Five
Eloise checked the mail, her drowsy state leading her to trip slightly. She steadied herself.
Bills, bills, death certificate.
She grimaced at the last one. Yesterday was the funeral for Sarah Rogers. That was harder than any test she'd ever taken.
She came across an envelope with her name written on it.
Eloise Rogers
She immediately knew what it was. She had recently enlisted for Bletchley Park, a military group for women. This was either acceptance or denial, and at this point she favored acceptance. The house was covered on death.
"Hey, Ellie, what's that?" Steve asked, reading the envelope over her shoulder. "An enlistment?"
"I, um..."
"You enlisted to Bletchley Park?" he asked, his voice wavering. "You'll get yourself killed out there, Eloise!"
"I know," she sighs. "If I'm gonna go out, I wanna go out doing something right."
"Reckless," Steve smiled. "Oh, well. I support you. You know I do."
Eloise smiled gratefully. She tore open the envelope. The first thing she saw was the word Acceptance.

Eloise was handed her uniform. She changed into it as she was told to, and walked into the briefing room. She didn't know what she was doing, to be honest. Someone came up shortly behind her, tapping her shoulder. She flipped around, and a slightly taller woman gave her a bright smile. Her cherry red painted lips were stretched kindly.
"Hi, I'm Margret," her voice was thick with a British accent. "I believe I'm assigned as your partner."
Margret seemed to be younger than Eloise, her brown curly hair nicely laid on her shoulders.
"Yeah, I'm Eloise," she introduced herself. Her description fit Margret well. Her brown eyes and brown hair. Her uniform was similar to Eloise's, meaning they were at least around the same age, and both fairly new.
"Don't worry, it's scary for now, always is," Margret assured her. Eloise gave her a tight lipped smile.
The two sat together at a table across from where they were standing.
"So, Eloise, you have any nicknames?" she asked.
"My friends call me Elle or Ellie," she says.
"My friends call me Peggy."
A/N - IT'S SHORT, BUT WE STAN A QUEEN. This is literally the funnest part. I love looking up Peggy and learning about her (I can't find Agent Carter anywhere ಥ_ಥ) but yee, we got ourselves a young Peggy!
In case you aren't aware, Peggy is three years younger than Steve and Eloise. So basically, part of the plotline is that she lied on her enlistment form (no wonder she's friends with Steve) and joined Bletchley Park following the death of her brother. She's then upgraded to the Special Operations Executives. We will basically see our Queen become who she was in 1943.
