"Wait! Has anyone seen a boy in a TMNT t-shirt?" Exclaimed Museku-San, one off the frequent patrons. 

"Oh crap! Riku must still outside!" one of the adults said. 

"I'm sorry, Museku-san, but the most likely outcome for him will be suffocation," said another grimly. 

"No!" she wailed and started crying.

I didn't see what happened next because before anyone could say anything, I had slipped back out to the fiery library. 

"What are you doing?!? You are going to get yourself killed!" yelled Koe right in my ears.

"Finding that kid Riku! What else?" I said to her, "It's not like anyone else would have the guts- I actually don't know if I have the guts." 

"Your chances of even finding the boy is so slim, you would have a higher chance at-" 

"'Don't ever tell me the odds!'" I quoted as I ducked under a flaming doorway.

"Rikuuuuuuuu!" I called "Rikuuuuu!" 

As I reached the end of the section, I heard some sobbing. I followed the sound of the sobs and found Riku curled up by a flaming pillar.

"Riku! Thank goodness! Are you hurt?" I said and ran to him. 

"A-Avid-san!" he said, "N-no-" 

"Good! come on, your Mother is waiting for you in the basement!" I said and reached for his hand. 

Just then, I heard a CRACK! And when I glanced behind me, I saw the pillar that Riku was standing by had weakened enough from the fire that it was on its last limbs. 

"RUN!" I yelled as I pushed him in front of me, away from the burning wood.

As I turned around, I saw the pillar coming down, and the last thing that I thought was 'Well, that'll be an interesting story to tell'. 'How'd you die?' 'Oh, I got matched by the pillar in the library, why?'

And then, I felt the heat, then nothing at all as the light faded into soft darkness. 

Sorry if this chapter was short! I was trying to get some realistic action, but having never been burned or in a fire, this was all just from what I have gathered from books I've read.
