. The thugs punch went right into one and then came out the other, causing him to punch himself in the face. In fact, his punch was so hard that he caused himself to fall over, decreasing in size at the same time. The thug KO'd himself.

Cry then gathered the three thugs and laid them on top of each other. He used his powers again to open a single portal this time right underneath where the thugs laid. They fell inside and Cry closed up the portal.

"There. Can't do any harm in there. Now then...." Cry said as he turned and faced all of us.

"Start talking. Or what you just saw will happen to all of you." Cry threatened as me, Itsuki, and Alex stepped forward slowly.

"We are warriors from another world, and we've come to find other strong warriors from this world to help us fight what is threatening to destroy our world." Alex explained as Cry just looked at us like we're stupid.

"Woah, woah, woah! Slow down a sec! You're saying you're all from an entirely different world than this one?" He asked us.

"Precisely." Itsuki replied.

"Prove it." Cry asked.

"Very well. Follow me and i'll show you where we come from." I said to him as he gave me a nod.

"The other 6 of you, stay right here. The girl with the wing quirk is the only one who comes." Cry said as everyone seemed to oblige. I then took Cry to the alleyway where the portal was, stopping right in front of it.

"You may not be able to see it, but the portal to our world is right in front of you. Go on, see for yourself." I said as he reached his diamond arm out. When it reached the portal, his hand disappeared. He was a little frightened at first and immediately pulled his hand out of it. He looked at me with shock.

"What in the actual hell?" He questioned as I gestured for him to go inside.

"Go take a look. At our world." I said to him as he took a big gulp and stepped inside the portal. He was in it for about a minute before coming back into his own world.

"So..... you're saying that's your world on the other side of this thing?" He asked me.

"Yes. And there's a rising threat that we must soon stop. We need to find warriors from other worlds to help us. And, after seeing what you're capable of, will you help us?" I asked him as he went deep into thought.

"I can't say for certain that I can. I may still be a student at my high school, but i'm real busy with my hero work study. And I can't just abandon my role as a hero." Cry explained to me.

"Oh. I... see..." I said, sounding a bit sad.

"But, I may know where you and your friends can find your warriors. You're all coming with me." Cry said as we walked out of the alleyway and back over to my team.

"I don't know if I can help you all or not, but, whether I can or not, I think I know how to aid in your mission. The high school I go to trains heroes, just like me, to use their quirks for good. Come to my school and speak with the principal. He may have a way to help you all." Cry suggested as we all agreed.

He then opened up a portal next to us all and we stepped through. When we came out the other side, we were on a large campus with hundreds of students walking around. Cry led us through the main building of the campus all the way to the top floor where the principal's office was. And..... well..... when we met the principal.... it wasn't quite what any of us expected. The principal was a..... well, I actually don't know. It was like he was a mix of a dog, cat, and a mouse.

Here's an image in case you were curious and don't watch MHA. Adorable, right?

"You must be the ones that Cry here told me about. Please, sit down. I don't want to seem rude or anything so make yourselves comfortable." The principal said which came as an eve bigger surprise. Despite being, you know, an animal, he could talk.

"Tea anyone?" The principal asked as us all as he poured himself a glass.

"No thank you, sir." We all responded as we sat down on some couches in front of his desk.

"Very well. So, tell me, if what Cry said was true, then tell me about this world you're from. I'm rather curious." The principal asked us.

"First of all, thank you for your hospitality, sir. We really didn't expect this kind of friendliness when we knew we were traveling to a new world. Now, as for your question, let us explain...." Alex said to him as we went on to tell him and Cry all about our world. About the five cardinal heroes. About how me and Alex are Melromarc's princess and king. And, about the threat we now face.

"So, these "demon knights," as you refer to them have traveled to our world, as well as, two others to search for soldiers so they can amass an army to destroy your own world. Am I correct?" The principal asked us.

"Yes, sir." We responded.

"And then you all came to our world to recruit warriors of your own to aid in defending your land, yes?" The principal asked.

"That's right, sir. And, to be honest, we couldn't have gotten any luckier. After all, seeing that this is a world filled with heroes, it houses the ideal fighters we're searching for." Itsuki explained.

"Principal Nezu, if I may?" Cry asked as the principal gave him a nod.

