Ali was sitting on the bed in his chamber. His heart sank. He stood up and walked towards the table.

He had a bad feeling that something terrible is going to happen but he didn't know what.

He felt restless and took the kalam in his hand and wrote something on the paper.

Uff

Ali groaned in frustration. He tore the paper and was about to write something on the other paper again but stopped and slammed the bunch of paper on the table.

Ya Allah yeh kya ho raha hai mujhe? Meri madad kar de mere maula.

Ali prayed in annoyance not being able to identify his feelings.

Kagaz kyun rakh diye Ali?

He heard Mariam's sweet voice asking him and turned around. All his frustration vanished in a moment seeing her smiling and coming towards him. He smiled at her. She too smiled at him and stood in front of him 

Jo dil main hai likh daliye Ali. Acha lagega aapko. Halka mehsoos Karenge aap.

Mariam said softly with a smile forwarding the bunch of papers to him. Ali shook his head sideways.

Nahin Mariam. Mere dil main kuch nahin hai. Inn mein likhne ke liye kuch nahin hai mere paas.

Ali said averting his eyes from her.

Bol dijiye Ali.

Mariam said softly. She kept her hand on his shoulder. His breath got stuck in his throat. He looked at her.

Kya bol doon?

Ali asked, his breathes turned heavy.

Mariam smiled softly. She shook her head and cupped his face. He closed his eyes and held his breath as his cheeks turned warm instantly by her touch.

Wohi jo aap humare liye mehsoos karte hain.

Mariam said keeping her voice as soft as possible with a heart melting smile adorning her lips.

Main aapke liye kuch mehsoos nahin karta.

Ali said as he looked at the other side.

Yehi baat humari ankhon mein dekh kar kahiye.

Mariam said, her voice was soft, yet almost pleading.

He looked into her eyes and held her by her shoulders.

Hum aapke liye kuch mehsoos nahin karte shehzadi Mariam.

He said looking into her eyes.

Apni ankhein band kijiye.

Mariam said rather ordered.

Kyun?

Ali asked crossing his arms across his chest.

Kijiye na.

Her voice turned soft. He sighed and closed his eyes.

Apne dil per hath rakhiye.

Mariam said softly. Ali kept his hand on his heart.

Ab kuch mehsoos hua?

Mariam asked softly. His heart raced but he was still stubborn.

Nahin.

Ali lied opening his eyes.

Mariam smiled. She moved closer to him and kept her hand over his heart.

Ab bhi kuch mehsoos nahin hua?

Mariam asked softly. Ali,s breath got stuck in his throat. His heart raced. Mariam chuckled hearing his raced heartbeats.

Dhadkanein tez ho gayi na? Aapki dhadkanein aapse kuch kehna chahti hain Ali.

Mariam asked smiling softly.

He opened his eyes and looked at her.

Kuch nahin keh rahin hain Mariam.

Ali lied looking into her eyes.

Khud se jhooth mat boliye Ali.

Mariam said with a soft smile.

She cupped his face with her hands and made him look into her eyes.

Theek hai. Nahin janna chahate mat janiye. Nahin manna chahate toh mat maniye. Nahin kehna chahate mat kahiye.

Mariam said softly and held his hand.

Hum ja rahe hain Ali. Phir kabhi aapke paas nahin aayenge, aapko kabhi pareshaan nahin Karenge.

Mariam said and started to move back. Their hands started to separate. He looked at her with fear written all over his face and shook his head sideways. She continued to move back with a smile until she was out of his sight.

MARIAM!!

Ali let out a semi yell watching her going away from him. His heart stopped beating for a moment at the mare thought of her going away from him. He opened his eyes and looked around restlessly.

Yeh kya tha ya Allah? Shehzadi Mariam ke liye kya mehsoos karta hoon main?

He thought.

next day,

Night

Engagement Time

It was the time for engagement and everyone was sitting on their seats. Aliza smiled looking at Ali he let out a small smile looking at her. He looked ahead.

Shehzadi Mariam Kahan hai?

Ali asked Aliza upon not seeing Mariam around.

Aap kyun pooch rahe hain?

Aliza asked looking at him confused.

Woh dikh nahin rahin na iss liye.

Ali said.

Are woh....

Aliza said and chuckled.

Woh kon hai?

Dadi said pointing at a girl clad in a blue princess outfit.

Her back was facing everyone.

Woh kon hai ....

Everyone uttered confused.

Nazar jo teri laagi main deewani ho gayi.

The girl turned around, her face was covered by a golden shimmery cloth. She looked at Ali for a moment before wiping a lone tear that escaped her eye.

Deewani haan deewani deewani ho gayi.

She swayed her perfect slim wrist on the lyrics and removed the cloth from her face. Everyone got shocked seeing Mariam there. Most shocked was Ali. She looked at Ali. Her eyes held hurt but still she had a beautiful smile on her face.

Mashoor mere ishq ki Kahani ho gayi.

