Bellamy
Bellamy + Kara
Kara was conflicted, she was taught that feelings were a weakness- and weak she was not.
But watching the scene in front of her- she couldn't help but intervene. Pulling her bow from over her shoulder she aimed an arrow at the fairly large Grounder that had cornered Bellamy.
Blood dripped from the side of his face as he struggled to move from under the Grounder, the sharpened spear putting the delinquent on edge as he realised he couldn't get away. The pain increased in his ribs as the Grounder pressed his booted foot harder almost cutting off his breathing entirely.
Closing her eyes briefly she shot the arrow, piercing into the male's left side. He cried out in pain spinning around to face another enemy but instead he saw who was supposed to be an ally. His face hardened as he spat at her in disgust.
She glared, slinging her bow back in place with her arrows and pulled out her blade before lunging at him.
Bellamy struggled to move, his breathing ragged and shallow as he caught glimpses of the fight.
A thud caught his attention, a groan escaped his lips as he glanced at his side. The female grounder stood above him, looking down at the injured man. Recognition flashed in his eyes as he looked up at the green eyed Grounder that had saved him.
"Knew I'd see you again." He coughed, his bloodied hand resting on his aching ribs.
Her concerned eyes looked him over, more so on the blood that dripped down the side of his face. She watched as he went to speak again but a loud horn cut him off. A warning sound she didn't want to hear at this particular moment.
Moving quickly, she hooked his arm over her shoulder and pulled him up- ignoring the pained groan he emitted. But thankfully, he moved along with her as she guided him expertly through the forest.
Thankfully he hadn't been too far from her shelter, the underground bunker she had found and fixed up when she was just a child. Leaning him against a half fallen tree, she moved a section of the foliage from the ground and pulled up a metal door.
They both glanced back at where they had come from to see the acid fog approaching with speed. Hastily she helped him climb down before following, shutting and locking the door in the process just in time.
Bellamy fell into a padded chair, wincing as he shifted into a more comfortable position to ease the pain in his ribs.
He watched as the Grounder moved across the bunker, a concentrated look on her face as she looked into rusted drawers and cabinets. Finally with a triumphant smile she pulled out a small bottle and a cloth before walking over to him.
Almost cautiously she crouched beside him and held up the cloth motioning to his cut that had thankfully stopped bleeding so heavily. Understanding her motives he nodded and allowed her to pour the slightly tinted liquid on the cloth before dabbing it onto his cut, earning a hiss of pain from him.
"Why are you helping me? You're people are killing us-" He hissed again as she pressed the cloth harder with a slight scowl, not wanting to talk about her betrayal to her people. "Alright, alright I get it." He glared back, but still continued to allow her to help him out. This time without questioning her actions.
For what seemed like hours later, she had finished patching up his various injuries. She had checked on the passing of the acid fog and thankfully it had already disappeared from the area. She looked over to Bellamy and nodded letting him know too.
"Thanks, for uh... well you know." He stammered slightly, red tinted his cheeks as she focused on him again. She continued to stay silent, not too sure of what she'd say to begin with.
"Why don't you talk? I know you can, well unless you can't speak English or understand us." He frowned, his thoughts distracting him slightly so when she picked up the bottle from beside him, he jumped in shock.
She couldn't help the laugh that escaped her lips making him smile to himself. A blush covered her cheeks as she quickly put the bottle away and begin washing the bloody cloth in a barrel in the corner of the room. Furthest away from Bellamy.
He chuckled lightly as he looked around and eyed the bed placement he saw through another room of the bunker. "Go rest." She finally spoke, her own voice startling her as well as Bellamy. He looked at her in shock before slowly getting to his feet.
"You can- wow okay. Are you-"
"Go." She glanced up at him again. Her eyes piercing his. He scowled slightly but nodded, the tiredness in his eyes getting the best of him.
Kara had already finished cleaning and sat in the same room Bellamy was sleeping, in her bed. She didn't feel tired but she wasn't sure about leaving him alone. She sat on the floor watching over the very vulnerable male, she could've redeemed herself to her people if she had maybe killed him but she didn't want this one to die.
Afterall, she saw the Skaikru as people who just wanted to survive whether they had come from the sky or not- their home was the earth as well.
Being far too in thought she hadn't realised Bellamy had awoken and was watching her curiously. He cracked a grin when he saw the slight tinge in her cheeks. Which were now paint free.
"You alright over there? Tired?"
She swallowed and shrugged in response, not understanding where he was going with what he was saying.
She watched as he shuffled back so he was closer to the wall and then motioned for her to move to him. Tilting her head she slowly pulled herself from the floor. Not helping the laugh, Bellamy took her hand in his and pulled her down onto the bed. "You should probably get some sleep too you know. I won't bite, much."
She glanced at him with a raised eyebrow before allowing herself to get comfortable beside him and slowly fall into a dark slumber.