"Thank you, sir. Now, how exactly can we trust you? How do we know you're not the ones trying to destroy your world?" Cry asked us.

"One: we stood against those criminals from earlier just like you. Ans two: if we were the evil ones, then we wouldn't be having this conversation now, would we?" Krystal explained as Cry gave her a glare.

"You wish. Both me and principal Nezu here possess powerful quirks. The odds of you defeating both of us are slim to none, if you ask me." Cry expLAined as I became curious.

"We keep hearing that term be thrown around a lot here. Tell us, what're these "quirks," everyone's talking about?" I asked Nezu.

"Well, I guess since you're not from our world you wouldn't have that sort of knowledge. Then allow me to explain. A quirk is a unique power that is possessed by around 80% of our worlds population. Almost every quirk is unique, such as my own. My quirk grants me an monstrously high IQ that makes me smarter than most humans on the planet." Nezu explained.

"So, people are born with these quirks then, I presume?" Alex asked.

"No. Normally, quirks manifest in a living being around the ages of 4 or 5. And, when a person becomes old enough, they have the option to enroll here, U.A high where they can learn to harness, control, and wield their abilities to become formidable heroes. This can also be said for many other schools around the globe. It's just a small step to making our world a safer place." Nezu explained.

"So, this place makes real superheroes!? Wow! That's so cool!" Filo cheered.

"I see. So then, how many students here are training to become heroes?" Alex asked.

"The hero course is divided into three years. We have two classes for each level, and 20 students in each class, except for one of our third year classes with has 21. So, we have 121 students. However, the only ones i'd be willing to let you use for this war of yours would be our third years as they are the most experienced." Nezu explained.

"What about students who have already graduated? Aren't there any pros who'd be willing to help us?" I asked as Nezu shook our head.

"Unfortunately, our world cannot afford to expend any of our top heroes. That would put major risk in our society." Nezu explained to us.

"Fine then. So, that adds 41 to our forces. We should see what each of them can do first before taking them back." I said to Alex as Nezu interrupted us.

"Now, now, I never said that i'd allow you to just take our students into this life threatening situation of yours. And, there's no telling any of them would agree to going with you to begin with." Nezu said.

"Then what are you suggesting? We can't just go back to our world without any help. We'd have no way of winning at all." Krystal said as Cry stepped forward.

"Prove to us that you're worth fighting for. Show us that you're not just making us tag along so we'll do all the work for you. Make us believe that you're not just going to use us as tools to win your war." Cry explained.

"And how do you expect we do that?" I asked him.

"Well, all of you couldn't have appeared in this world at a better time. It just so happens that U.A is hosting its annual sports festival tomorrow." Nezu told us.

"Sports festival? Care to elaborate?" Rein asked him with obvious interest in his voice.

"It's a multi-staged tournament where all of our school's departments compete in different events, narrowing down the field until only one student is left standing. Each level of year competes in its own set of events as well." Cry explained to all of us.

"So, wait, how does this sports festival makes things better for us?" Clair asked.

"You compete of course. And, if you emerge victorious, then we'll help you." Cry said as Nezu gave him a nod.

"Indeed. Now, normally there's a total of three events for each level of year, but, seeing as you're all low on time, we'll make a change to the third year events. We'll only do the final events, the battle bracket. All 7 of you, plus the 41 third year hero students will compete, and, if any of you are the last remaining fighter, then we'll aid you. As for the other third year departments at U.A, we'll just come up with a solution to their non-participation that will suffice them." Nezu explained.

"Very well. But some of us don't exactly look like students. How will you convince everyone that it's alright for us to compete as well?" I asked him.

"U.A has an exchange student program, so we'll just twist the truth and say you're all from your own respected countries. Unfortunately, that's all we can do for you to convince the competitors and the audience." Nezu explained.

"Wait, did you just say the audience?" Itsuki asked him.

"That's correct. Our sports festival's one of the most watched sporting events of all time, even more so than the Olympics. Millions, maybe even billions of people will be watching." Cry explained.

"Great. From fighting for an entire country to fighting in from of billions. Talk about pressure." I thought to myself as Cry continued.

"Don't think that all the eyes watching you is what you should be worried about. It's the competition that you should be thinking about. In particular, U.A's big three." Cry began to explain.

