Ali was sitting on the swing with a rose in his hand uniting the rose petals with a dreamy smile.

Mera nikah shehzadi Aliza se hone wala hai. Phir main Mariam ke khayalon mein kyun khoya hoon. Kyun main Mariam ki taraf khicha chala ja raha hoon. Akhir aisa kya hai Mariam mein?

Ali wondered with a smile.

Kya mujhe Mariam se mohabbat....

Ali stopped his eyes widened in shock. He stood up from the swing with a jerk.

Nahin.... Nahin yeh mohabbat nahin hai. Sirf dosti hai aur dosti karna gunah thodi hai sirf dosti hai yeh sirf dosti usse aage aur Kuch nahin.

Ali said in one breath walking here and there.

Ah!!!

Ali yelped he was about to fall but someone gripped his hand. He looked ahead and found Mariam.

Mariam made him stand. He gulped but didn't dare to move his eyes away from her. She held him firmly.

Kya aap inn gulabon ko dekh ker humare bare main soch rahe thy Ali?

Mariam asked softly.

Na...hin

Ali whispered, his voice broke as he moved out and took a step back from her.

Bilkul nahin.

He whispered looking at her but more like he was assuring himself.

Mariam smiled. She moved forward, he moved backwards. She held his hand making his breath hitch.

His breath got stuck in his throat. His heart was beating loudly against his chest and he looked at the other side gulping as his cheeks turned warm. Blood pounded up to his ears.

Aap ke kehne ka matlab hai ke aapka dil humein dekh kar zor se nahin dhadakta?

Nah...in

Ali managed to chock out.

Kya aap Humein dekhne ke liye Bethab nahin rehte?

Mariam asked softly.  Ali,s heart raced because of the proximity. His cheeks still wam. He closed his eyes tightly.

Nahin.

Ali let out a low whisper.

Kya aap humare liye kuch mehsoos nahin karte?

Mariam asked softly stroking his braided cheek.

Nahin nahin bilkul nahin.

Ali said daring to look into her eyes. His breath got stuck in his throat as her soft fingers came in contact with his cheeks. He felt a rush of emotions running down his veins. He gulped and pushed her a little.

He was about to run but she held his wrist stopping him in his attempts of running away from her. They were now standing on the either sides of the swing looking into each other's eyes with lots of emotions.

Toh itne dinon se humare bich jo kuch bhi tha woh kuch bhi nahin tha.

Mariam asked, her voice laced with hurt pulling him towards herself making him look into her eyes.

He looked down. She loosened her hold on him and let him go. He looked at her tensed.

Theek hai. Hum ja rahe hain.

Mariam said hurtful, her eyes started to turn moist.

Ali looked at her tensed. He shook his head sideways as he chocked on his breath.

Kabhi pareshaan nahin karenge. Kabhi aapke paas nahin aayenge. Khuda Hafiz.

Mariam said brokenly still smiling.

She turned and started to go.

Ali,s heart stopped beating for a moment watching her going away from him. His eyes started tearing up. His heart broke seeing her going away from him as a sob escaped his lips.

Ruko.

Ali said a little loudly. Mariam stopped in her tracks and looked at him smiling through tears.

Mujhe tumhari kabhi samajh nahin aa sakti. Kabhi ek dam samajhdar ho jati ho, kabhi ek dam budhu, kabhi fikr jatati ho, kabhi dant ti ho. Kyun meri samajh mein nahin aati tum.

Ali said chuckling as he reached her and stood in front of her.

He cupped her face with his hands and looked into her eyes.

Mera dil tumhe dekh kar zor se nahin dhadakta, tumhe dekh ker dhadkana shuru karta hain, main tumse milne ke liye Bethab nahin hota kyunke main janta hoon ke bhale hi tum chali jao, per tumhare khayal humesha mere sath rahenge.

Ali whispered cupping her face with his hands. He wiped her tears with his thumb and she smiled brightly.

Saaf saaf kahiye Ali.

Mariam said looking at him smiling slightly.

Aur Kitna saaf saaf kahun Mariam.

Ali said chuckling.

He held her face in his palms and stroked her cheek and moved towards her ear.

Haan yehi pyaar hai.

Ali whispered in her ear and placed his lips on her soft cheek. She closed her eyes as tears rolled down her cheeks and she held him tightly.

He wrapped his arms around her petite frame hugging her protectively. She hugged her back tightly and they closed their eyes.

Main tumse bahot mohabbat karta hoon Mariam.

Ali whispered.

Kya Ali?

Aliza asked shocked as she stood up with a jerk.

Ali too stood up with a jerk realizing that he was dreaming. He palmed his mouth.

Iska matlab main Mariam se mohabbat karta hoon.

Ali thought as the shocking realization hit him hard.

Haan main Mariam se mohabbat karta hoon. Bepanah, beshumar, beinteha mohabbat karta hoon, jitni mohabbat iss duniya mein kisi ne kisi se nahin ki hogi utni mohabbat main Mariam se karta hoon.

Ali thought inhaling a shaky breath at the realization.
