Chapter Twelve: One Shot To Wound Her
It was the third day, and we had heard the announcement of the feast.
Chara and I had decided to send me into the bloodshed, because I had the most effective, and long distance weapon. We opened the pack and split the things evenly amongst each other.
I got the rope, and fastened it like a belt, in which I could hang the dagger. I let Chara take the bag and the coconuts, seeing as it would be a struggle to carry 3 coconuts, fend off opponents, and nab a bag all at once. We did split the medical box in half with the dagger, giving me the actual box and her the lid, to carry the bandages and medicine.
As we parted ways, I looked back at Chara one last time.
"Please don't die." I begged silently, before quickly running the other direction.
I had a plan to get there first and steal our bags quickly. I would then run to the icy mountains, and reunite with my ally.
I walked for a bit, and I had finally reached my destination. The place we had once been when this had all started. The Cornucopia.
This time, it was different though. The broken ice, was restored. The corpses sliding along the freezing floor, gone.
I walked on to the icy surface, and scanned my surroundings before I sprinted. I was the first one here.
I lightly leaped across the ice, carefully shifting my weight in order to keep the ice uncracked.
I scoped the bags until I could find ours: 2 and 3.
I bent down and nabbed two light pink bags, when I heard someone's foot crunch on the ice. I turned around, and quickly pulled an arrow out of my quiver and drew my bow. It was Mirabella.
She smirked at me and jumped on my stomach, her hands grasped around my throat, trying to suffocate me. I had my bow in my left hand, and lifted it slowly, as my vision started to fade. Before lost consciousness, I lifted my foot around her body mass, and kicked her in the stomach, sending her flying backwards, and leaving a crack in the ice.
I lifted my bow again, and aimed quickly, but precisely at her chest. I let go of my hold on the arrow, and sent it straight into the middle of her chest. Her wound immediately gushed with blood, and she fell to the ground. She tried to pull the sharp arrow out of her, but screamed with every tug.
I looked away and grabbed the two pink bags I had from before, and jogged to a little green bag in a row with others just like it. My eyes looked back and forth for a few seconds, before I knelt down and grabbed the bonus pack.
Now to find Chara, if she survived.
