Dear Present Me,

You are happy sometimes.
Not a real care in the world.
Before you grow up too soon,
There are some things I'd like to share with you.

First Lesson: There are trials up ahead.
They are coming sooner than you think.
Through the ups and downs
All you have is hope, morals and faith.

Second Lesson: Appreciate all that you have.
Nothing good last forever.
Never take things or people for granted
Because you never know when they will go.

Third Lesson: Listen and obey your parents.
Most times they know what is best.
They might not understand you sometimes
But they only want you to succeed in life.

Fourth Lesson: Don't let life keep you down.
Things might happen, feel free to cry.
Don't wallow in self pity,
Get up and try to make your situation better.

Fifth Lesson: Stay on the path that is meant for you.
Don't let others lead you astray.
At the end of the day,
It is your life, not theirs.

Sixth Lesson: Everyday is a blessing.
Live your life to the fullest.
Don't let fear keep you from living.
Make sure you make moments.
