Day Two (Afternoon)

Bella Rosewood's P.O.V. (D9)

My alliance and I hike through the forest, not even knowing where we're going. I'm assuming Flora knows. She's kinda been our team leader for this whole thing, even though she killed one of our allies at the Bloodbath on accident. She feels really really awful about it. Thankfully, Kierra was able to forgive her, if she really did. I don't know if I would've been able to forgive Kierra if she had killed Flora, even if it was by accident.

I can't imagine living without her. She's always been there for me.

I was so worried at the Bloodbath when she was all beat up by Autumn and Jean.

"Flora, where are we going?" Kierra asks, sounding exhausted.

"To the cornucopia, we're out of supplies," Flora replies.

Kierra stops in her tracks, "Are you crazy? We can't go there! The Careers are there, they'll tear us to pieces!"

"Well, one way or the other, this has got to end."

"What! Are you giving up? Why would you do that? It's not like you actually lost your friend. You still have a reason to live!"

"I know I do! That's why I'm going to the cornucopia, to get more supplies to live!" Flora shoots back.

"Well I'm not coming!" Kierra shouts.

Flora sighs and pinches the bridge of her nose, "I'm not asking you to. You can come if you want to come. It would be nice if you would, though."

I speak up, "I'll come, Flora. I'm not letting you go in there on your own."

"Thanks. Kierra, just stay here if you want. We'll be back, hopefully."

Iona Flourisha's P.O.V. (D11)

"Guys, I think I hear something," I say, standing up.

Jean grabs her sword and Clarice finds a spear, "What is it?"

I point at the field. Two girls were running straight for us. It looked like Bella and Flora.

"What do they think they're doing? First of all, we outnumber them, and second, we're Careers. They must be crazy," Clarice says.

Once they get in range, Clarice tosses her spear towards them, but somehow misses.

"Ok, I guess I'm doing short-ranged weapons for this one."

Clarice walks into the horn and looks over a shelf of knives and daggers, casually. She must not be that worried about the situation at hand.

I draw my double swords out of my belt and get into a fighting stance.

The first to attack is Bella. She throws a dagger at Jean, who to my amazement, catches it in her hand.

"Sloppy throw," she comments.

Then Bella slashes her other dagger at my face. I turn to the side just in time to avoid it. If I hadn't turned, it would've cut my nose off.

Jean runs up to Flora and swings her sword at her.

Bella starts to run to the opening of the cornucopia, but slams right into Clarice.

"Hi, Bella. You like my new knife?" Clarice says, holding up a knife, "How about a closer look?"

In a second, Clarice grabs Bella by the collar of her jacket and runs the knife across her throat.

Blood immediately covers Bella's neck and stains her shirt.

Clarice released her jacket, allowing her to fall to the ground.

BOOM!

"No! Bella!" Flora screamed. She pushed past Jean and ran to Bella's dead body.

"Bella, wake up! It doesn't look so bad."

Jean roll her eyes and takes a step closer to Flora.

Suddenly I hear a whizzing sound, and so does Jean, because she looks in the same direction I do.

I turn just in time to see a trident bury itself in Jean's leg. She screams and pulls it out angrily.

Sapphire Lyn rushes into the cornucopia suddenly. I was still trying to take in what had just happened.

"Iona! Get her!" Jean screams at me.

I shake my head and dash into the horn.

"Iona, look out!"

I duck just in time to save myself from an axe, which soars above my head.

I turn back to Sapphire, who now has another trident and an axe. I run up to her, slicing my swords through the air.

She takes a cautious step backwards as I approach.

Before she can make a dash for it, I arch one of my swords through the air, and with an almighty clash, it crashes against her trident. She pushes the trident away from her in attempt to push me with it, but that fails. I pry the trident from her grasp and toss it to the back of the cornucopia. She snarls and lunges at me with her axe.

She swings for my neck, but I duck it. As I do so, I find an opening to take a strike, so I do. When I ducked, I stabbed both of my swords into her stomach.

She chokes and drops her axe. I stand up and pull my swords out of her stomach.

Her eyes glaze over before her body leans back against the wall of the cornucopia and slips to the floor.

BOOM!

I sigh and grab Sapphires wrist, pulling her out of the cornucopia. The hovercraft has to be able to get to her body somehow.

I look around when I'm outside. Flora is gone and Bella's body is still there, staining the grass. Clarice is helping Jean into a standing position.

Her leg is leaking blood everywhere.

"I'll see if I can find some medical supplies in here," I say, dropping Sapphire and going back into the horn.
