Murphy (P-2)

Murphy + Lexi

A whole week had passed and the pair had settled nicely into their own makeshift home. They located themselves within a small Grounder camp who had welcomed the two with open arms, due to their fighting skills- the Grounders were proud on their skills and had seen a heart of a warrior within the pair. Murphy and Lexi were still getting used to actually having allies around them instead of having to watch their backs every second of the day.

Lexi had stolen a tent as well as a few blankets and other items she deemed useful, those at camp still hadn't realised she was no longer there as well as having no knowledge of the missing items.

Murphy strolled back into their tent with the refilled water canteens to see Lexi sitting a cross legged on their bed with a distant look on her face, seemingly unaware of his presence. He shook his head amused before leaving the canteens next to their bag and falling down onto their bed beside her.

She yelped at the sudden motion, spinning around and hitting Murphy's shoulder with a glare. "Don't do that John, you scared me!" He laughed again, wrapping an arm around her shoulder, "What has you worked up Lex? Talk to me." He mumbled as she leant back and rested her head on his chest.

"I'm okay, it's just strange to not have to constantly hunt for food or protection. Who knew Trishana Kru were so humble when they want to be." She laughed quietly, toying with the fabric of her top. They had been given new clothes once they joined, a Grounder look actually fitted the pair.

"Only because they accepted us... well now that I say it, it does sound pretty strange. The two of us have actually been accepted for who we are... What has the world come to?" Their laughter filled the tent, happy and content with the way things were going for them. They had a home, new friends and above all, they had each other.
