"Captian, I found a body," 

Two firemen stood around the burnt body of a teenage girl. 

"Poor thing, it looks like she got crushed to death by the burning building around her." One said.

"Then we should assume that there are more bodies around here?" The other replied.

Just then, an astounded fireman cried out when 20 people seemingly came from nowhere in the rubble.

"Oh my goodness!" proclaimed one of the firemen, "Where in the world did they come from?" 

Both of the firemen that had been looking at the body quickly forgot about the girl and ran to help the survivors of the fire.

"Have you seen Avid-chan?" One of the survivors asked "She disappeared from the basement after Riku got there," 

"No, ma'am, we have not, how many of you are there?" The fireman asked-

Now, wait a minute! that is not what the story is about! Who cares about some survivors of a fire? What we really want to know about is our protagonist, Avid! Let's see what she is doing now!

"AGAIN?!? REALLY?!?"

"Uggg...."

 I plopped down next to the tree that I had woken up by. The last thing that I had remembered was pushing the boy Riku out of the way of the falling pillar. The feeling of the flames consuming my body and burning it- 

I shivered. 

"Why in the world did I do that?" I said to myself. Realizing that sitting there would do me no good, I got up and started investigating the forest that I had seemingly reincarnated in. 

The forest was really dense, with enough greenery to know that either I was somewhere where no human had ever stepped foot in before, or I was in Central Park. I was kind of hoping for the latter. 

After walking in an increasing circle, I noticed that it was suddenly very silent. A silence that was 100% unnatural for a forest bursting with life. 

 I heard behind me a snap of a branch, but when I turned around me, I saw nothing. I heard another snap, and like a deer, I ran away from the noise. 

The tree branches seemed to appear out of nowhere, but when I glanced back, I saw something along the lines of a Unicorn and a wolf, that propelled me to run faster. 

"Would you just slow down and let me get you, thief?" my chaser said, which 1- scared me, but 2- gave me an idea. 

I stopped, turned around, and when it was closer, I went and dashed right at it, and around it. 

"Ha-ha!" I said, and as if karma heard me, at that moment, a blue slime went right in front of me, and I ran right into it. 

"Let me go!" I said as I struggled to get free.

"Stop struggling, it's not going to do you much good against Rimuru-sama" said the unicorn-wolf.

"Rimuru-sama?' I repeated, "As in Rimuru in The Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime?" 

"Huh?" said Rumuru, which I now recognized as the blue slime, said as he switched from the slime form to human form.

"You're Kidding Me!"
