7.) Summer Camp Ruined
"Izuku, I got Kota and your back," Kivi says, rushing up to pull Kota into her grasp.
Kota sniffles loudly, burying his face in her chest and clutching her shirt tightly. His whole body is trembling, making Kivi's upper torso shake.
"Right!"
Kivi looks down to Kota. "Hey, Kota? Everything is going to be okay." She gives him a reassuring smile, running her hand through his hair. "Izuku and I will protect you no matter what."
Izuku begins to fight the man with Kivi continually blocking the man's attack from ever hitting Izuku. Half of Izuku's shirt has seemingly torn apart from his own power. The man's quirk seems to make his muscles ridiculously large so much so that the red muscles bulge out of his skin.
"Dammit! That's getting really fucking annoying!" the man shouts about Kivi's shields.
"He's the man w-who killed my parents!" Kota shouts, glaring at the man. "Do you... remember Water Hose?!"
"Seriously?" the man questions, turning towards the two. "Those losers were your parents? Well then this must be fate! The Water Hose heroes, they're the reason I have an artificial eye in my left socket right now." He points to the nasty scar of his eye.
"This is all your fault!" Kota sniffles. "Nothing in the world is right anymore and it's because of crazy people like you!"
"Little kids are always so quick to say it's someone else's fault," the man says. "Don't get the wrong idea, it's not like I took them out cause I was mad about the eye thing. I wanted to kill people. It's as simple as that and those two tried to stop me. What happened was a result of all of us doing our best. The real travesty is promising something you aren't able to do! That's why your dear old mommy and daddy died!" He raises his arms above Kivi and Kota, preparing to slam them down.
Kivi simply puts up a force field dome over top of them not gaining a dent. Izuku doesn't move, trying to figure out the best way to take this guy down. The villain begins to repeatedly smash down on her shield.
Izuku finally decides and uses 100% of his power on the man, smashing him straight into the wall and blowing debris everywhere. Izuku appears beside Kota and Kivi with a broken arm. Kota looks on in sadness and confusion.
"Let's get back to camp," Izuku says, now with his shirt totally gone. "It's not far."
"Why..." Kota sniffles, confused on why they'd save someone who wanted nothing to do with them.
The villain emerges from the rock. Kivi surrounds Izuku into their force field. The man begins to talk, seemingly serious this time as he places a red item over his artificial eye. He smashes down on Kivi's shield with more power than before. The shield remains strong as Kivi pulls in energy to keep it steady from the trees around them. She's so confident in her shield at the moment that she believes All Might wouldn't be able to break it at his full power.
Kivi's ignores what he's saying as her hair falls into her face, taking a deep annoyed breath. "Kota? I know we made a promise that you would take this man down one day. I didn't think that it was gonna happen this soon. So, instead I'll take your place to take him down. As long as it's alright with you."
Kota looks up at her through tears. "Y-yes," he sniffles. "I-I'll let you."
"Good. Izuku, watch Kota," she releases Kota to Izuku's grasp. "Hey fugly! How about you pick on someone your own size?"
The man scoffs then laughs. "And is that supposed to be you, little girl?"
She grins and begins to draw more energy from the forest nearby, enabling her to grow twice the size the man is as she walks out her shield. "Something like that, little man."
"What the hell?!" the villain shouts with a widened eye.
She stands just outside her shield with a look that could kill. "You killed people for your own selfish reasons, and you made a child lose his parents," she speaks scarily calm. "I can never forgive someone like that."
"Now I understand why they want you, but I have yet to meet this Bakugo boy. Wonder if he's as powerful as you?" the man grins.
Kivi let's out a huff of amused air through her nose. "Hardly." She grabs him by the throat, squeezing as hard as she can muster. He begins to gasp for air, clawing at her hand and even punching. "I never understood the want to kill... until now. Too bad I have morals." She begins to drain every drip of his energy until he falls limp in her hands. She throws him into the rock as hard as she can, basically creating a whole new cave he goes so far in. She returns to her normal size. "He won't be getting up for a week."
Kota falls down on his rump in tears.
"Holy shit, Kivi-san! That was... incredible!" Izuku shouts.
"Give me your damn arms, dumbass."
"Huh?"
"Your fucking arms! Are you listening?!"
"Ah! Sorry!" He holds out his shattered arms. Kivi grabs them with a vice grip. "OW!"
"That's what you deserve!" she shouts, healing him completely. "You need to learn to control this dammit! I'm not gonna be with you forever."
"Why?!" Kota suddenly shouts. "Why did you risk your lives? Even though you don't know me at all!" He sniffles, trying to hold back his tears as he falls to his knees. "Why did you try to save me?"
Kivi's angry expression becomes soft, and she kneels down in front of him. "Because that's what heroes do." She surrounds him in a hug. "We protect and save."
