Stella has been shifting her attention back and forth to her watch and to the road where she has been waiting for Ully to come back. She was roughly waiting for him for an hour now and he has no sign of coming back yet. 

She tried to open the barrier and luckily when she opened it a little so Ully would be able to get back inside the town. Nag-aalala naman si Stella dahil tumatagal na ang paglabas ni Ully. Walang alam sa Edmond sa ginagawa nilang dalawa ngayon.

"Ully nasaan ka na ba?" aniya na labis ang pag-aalala.

Mayamaya lamang ay tinindigan siya ng balahibo sa buong katawan. Mabilis siya napalingon sa kanyang paligid at naging alerto sa kung ano man ang mangyari. Saglit lamang ay natunton niya kung ano ang nagbigay sa kanya ng kakaibang pakiramdam na 'yon.

Napatayo siya sa pagkakasalampak sa sahig at hindi niya napigilang mapangiti nang makita si Ully kasama ang grupo ng mga lobo sa anyo bilang isang normal na mga tao. Bago pa man tuluyang makalusot ang mga lobo ay may nauuna sa kanilang pumasok sa loob ng barrier at iyon ay mga goblins.

Natigilan naman sina Ully at ang mag kasamahan nito sa paglapit sa barrier nang makita ang mga goblins. Hindi naman alam ni Stella kung anong gagawin niya. Mabilis na gumawa ng aksyon si Ully at tumakbo ito papunta sa direksyon ng mga goblins at ikinagulat na lamang ni Stella nang magbago ito ng anyo at sinugod ang mga goblins.

Stella was also ordered by new Ully's friends to bring the barrier down. Lubos namang ikinabahala ni Stella ang mangyayari pero pinili niyang sundin ang mga sinasabi nito at kanyang tuluyang isinara ang barrier ng Freymount.

Nang magawang ibaba ni Stella ang barrier ay sumugod na rin ang mga ibang wolf at tinulingan si Ully sa pagsugpo sa mga goblins. They were all ugly and terrifying to look at. Nang sabay-sabay na sindakin ng mga lobo ang mga goblin ay isa-isa na rin itong naglaho.

Saglit lang din ay bumalik sa anyong tao ang mga lobo at isa-isa nilang pinagpupulot ang kanilang mga damit. Inilayo na lamang ni Stella ang tingin hangga't sa makalapit ito sa kanya.

Napapagitan ng barrier, lumapit si Ully at binalik ni Stella ang tingin sa kaibigan.

"Stella," panimula nito. "Don't you worry about us."

"Ully, I'll try to open the barrier again... but it'll take me some time again," ani Stella.

"'Wag na, Stels. Opening the barrier would only attract more creatures and we can't afford to secure the barrier all the time. Me and my new friends we'll be there when the time comes. I'll be with them all the time. Focus on your abilities, I've got them to help me.

"He's right," the golden-haired, blue-eyed guy stepped in and called him the alpha. "We might be banned from entering this town, but we won't let anything bad happen into it. We'll help you get through this and of course, with our new friend."

"Thank you..." Stella muttered.

"We'll see you around, Stela," Ully said.

"Wait! What should I tell to Ed?"

"Tell him the truth," the alpha said. "If he's not okay with it, it's his problem. We won't let this town burned to ashes. As much as we hated that vampire, we're doing it because we only intend to help and not for revenge."

Napabuntong-hininga na lang din si Stella saka tumango. "I would tell him then. Be safe guys."

"And one more thing," the alpha said.  "When you heard our howl, we're coming."

Ully and the pack shifted back to being a wolf. Nahuli pa Ully sa pagpapalit ng anyo but he still made it through. Pinanood na lamang ni Stella na bumalik sa kagubatan ang mga lobo at saka ito bumalik sa bayan.

On the other hand, Edmond was with Elius and Pellegrino in the basement of the souvernir shop in which happen they saw the pleading Chieftain Clements and the angry Edwardine.

Pellegrino couldn't believe that they were able to hold imprisoned the leader of the town and even if the search for him was highly in action now, they could still manage to hide them away from the people. Well, they didn't know about the basement and didn't bother to know at all. A souvenir shop was so boring for everyone.

"Please, get me out of here... I'm so hungry, thirsty... and I needed to pee. How could you all be so cruel?!" Chieftain Clements sobbed.

"Let me tell you this," Edmond said. "Were the Clements wasn't cruel to this town? Hindi mo ba naisip 'yon? 'Wag mong kaawan ang sarili mo Roman. You and your family lied to everyone and both of you should pay for it!"

"Hey!" Edwardine caught their attention. "I'll pay for everything! Leave him out of his misery! I know I shouldn't be cruel to him as well because he was only trying to save me so I'll take it all!"

"Your family was the reason this town became historically framed up from its lies. Napakadelikado ng bayang ito sa totoo lang. At ngayon na may karma nang paparating sa bayang ito, we can't run."

"Ano bang sinasabi mo?!"

"Ano 'yon, Edwardine?" tanong ni Roman.

Hindi sinagot ni Edwardine si Roman kung hindi ay mariin niyang tiningnan si Edmond.