"Big three? I'm assuming this "big three," are the top students at this school?" Krystal asked.

"Indeed. The big three comes with each generation of third years. Currently, our big three all reside from class 3-A. All three of these gentlemen are highly skilled in combat, and in knowledge. They're no easy opponent to defeat. Their names are Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugo, and Shoto Todoroki." Nezu explained to us.

"So, if we can beat these three, then that would significantly increase our chances of winning this tournament." Alex said as we all agreed.

"Now, hold on. There's one more third year student at U.A that you have to worry about. They reside in class 3-B and they're the top of their entire class, even higher than class 3-A and the big three." Cry explained.

"And who's this other student then?" I asked him as he pointed back at himself.

"Me. I'm on the highest level here at U.A. And not just because of my quirk. Strength, speed, intelligence, grades. I'm on top of it all. I don't want to sound like a dick here, but your chances of beating me are incredibly small." Cry explained.

"You know, all of us have experienced beings that have said very similar things to what you've just said. And, you know what? We beat them all. So, I wouldn't talk so tough, Cry, because your reign is about to come to an end." Krystal said to him as they exchanged glares again.

"Oh, also, during both my first and second year here at U.A, I managed to win the sports festival both times. I know better than anyone how to play the game here. You'd all best hope you learn fast. Otherwise, we're just gonna step on you." Cry explained.

"If you're trying to intimidate us, then it's not working. Honestly, you look like a pretty sunflower compared to some of the stuff we've had to deal with." Itsuki explained to him as Cry chuckled a bit.

"Yeah well, i'm sure with my quirk, I could've beaten all that stuff single-handedly." Cry said as I became curious.

"And what exactly is your quirk? What kind of power do you have?" I asked him as he looked to Nezu. Nezu gave him a nod and Cry took a deep breath and then a heavy sigh.

"Alright..... alright. If you're so curious, then i'll have to start from the beginning to explain. Plus, that'll tell you all how.... "all this," happened to me." Cry said, gesturing at all his disfigurements and his right arm.

"Fire away, Mr. Hot Shot." Krystal said to him.

"I was born with a unique quirk that's incredibly rare in this world. One that grants me access to multiple different powers. Now, as I grew up, I unlocked more and more powers to add to my quirk, and, when I turned 16, I enrolled here at U.A to try and become someone who can save anyone, no matter what the situation. Everything went fine for me until the time of my first year sports festival." Cry began to explain.

"What happened to you, sparkly arm guy?" Filo asked him as he gave her a quick smile.

"I made it to the championship finals, against one of the now big three, Shoto Todoroki. We both gave it our all, and in the end, both of our final attacks nearly destroyed the entire stadium. Now, as you know, I emerged victorious, having KO'd Todoroki. But, it came at a cost." Cry said as he held up his left hand, showing off his missing fingers.

"You too, huh?" I said as I raised up my hands as well, showing him that I was missing fingers as well.

"I see. Anyways, I developed yet another ability after the fight, and, after passing my first semester exams, went on to attend a training camp with the rest of the first year classes. And, on the third day of camp, we were all attacked by a group of villains. I fought one of them, and, while I managed to defeat them, he gave me this hand shaped burn mark on my face, as well as, scorch marks on my back. Myself, as well as, another of the big three, Katsuki Bakugo were abducted. We were taken to their hideout and, after some pro heroes tried to rescue us, we came face to face with this villain groups boss. Someone who can steal other peoples quirks. And, he used his power on me. I was lucky to have so many abilities, because his process was interrupted. But it left me with only three powers at that point." Cry continued to explain.

"I'm.... sorry to hear that. To have something unique to yourself taken away like that is heartbreaking. It's like they took your very identity from you." Itsuki said as Cry gave him a nod.

"Thank you. And then, after more training, I received one more ability before it all began to end for me. I, as well as, some of the other students from the hero classes entered into U.A work study program where we get to work alongside actual pros. And all of us, including U.A's current big three at the time, went into a mission to save a little girl who could rewind people from the clutches of a notorious yakuza group. One by one, we became separated, and eventually, it was my turn. I was separated from my own mother that day, reaching out for each other but still, it wasn't enough. I was left alone. I tried to find my way back to everyone, but instead, I ended up coming face to face with our target and the leader of the yakuza group." Cry explained.

