Magnus: All it said was "Hi this is Shun, I saved your number from the group chat just in case and thought I'd text you so you know who this is."

Kurin: that seems like something Shun would do

Magnus: Yeah, some criminals are so bad at what they do that it's honestly surprising they haven't gotten caught yet.

Ajit: I'd say it's because the police are just as bad at what they do as the criminals are

Magnus: Even AAAnimus isn't that much better at catching criminals.

Ajit: they used to be a lot better but then their best detective left

Ajit: although technically you weren't even a proper detective, you were just better than all the actual AAAnimus and police detectives. I still don't know how you did it

Ajit: I don't mean how you solved the cases, I mean how you were better at solving cases than professionally trained adults

Ajit: honestly I'd want to see how quickly you could catch those thieves

Ajit: I'd give it like a day

Magnus: Maybe less than that since you've told me who they are already so all I need to do is track them down either at their hideout or during their next robbery.

Ajit: half a day then?

Magnus: Three to four hours.

Ajit: oh by the way, this is kinda off topic but I keep forgetting to ask, what happened with your investigation on Everett?

Magnus: He's still suspicious but there's no actual evidence against him, so far.

Ajit: I see, do you think some evidence will show up soon?

Magnus: No idea, so far the only thing making him suspicious is how much he interacts with people who are definitely suspicious. He could be completely uninvolved but given the fact that it's Everett we're talking about, I doubt that.

Ajit: yeah, I would not trust him to be uninvolved

Magnus: Which is exactly why I'm still convinced he's involved.

Dan: it made sense to me! talking about YouTube video drama reminded me of Bakugan battles which were fun but also sometimes terrifying when we were fighting someone like Tiko or Haavik, so that reminded me of theme park rollercoasters which are also fun and terrifying then I was thinking about you not responding and then I thought I wonder if Kurin has heard from you today so that made me think about Kurin and if they're ok!!

Magnus: Sure, when you put it that way it makes a little bit of sense.

Magnus: Kurin is fine. They're just stupid.

Magnus: They tripped and fell on their face when trying to enter your school's library yesterday.

Magnus: And then they somehow managed to humiliate themself further because they can't lie and then my sister made an assumption quite loudly which just worsened things for them.

Magnus: Well, I'll let you pester Kurin for the full story but Emily assumed out loud that they had a crush on Chet and they both think Chet heard that. Which makes Kurin's plan to win that bet that's not actually a bet against Athena a lot more difficult.