Kota begins to break out into loud sobs.
"We need to go warn Aizawa-sensei and the Pussycats," Izuku speaks up after a moment. "We need to tell them they're after you and Kacchan."
"Alright," Kivi nods, pulling Kota up to stand.
Izuku leans down. "Get on my back, Kota."
He does as told as he continues to sniffle.
Kivi and Izuku blast off into the forest towards camp, bumping into Aizawa along the way.
"Aizawa-sensei!" Izuku calls out.
They all slide to a stop to talk.
"Midoriya, Kivi," Aizawa voices, surprised.
"You're here," Izuku grins tiredly. "Thank goodness."
"We need to catch you up on what we learned about the villains though we don't have much time," Kivi says, watching Kota slide off Izuku's back.
"Hey–"
"Plus we need to find Mandalay there's something we need to tell her," Izuku says, cutting Aizawa off.
"Hold on!" Aizawa sternly says.
"Please, take care of Kota!" Kivi says, grabbing Izuku's arm and dragging them quickly away.
"Wait!" Aizawa growls, making them pause. "Go, and tell Mandalay that everyone can use their quirks to fight under my permission."
The two look at him with wide eyes before nodding and taking off. They arrive back where they started, and Izuku smashes through lizard man's giant sword.
"Mandalay, Kota is safe," Izuku says.
"You found him?!" she shouts back surprised.
They get Mandalay to tell everyone the news about everything from using their quirks to fight and who their targets are. The two begin to rush into the forest to find Bakugo. Gun shots begin to ring off in the distance.
"Izuku! Watch out!" Kivi shouts, pulling him into a force field and hiding behind a tree.
They find arm boy hiding as well.
"Shoji! You're hurt!"
"Don't care about the details," Kivi says as she cuts the glow off her hair. "I'm healing you."
"Why are you out here?" Shoji asks. "They're after you."
"If you honestly think some lame ass villains can take me down, you're mistaken," Kivi says as she heals him to normal. "What's going on?"
"Tokoyami," Shoji says. "A villain got to us and set off Dark Shadow."
Kivi peeks out from behind the tree to see the giant mass of darkness incasing Tokoyami. "He needs light to return to normal, correct?"
"How did you know?" Izuku asks.
"I'm observant," Kivi responds. "That means we need to find Shoto or Bakugo to calm him down."
Tokoyami begins to yell at them to go on and save the others. Izuku retorts back saying that he'll save everyone at once. They all begin running, attracting Dark Shadow's attention and chasing after them. They head straight towards Shoto and Bakugo, causing Dark Shadow to quickly and easily take down the villain they were facing. Then Bakugo and Shoto use their flames to return Tokoyami to normal. The group begins to discuss how to safely get Bakugo and Kivi back to camp.
"I'm not returning to camp," Kivi declares. "There are other classmates out there that need our help."
"Kivi-san, you're one of the people they're after," Tokoyami says. "You shouldn't."
"I won't go if any of you can stop me," Kivi declares. "Immobilize me so I won't go."
Shoto immediately encases her feet in ice. "Now let's go."
Kivi easily steps and breaks out of the ice, much to the surprise of everyone. "Ice isn't gonna stop me. I'd give All Might a run for his money right now. I'm surrounded by wildlife right now and couldn't be defeated even if I wanted to. How do you all think I've been able to use my quirk so much here? Anywhere else I would've gotten dizzy from all this use and passed out for a good few days. I'm going." She closes her eyes for a moment before widening them. "Ochaco and frog girl are in trouble. One of the villains I know is attacking them."
They all follow her in a rush. The blonde girl quickly leaves as she sees the group appear.
"Who was that girl just now?" Shoto asks.
"One of the villains! She was crazy!" frog girl exclaims scared.
"Did she get any of your blood?" Kivi asks.
"Uh, yeah," Ochaco murmurs, glancing to her leg.
"Then we need a safe word phrase," Kivi says. "So we know it's the real you. I say candy you say cane. Got it?"
"Uh, okay?"
"It's how her quirk works," Kivi sighs. "She's a shapeshifter. She shapeshifts into a person after drinking said person's blood."
"How... do you know that?" Shoto asks.
"I've confronted her and another here that has fire powers like your father's," Kivi says.
"What?!" everyone shouts.
"All these other villains weren't with them. The warp gate, the many dead hand dude, her, fire dude, and some other dude," Kivi says. "Anyway, don't wanna talk about it." She throws up a shield around the whole group. Kivi jerks and looks behind them. "They got them."
"Huh?" Izuku says, looking back. "Kacchan! Tokoyami!"
"Dammit!" Kivi shouts.
"Nice trick, eh?" a voice calls out and they all turn to the strange man standing on a tree branch above them. "I took the two you're talking about with my magic." He continues to talk as he tosses two blue marbles around in his hand.