"A destruction is coming and they are near the town. We better come prepared as soon as they stepped into this town. They could break the barrier made by the Escott's so easily that in time of that moment, they will conquer this town and burn it to ashes and leave no one behind and I'm sure, they'll leave no one alive."

"Not this town, not Freymount."

"It is, Roman, and you can't do anything about it. You're just a human who made this town believe they were safe all along—" but then when Edmond said that, Elius nudged him as he thought of an idea so he immediately whispered it to him. As he learned his suggestions, he nodded. He looked back at the leader. "I have a proposal I think you'll like, Roman."

His face lightened up. "Yes, yes! Tell me!"

"You'll gonna be part of this fight against them and your part is gonna be the leader of this town. They still believe you. This town thought that it needed someone like you and whatever words you would say will manifest their decisions. You can make them leave this town—"

"Wait—this is their home! Where should they be going then?"

"Anywhere but not here. Just do anything to get them away from here and if that happens, we could easily fight them without concerning the life of everyone. We'll be the only ones who will stay in this town."

"I-I can do that!" Roman stuttered.

"You sure?" Edmond asked.

Roman giddily nodded to him.

"Paano ako?!" Edwardine shouted. They shifted their heads to him. "Kung kaya niya, kaya ko rin!"

Muling may binulong si Elius kay Edmond at napatango na lang din naman ito.

Edmond cleared his throat, but before he could start speaking, Pell took over the conversation. "No, no, whatever you're thinking, Ed. It's not good. We can't let this vampire be on our team. He's new to this and he doesn't have any idea what he was capable of."

"'Wag niyo na ako pahirapan! Gagawin ko ng tama kung ano man ang ibigay niyos sa akin," ani Edwardine.

"I don't know, mate," Pell answered, shaking his head.

"I think we really need his help," Edmond said.

Pell grunted but he knew what Edmond was doing that's why he didn't argue with him anymore.

"Ilalabas lang namin kayong dalawa sa inyong kulungan kung susundin niyo ang mga utos namin. We could kill you in the way we know how to kill a normal vampire. And for you, Roman, it would be easy to kill a human. So, we asked both of you not to do anything that would cost your lives. Naiintindihan niyo ba ako?"

Tumango ang dalawa.

"At Edwardine, tutulungan mo kaming lumaban. Coming altogether was only our ticket to win this battle."

"I'll do my best then," Edwardine said.

"When we'll get out of this place?" sabik na sabik na tanong ni Roman.

"Not so fast, Roman," Edmond smirked.

Mayamaya lang din ay humahakos na dumating si Stella. Napatingin naman ang lahat sa kanya. Puno naman ng takot at kaba ang mukha ni Stella.

"Oh, what happened Stella?" Elius worriedly asked.

Hindi alam kung paano sisimulan ni Stella ang sasabihin niya. Kaya naman ipinakalma na lamang muna siya ni Elius hannggang sa mapanatag at kumalma ang pakiramdam nito.

"May kailangan akong sabihin..."

"And what is it?" tanong ni Edmond kasabay ng pagtaas ng kilay.

"I just went from the library now and Miss Longoria agreed to help us together with Nala."

"Really?!" Edmond exclaimed surprisingly.

Tumango naman si Stella. "Bansee smell death at ayaw nilang mangyari iyon.

"Ah—what now? Banshee?" Roman asked.

"Hindi mo na kailangan pang alamin," ani Edmond. "Nasaan na si Ully? Magkasama kayong dalawa kanina 'di ba? Did he buy us some dinner?" Tumawa pa ng bahagya si Edmond pero walang reaksyon ang ipinakita ang dalaga kaya sumeryoso rin ang mukha nito. "What's going on, Stella?"

"Ully's out of the border," pag-amin niya.

"Shit!" Edmond hissed. "Teka! Paano nangyari 'yon?!"

Humugot ng malalim na hininga si Stella. "Alam kong sinabi mo sa amin na 'wag gagawa ng kung ano man pero hindi kami nakinig. Alam kong hindi pa sapat ang abilidad ko para sa mangyayari kaya napag-isipan namin ni Ully na humingi ng tulong sa grupo ng mga lobo. The good news here, nakahingi si Ully ng tulong at handa silang tulungan tayo. At kanina lamang... inatake kami ng mga goblin na nagawan naman agad namin ng paraan."

Edmond doesn't know what to say. "So he's with them now?"

Stella nodded. "He does... I'm sorry Ed."

"I know I've said it na 'wag ng gawin 'yon. Opening the barrier only attracts more creatures to Freymount." Napailing na lamang si Edmond.

"I didn't mean to... we were just trying to help," paliwanag ni Stella at napayuko na lamang ito.

She thought telling them that they've already got the help from the Banshee would make it good pero hindi pa pala. Naiintindihan naman ni Stella kung bakit gano'n ang reaksyon ni Edmond. Lumapit naman si Elius sa kanya at kinomfort ito. Kinausap naman ni Pell si Edmond sa nabalitaan nila.

Werewolves hated Edmond kaya gano'n na lamang ang reaksyon niya. Siya kasi ang dahilan kung bakit hindi na sila nakakatapak sa loob ng Freymount.

And an unexpected thing happened, they all felt the ground shook.

Edmond gasped. "They're now here."
