[2] I Didn't Do That

Ryuuki's View

I walked closer to Haruhi. He looked like he was going to faint any second now. He must be really nervous. I took a hold of Haruhi's hand and held it tightly, trying to reassure him that he would be okay with me if anything were to happen. Haruhi glanced at me from the corner of his eyes. His body slumped a bit, telling me that he wasn't as tense as before.

I looked straight ahead at the group of six guys who welcomed us immediately as we opened the door to this abandoned music room.

"Oh, it's two boys!" Two voices chorused.

I examined them. It was two boys who looked like they were twins. They both had fiery orange hair that was messy and a golden orange for their eyes. I blinked. I swear I saw these two in our homeroom when I was seating myself. Were these the two boys who were seated besides Haruhi?

"Hikaru, Kaoru, these visitors is in the same class as you, right?" A tall guy with black hair and glasses asked the twins known as Hikaru and Kaoru.

"Yes they are. The poor looking one isn't very sociable, so we don't know him well. The other kid never spoke. We don't know much about him either." The twins stated.

Of course they wouldn't know about me. Today is my first day and I really don't have any friends to really talk to. I'm barely getting used to this school as it is.

"It's impolite to say it like that." The one with the glasses scolded them. He faced us, "Welcome, honor student and transfer student."

Honor student? That wasn't me, so did that mean Haruhi was a honor student? I looked at Haruhi, and before I knew it a tall blonde guy was standing in front of him. I jumped. When did he come over here?!

"What? This is the exceptionally rare honor student we've heard all about. Fujioka Haruhi, is that you?" He asked, pure excitement and curiosity in his words.

"How do you know my name?" Haruhi asked rather shocked

So Haruhi doesn't know these guys, yet they know his name. That's not creepy whatsoever.

"It's just that our school tradition makes it difficult for commoners to get in." The guy with the glasses explained bluntly.

My eyes widened at the word commoner. That explained why Haruhi didn't have the school uniform like everyone else. Still, that doesn't give them the right to put that out there in the open. That's just rude.

"Watch yourself." I seethed out, glaring at the guy with the glasses. He looked right back at me and shifted his glasses up.

"I've been told that unless you possess a rather audacious nerve, you cannot become an honor student here." Glasses guy went on.

I rolled my eyes. So Haruhi is a smart kid, what's so special about that. They should just respect how hard he worked to get here and leave it alone. I squeezed Haruhi's hand in reassurance as he started to shake just a bit.

The tall blonde one examined Haruhi, "Yes! He's saying you're a hero, Fujioka!" He exclaimed, a large smile on his face.

I pushed the tall blonde one away from Haruhi, which then caused him to look at me for once.

"Oh, and you are?" He asked me.

I glared at him, "That's none of your business."

"His name is Kawasaki Ryuuki." The twins chirped. "He's the transfer student."

I glared at them, wishing that they would just shut up and mind their own business. I sighed and looked down at the ground. It seems like we got ourselves into some trouble already.

"Hey, Haru-chan! Haru-chan! Haru-chan, you're a hero? That's amazing!" A childlike voice shouted in glee.

I noticed a small kid run and wrap his arms around Haruhi's legs. This kid was super short. He was shorter than Haruhi.

"I'm not a hero, I'm an honor student." Haruhi seethed out, his eye twitching in annoyance. "And who are you calling Haru-chan?"

I snickered as the little boys face dropped and he let go of Haruhi.

"Still, to think such a fabled, erudite student and the new transfer student would both be gay..." The tall blonde noted. He smiled at us, "What is your preference?"

My heart sped up. Gay? Haruhi and I both stared at him, questioning him for what he had just said. The was so sudden. Why would he assume that we were both gay? Did we look gay? I looked down at my clothes. Does the uniform make me look gay?

"The Wild type." The tall blonde walked over to a tall guy with messy black hair and cold dark eyes. He had a rather stoic expression on his face. I'm guessing he didn't talk much or he was just really sad looking.

"The Boy Lolita type." He gestured towards the small little boy that had wrapped his arms around Haruhi earlier. His hair was a blond just like my own and messy too. He was also holding a pretty large pink bunny with him.

"The Little Devil type." He said, pointing at the twins who smirked as he introduced them.

"The Cool type." Glasses guy nodded and shifted his glasses up.

I was actually interested as he introduced each and every one of them. They were all good looking guys. Especially the two twins and the tall stoic expressioned one. Even the tall blonde was pretty good looking.

"It's not like that! We were just looking for a quiet place to stay so I could study!" Haruhi stammered out in embarrassment. I nodded in agreement.

The tall blonde then appeared in front of Haruhi. He grabbed Haruhi's chin and lifted it, staring into his eyes. He was super close to her lips. I blushed and looked away.

He grabbed Haruhi and move her away from me, forcing me to let go of his hand. "Or maybe, you'd like to try me... How about it?" He whispered almost seductively.

Haruhi closed his eyes. He looked so scared. I shook my head, brushing my own embarrassment to the side. I glared at the blonde and pushed him out the way once more. Haruhi yelped and fell back into my arms, but I stumbled a bit and hit something behind me. I winced and looked over my shoulder. What did I hit? Haruhi and I fell to the ground and there was a loud shatter. My eyes widened at the now shattered vase that was all over the floor. My stomach dropped.

"The Renaissance vase that was supposed to be featured in the schools audition!" The twins shouted, making their way to the broken vase. "Now you've done it. We were going to start the bidding at eight million yen!"

At that moment, I swear my soul left my body. Why was the vase worth that much!?

"Ugh, can I like, pay you back?" I asked.

Haruhi nodded quickly, "Can we?"

"Could you even?" The twins retorted, directing their question towards Haruhi. "You can't even afford the designated school uniform."

"So? I can help pay off your vase. He doesn't need to pay a single yen." I shot back.

The twins glared at me.

"How would your parents feel about paying such a high amount right after you transfered over to a new school? Wouldn't they be rather devastated that you couldn't let them enjoy the peace of just moving?" Glasses guy said, causing me to shut my mouth immediately.

I started to sweat in panic. Mother and Father would not be happy if they found out I bad broke such an expensive vase on my first day in a new school. I hung my head and bit my lip, "I'm sorry, Haruhi-kun."

Haruhi shook his head. "It's okay."

"Have you ever heard this saying, Fujioka, Kawasaki?" The blonde one asked. We waited for him to go on. "Why in Rome, do what the Roman's do!"

Haruhi and I looked at each other in confusion.

"If you have no money, pay with your body!" He shouted. I gasped. No way. He wasn't going to do any sort of prostitution thing with us, right? "Starting today, you two will be the Host Clubs new dogs!"

Haruhi and I were shocked. We both had this look of pure defeat written on our faces. There was nothing we could really do to get out of this. Haruhi was poor from what I've heard and couldn't afford to pay off the vase, while I couldn't dare ruin my parents peace they were currently having.

It seems like we were going to be stuck as this clubs servants and whatnot. I glared up at them. Well, I gues I don't have to look for a club anymore. I happened to find myself indebted to one. Great.
