Chapter 9
Frisk nods solemnly before going downstairs with Asriel.
"You know," I start, "you don't have to help me." I look over at Sans. "This is usual for me. I don't have any balance whatsoever."
He shrugs, but doesn't let me go as we make our way down the steps. As we get the the bottom step, a heavenly aroma flood my nostrils. I breath something akin to a moan, and stumble out of Sans's grip and into the kitchen.
I find Toriel cooking pancakes and some meat. I feel my mouth water and I ungracefully plop down in an empty seat at the table. There were only three, everyone else having already taken a seat, except Sans, Toriel, and, until a couple of seconds ago, myself.
I ended up sitting next to an empty seat, and Frisk. Sans soon took that empty seat beside me, but he didn't look at me. I look over at Frisk, but she's conversing with Asriel next to her. Undyne, who is across from me, is also trying not to look at me.
I look down at the table, realizing that it's probably weird having a new person at their table. Or maybe I took someone's seat. I dunno.
After a mental debate with myself, I stand back up and say, softly. "I think I'm just gonna head out to the studio. I'm sure I can call my director and see if he can come pick me up." I turn around and make my way to the living room and back up the stairs.
I bolt to my room before anyone can come stop me and I close the door softly. I find a suitcase that I probably missed yesterday filled with clothes. I pull out a Legend of Zelda shirt, black skinny jeans, and a beanie.
Sitting down on my bed to pull on a pair of Converse, I hear a knock at the door. "It's open." I say, softly.
The person opens my door and I see Undyne. I quirk my eyebrow at her. "Waz up?"
"I was told to tell you that you ware welcome to eat breakfast with us, nerd." She says.
"Nah, it's alright. Not hungry." I say, suppressing the growl that tried to launch itself out of my stomach at the mention of food.
Undyne pulls her head out from inside my room and says something to someone else. She pokes her head back into my room. "Toriel says that she knows your lying and to get your butt downstairs and come eat."
"No, I'm fine." I say, forcing a grin. "I don't want to be a ripple in the obvious calamity that is your family."
She rolls her eyes and comes into the room. "You're coming with me, punk." She says before throwing me over her shoulder.
She walks downstairs and I giggle like a weirdo, because this situation is just wayyyyy too funny.
Undyne gets into the kitchen and dumps me into the chair that I was in before, and a plate of food is set in front of me.
I look up at Toriel. "Dude, it's alright. I'm not hungry." I say, with a smile.
"Eat." She says sternly.
I pout before complying. She watches me for a minute as I take a small bite of pancake and plop it in my mouth. She smiles a bit, looking relieved, before sitting down and eating her food.
I munch on my food, trying not to pay attention to conversations that didn't include me. Like Toriel's and Asgore's about food. Undyne's and Papyrus's about spaghetti. Asriel's and Frisks's "conversation' about, what I'm guessing, toys and school. Then Sans's and Alphys's about their jobs as scientists. Then Mettaton and Nastablook's (my computer wanted to auto correct this as 'bloodstain's'... Okie.) about music and performing.
I look at my plate and try my hardest not to say anything and act invisible. Which I guess made me invisible, because Toriel looked over to me and asked, "Where'd Katrina go?"
Everyone looked around, because, I mean, I'm invisible. I keep a laugh to myself and continue to eat.
"HER FOOD IS GOING AWAY AND HER FORK IS FLOATING!" Papyrus shouts, and I giggle a bit at him. "AND NOW THERE'S A NOISE THAT SOUNDS LIKE GIGGLING COMING FROM WHERE SHE WAS SITTING! SANS! AM I HEARING THINGS?!"
"I dunno bro." Sans says, pushing a skeletal finger into my side. "There seems to still be something here."
I giggle louder, which makes my invisibility fade, since my concentration faded. I stand after it breaks and put away my dish. "I'm gonna go now. Unless you need me for something else." I say, with a small laugh.
"Hey, if you wait a little, you can come with Alphys, Undyne, and me. We go into town anyways." Sans says, leaning his head towards me.
"Nah, it's cool." I smile, pulling out my phone for directions to my studio. "I wouldn't want to burden you, and my director said that he'd come pick me up. I texted him when I went to the room and changed." I say, heading for the door. "I'll see you guys tonight, I guess. If you're still willing to house me, that is."
Toriel nods, her mouth full of pancake, and I pop out into the cold December day.
As I get out, I look to my phone and see that my director wasn't lying about it being around 30 minutes to get to town. "Whatever." I mumble, shoving my hands into the pockets of a sweatshirt I grabbed along the way out.
I make my way down the road, checking my phone every-so-often to make sure I was still going the correct way. After 10 minutes of walking, I hear a car come past. I continue to look at the ground as it passes, and continue on my way.
That is until the car comes back around and stops right beside me.
I, thinking it was a bunch of drunks coming to take me and rape me, start to walk faster until I hear a familiar voice call out, "Hey, punk. Where do you think you're going?"
I turn to see Undyne. She was out of her car and leaning against the open door, her arms coming in front of it. "Walking?" I offer.
"I thought your director was coming to pick you up." She says, an obviously angsty fish lady.
"He's on his way?" I offer again, not really knowing how to make up a lie.
She rolls her eyes. "Get in the car, punk."
"What if I say no?" I ask.
"I'll force you." She responds with a snarl.
I stick out my tongue and turn back to the way I was going. I take a step, then another, then another, before I am grabbed and being carried to the car.
"Put me down." I say weakly, not really meaning it.
"No." Undyne replies.
"Pl-" My beg was cut short when I am practically thrown into the car, next to Sans.
Undyne slams the door before I can attempt to get out, and I begrudgingly buckle myself in. I hear Sans chuckle next to me and I turn to him.
"I knew there was something fishy going on when you wouldn't accept our offer, but would make your director go out of his way to pick you up." He says, leaning up against the backrest.
I just stick my tongue out at him, and he, in some way or another (I chalk it up to magic), sticks one of his own back out at me. Cept it's a light blue, not pinkish, reddish color that normal tongues are. I giggle at the sight of it, before poking it slightly. Sans wiggles his non-existent eyebrows at me. I wiggle my eyebrows back at him. We end up laughing like weirdos in the back seat of Undyne's car.
Until we hear Undyne shout, "Just kiss already, nerds."
I feel my face flush red, and I see a bluish blush come across Sans's face. Upon seeing this, Undyne cackles like a witch. Alphys says something to her, but I can't hear because of Undyne's laughing.
I am Undyne in these situations. I'm sorry. It's how I am.
Legitimately, I yelled, "Just kiss already!" at a friends when she had her crush over. She looked at me like I was crazy, but her crush just shrugged. He then said sure, and proceeded to kiss her.
Those two are still together.
And I'm the reason that they are together.
But not a thanks is even thrown my way. Those ungrateful meanies. *Pouts in the corner.*
Anyways! Hope you liked this part!
Love you all! ~Taba ^~^