"Give them back!" Izuku growls.
"Give them back? What an odd thing to say. They don't belong to anyone. They're their own people."
Kivi's eye twitches in annoyance. "Enough," she cuts him off, using the energy in the tree he's on to trap him only for him to leap out of the way. Kivi's eyes widen. No one has ever been able to evade. How did he–?!
"You know, it's rude to interrupt a performance," he says as he floats above them. He lands in another tree nearby. "We just want to broaden young Bakugo's views instead of drowning in heroism."
The villain pockets the two marbles as he dodges Shoto's giant ice attack. He reports to the other villains that he nabbed Bakugo and to meet back at the meet up point. Everyone chases after him.
"Uraraka!" Izuku voices. "You have to make us float and Asui, you throw us with your tongue."
"I have a better idea," Kivi says. "Ochaco float everyone. I will throw you all."
"What?!" Ochaco shouts.
"Hurry," Kivi says, beginning to grow larger and larger. She grows to about the size of Mount Lady.
"Kivi-san!" frog girl shouts surprised.
Ochaco follows her orders and Kivi picks all of them up and flings them straight at the marble villain. They slam him down to the ground in front of other villains. Kivi continues her pursuit and realizes along the way that the warp villain has made his appearance. Kivi plows through the forest arriving just as Bakugo gets sucked into the warp gate.
Izuku let's out an ear splitting scream that lasts for longer than anyone should be able to scream.
Kivi's eyes narrow into the harshest glare that anyone has ever seen. "Those fuckers."
~~~Elsewhere~~~
A warp gate opens in a bar and the villains that attacked the camp exit along with their kidnapped prisoner.
"Did you get what I wanted?" Tomura asks.
"We got the boy," Dabi says. "Couldn't get the girl."
Tomura grins. "That's alright. She'll be coming to us." He smiles at Bakugo as he's restrained. "She did say she'd come back if we mess with her class. This time we'll be ready for her return."
...
Izuku was injured and many students were taken to the hospital before Kivi could say she could easily heal all of them. She believes that she was much too angry to even know what was going on around her as all the ambulances and everything else arrived. She couldn't wait for them to return home so she could wreck the hell out of the League of Villains. She knew exactly where Bakugo was and she was gonna possibly kill someone. Nobody approached her, feeling the negative energy radiating off her which is due cause of her quirk.
She's currently at the hospital with the class in Izuku's room. They all talk of what's going on as he hasn't been fully awake for the past few days. Izuku begins to tear up and says that he couldn't save Bakugo.
"Alright then let's go get him," red hair says.
Everyone takes a surprised gasp.
"No, you're not," Kivi cuts him off, shuffling to the front next to Izuku. She sits on the side and gently takes hold of his injuries to heal him. "I know you're talking about the tracking device that Momo put on a Nomu. I heard that as well. Let me remind you that we do not have a license. It's a reason for why I–" She cuts herself off with a sigh. "Nevermind. I know my words won't stop you. You should know that the pros have this handled."
"I agree!" Iida begins to shout and goes off on a rant.
Kivi ignores his outbursts and finishes healing Izuku's injuries. After she finishes she gets up and looks towards red hair after he finishes talking back.
"You're going to end up trapped and killed," Kivi deadpans. "If you die school will be held back more. Then that means I won't get my license quicker. I don't have time to waste. All these problems are holding me back and they're problems that shouldn't even involve me, but they do. If you want to be stupid enough to take them on, I'm not gonna stop you. Just know that if any of you hold me back any longer then I'll personally see to it to make your life hell." She glares at everyone before whisking out the room towards Momo's.
Momo looks up at her visitor. "Kivi-san? I didn't expect you'd come."
"I'm here to heal you," Kivi says, placing her hands on either side her head.
"That's very generous of you, Kivi-san."
"I'm only doing this because the faster you heal the more likely school will begin again," Kivi replies as she finishes healing her. "I must get my license as soon as I can. I can't protect who I need to unless I do." She steps back. "I'm finished and now have no reason to be here." Kivi leaves the room without a goodbye.
A doctor ends up stopping Kivi. "Are you Kivi?"
"Depends who's asking," she answers.
"A young boy named Kota wanted to give you this," he says, pulling out a folded up note and giving it to her. "Glad I caught you." He turns and leaves after that.
Kivi looks at the note in her hand, moving off to the side of the hallway.
Dear Kivi,
Thank you for training me and saving me even though you don't know me. I'm sorry I was so mean. I would have done this in person, but you looked too angry before you left. Didn't wanna mess with that anger. Next time we meet don't be so angry. I want you to train me more.
-Kota
Kivi smiles a bit with a chuckle. "That little shit."