She twilled around. Her eyes filled with tears. Everyone chaired as they looked at her body with lusty eyes but she cared less as her  pain she was feeling was much more than anything.

Jo jag ne na mani toh maine bhi thani kahan thi main dekho kahan chali aayi....

She stopped twilling around and walked to Ali but stopped herself and stepped back. Hurt laced her eyes as she looked at them. Ali was hurt seeing the hurt on her face. She smiled painfully.

Kehte hain yeh deewani mastani ho gayi.

She looked at Ali and smiled at him but her eyes were laced with pain remembering their moments. Tears flowed down her cheeks which she wiped harshly with the back of her hand and continued dancing. Ali fisted his hands in anger

Zakham aisa tune lagaya....
Deewani deewani deewani deewani ho gayi.

She continued looking at them. Her eyes were filled with ocean of helpless tears. She smiled sarcastically on her fate while doing her steps.

Marham aisa tune lagaya....
Ruhani ruhani ruhani ruhani ho gayi.

She walked towards them smilingly and twilled around before walking back to her place. Aliza smiled seeing the dance while Ali fisted his hands in anger so tight that his knuckles turned white.

Pehchan mere Ishq ki ab toh....

Mariam did her next step.

Pehchan mere Ishq ki ab toh rawani rawani rawani rawani ho gayi.

She stopped and turned around and looked at them for a moment. She moved a strand of her hair behind her ear and looked at them again wiping her tears that rolled down her cheeks without her permission. She was feeling like a living corpse. She was breathing but wasn't alive. The pain she was feeling was unexplainable, seeing her love with someone else killed her countless deaths. For the first time in her life, she questioned her destiny that why she? Wasn't she capable of love? Wasn't she made for love? Destiny played it's cruel game with her and she lost her everything. That's when Ali came in her life and taught her to live again but fate was too cruel to her that it snatched him from her too throwing her back into the world of darkness. She still kept hoping that he'll come back to her and he did but he refused to recognize her and now is marrying her best friend Aliza. Why her fate is so cruel to her? She felt like dying as the pain was growing unbearable for her.

Ali looked at Mariam with pain, hurt and anger laced in his eyes. Unknowingly a tear rolled up on cheek

Mashoor mere ishq ki kahani ho gayi
Kehte hain yeh deewani mastani ho gayi.
Deewani haan deewani deewani ho gayi

She continued dancing all the while looking at him.

Ali couldn't stop himself anymore. He stood up and walked to her while everyone including Aliza looked at him shocked. He stood in the middle of the stage.

Sab Noor Noor sa bikhra hai
Ek tu hi khayalon mein utra hai
Bas jhoom jhoom jhoom jhoom jata hai dil.

She twilled around smiling but tears continued to roll down her beautiful hazel brown orbs. She stopped and looked at Ali who was standing in front of her

Tu mastani hai....
Tu deewani hai....

She realized what she was doing. She wiped her tears and twilled around him in a circle, continuing to dance. Ali closed his eyes, a tear rolled up on his cheek as if he was feeling her pain

Pakiza hasti hai teri
Tu noorani hai....

She stopped twilled around too and looked at him. She cupped his face with her hand. He closed his eyes. She removed her hand from his cheek and smiled painfully at him. His heart broke seeing her painful smile.

Sab Noor Noor sa bikhra hai
Ek tu hi khayalon mein utra hai

She spun around him in circles. Even when her soul betrayed her, her body didn't stop swaying on the beets.

It was as if her pain, frustration, her every emotion was coming out in form of dance. So she continued dancing her heart out, thinking that maybe she can distract herself from the unbearable pain she was feeling.

With her every moment she spent with Ali roaming in her mind and tears rolling down her cheeks, she continued twilling around him in circles, her feet wanted to give up but she refused to stop. Finally her feet gave up and she was about to fall but Ali held her protectively in his arms, Mariam's heartbeats were fast. Her feet were paining as hell, her breathes were heavy and body was warm.

Mariam opened her eyes and looked at him still breathing a little unevenly. They both looked into each other,s eyes

Mariam's eyes were filled with pain, longing and love while Ali,s eyes were filled with some unknown emotion along with pain, hurt and worry.

Ali.

Mariam whispered slowly but Ali heard it.

Hmm.

Ali hummed in response.

The jhoomar moved. Aliza saw it and panicked.

ALI MARIAM HATIYE!!!!

Aliza screamed. Ali and Mariam saw the jhoomar moving and Ali pulled Mariam aside as a result they both rolled on the floor. All the guests panicked and started rushing out of the palace.

Ali looked at Mariam who was under him with fear panic written all over her face. He looked at her in fear and cupped her face with his hands.

Tum theek ho Marjina? Chot toh nahin aayi? Kahin dard ho raha hai kya?

Ali asked her patting her cheeks lightly. Mariam who was in shock due the sudden happenings came back to her senses hearing Marjina from him and hugged him tightly. He responded the hug by hugging her more tightly.

Hum theek hain

Mariam said still in the hug while he breathed in relief.

Shukar hai khuda ka.
