Her

It had started like a normal day (if you've already forgotten what happens on a normal day, please go back to the previous chapter and say hi to my mom.), I was walking through the forest when It just kind of happened.
One moment everything was fine, the next it wasn't.
A dark hooded figure attacked me and I spent a good five minutes fighting him off, until he pulled out a knife.
Now you're probably thinking, "well Aaron, so what if there's a knife? You can take him on! I believe in you!"
And to that I say:
1: have you been stalking me?
2: I'm not your average story protagonist who's always perfect.
3: I'm afraid of sharp things.
I know, it's stupid, but I have a slight phobia of knives, so when he pulled it on me I simply froze, which led to him stabbing me in the stomach and running off, leaving me there to fall to the ground and wait to die.
I guess I just wasn't expecting to die so quickly. I guess it was because this isn't a fairytale where someone arrives just in time to save the main character.
Life doesn't work that way, how many times do I have to tell you?

As I was lying there, I didn't even realize I died, but soon a woman with black hair and a purple dress walked up and bent over me, like she had never seen an injured human being before.

"Oh, hello there." She greeted me.

Okay, first off, when you see a dying person what do you do.
Call 911?
Try to help the person?
Tell them that you're sorry that you never passed kindergarten and don't know how to act in this sort of situation?
That last one's my personal favorite.
But no, instead she walked up to me and said hello.
Are you flipping kidding me?!

"Yeah, hi, so if you couldn't tell, I'm sort of, oh, I dunno, dying!!!!"

She tilted her head like a confused puppy.
"No you're not, you're already dead silly!" She giggled.

"Then I must be in hell....." I grumbled as I stood up and brushed off my pants.

"Oh!" She pointed at my shirt. "You're covered in red mud!"

"Yeah, mud......"

"Here!" She waved her hand and I was suddenly standing there covered in shiny armor.

"What the!"

"Hmmmm, maybe that's overdoing it a bit......" She stroked her chin and waved her hands again until I was dressed in a simple red tee shirt and black jeans.
"That's better!"

I pinched myself.
She was still there.
Was it true? Was I really dead?

"Why am I here?!" I asked.

"Because you're dead! I already said that!" She huffed.
I smirked.
She looked cute when she was mad.

"Soooooooo, now what do I do?"

"Enjoy yourself!" She smiled brightly and grabbed my wrist. Before I could protest, we were off.
