Welcome to the first biweekly progress update!

This is Raven, and I am here to announce the progress made so far for the contest.

For starters, here is the official criteria for the Best Short Film category that is currently being judged. Since it is a general category, it has general criteria.

Pretty standard criteria, so it's nothing crazy. Please let me know if you have any questions about it.

The Best Short Film category is the only category in-progress right now, though Reader's Choice will be set up soon. Remember Best Short Film is judged solely by Ravendipity (me).

As for progress, I have not done any participant prizes other than the intros, though I will go back in and leave comments after I am done reading all the entries.

Here's just a short list of what I have done this week.

Reviews finished writing but needs editing: 1

Total reviews in progress: 5

So half the category is read, with reviews on the way. ETA on results is always hard to give, but I am basically 99.9% confident they will be out well before the end of February, same with Reader's Choice. So at least two categories should be out this month.

Other notable announcements:

My Padauk Mini Awards has been completed!

My weekly writing contest is in its final week and will be completed within the next approximately five to nine days. Week 5 intros have been released.

My Candlelight Awards received its Short Stories results not too long ago.

The Forever Gold K-pop Awards will be receiving its Short Stories results ASAP.

My Who Awards has closed the music video category so I can begin judging it, and AOTY will be released soon, which is the first major category and second specialized category to receive results.

My Fairy Night Awards will be receiving Young Adult results in the near future.

I have a new Read Shop available completely for free, so anyone looking for genuine reads may want to check that out (like, it's completely free; it's not r4r as I don't participate in that, it's just me reading your work).

Next progress update: February 17th, 2025, likely later in the day in EST (I have class until late on Mondays, so it's hard to post them early, so probably in the 8 p.m. - 10 p.m. EST range).