"So then what happened?" Rein asked him.

"We fought, of course. The leader of the yakuza had a quirk that let him disassemble and reassemble anything that he so touches with a single finger. I managed to elude his touch just barely and, after a heavy blow, I thought I had defeated him. And then, when I retrieved the target, I let my guard down. The leader returned and struck me down. He used his quirk to destroy me, reducing me to pieces, and then reassembling my body and rendering me unconscious." Cry explained as I became even more curious now.

"Why didn't he just kill you? You were enemies, after all." I asked him.

"We had discovered that this yakuza group had been producing bullets that contained the blood cells of the little girl with the rewind quirk. If you're hit by them, then your quirk would be gone forever. And, seeing as I had multiple abilities, the leader wanted to use me as a test subject. To see if their bullets could completely erase all of my powers, in case they encountered more like me. And, he made sure that I got the message that he "owned me."" Cry said as he pointed at his right arm.

"He disassembled my entire arm, and then injected me with the quirk destroying serum in the bullets. And, it worked. All of my abilities were destroyed. I was someone who wanted to use their quirk to make sure everyone was safe in our world, and because of me, I had put everyone in jeopardy thanks to my quirk. It tore me apart. And then, the yakuza leader left me their to grovel in my pain. He went off to deal with my friends. I had no hope left. I literally doomed everyone in the entire world who had a quirk." Cry explained as he put his head down in shame.

"So, how did youget out of it all? You know, how did.... "this," come to be?" Alex asked him, pointing at his diamond right arm.

"Turns out that the virus inside of the bullets merged with my quirk abilities. They destroyed each other and then merged into something new. An entirely new quirk. The one that I have today. I have the ability to distort all of reality to my very will." Cry explained which came as a massive shock to us all.

"Wait, what!? That's insane!" We all said.

"I used my power, plus some help from the final member of the now big three, Izuku Midoriya to defeat the yakuza leader. We ended their terror, but still, the cot was heavy for me. I essentially had to restart from zero again. But, i'm a fast learner. I used my power to create this new arm of mine. But, while you may think there's no limit to what my quirk can do, there are some limitations. This quirk cannot effect any living object, and, I can't create objects directly from organic materials. Which means, this diamond arm of mine is like an engine for me if I want to make something out of my body. The only reason I have this arm on me is because I created it a distance away from my body and then subatomically attached it to me. But, it does the trick. Took a long while to master this new power, and even today, i'm still learning new tricks. But, I couldn't be any prouder of what it's allowed me to do as a hero." Cry explained to us.

"We're truly sorry for everything that's happened to you, Cry. Your story has touched all of our hearts, and we're sorry for doubting you at all. We respect you. And, we'll continue to show that respect even when we may face you on the battlefield." Alex said as he got up, walked over, and shook hands with Cry.

"So, does this mean the 7 of you will take our offer and compete in our sports festival?" Nezu asked us.

"Sir, it would be an honor to compete in your event. We all look forward to seeing what your students can do." I said to him as we all bowed.

"That's great to hear. The festival begins tomorrow morning. I suggest that all of you either get some rest or do some training to prepare yourselves. You may need it." Nezu said to us.

"Wait, where are we supposed to stay? We don't exactly have any money from this world." Krystal said as all of us agreed. We were broke here, even with a king in our group.

"Don't worry. The student dorms always have extra rooms available to guests. You can stay with class 3-B for the night. Just don't try and show off. It'll give you a bit of an advantage tomorrow." Cry said as we thanked him.

"Perfect. I'll be seeing you all tomorrow then. I'll arrange for you all to compete, plus your aliases for the competition." Nezu said as we thanked him as well.

"Thank you, sir. And thank you, Cry. We'll take our leave now. We'll see you tomorrow." I said to him as the 7 of us and Cry left to go to his dorm.

Things had just gotten a little better for us, thankfully. We weren't exactly seen as the enemy in this world, but now, we had to win an entire tournament in order to recruit warriors for our cause. If we don't succeed here, then we may just doom everyone else in Melromarc. But, with what we have to face in this tournament, that being U.A's big three, and Cry, who can literally distort reality, this is a far cry from an easy task. But this is something we have to succeed in. Because, like Cry, his class, and the rest of this world....

"We're all heroes trying to save our world"
