A/N - Double Update??? I'm feeling generous, so I'll sacrifice a chapter of time to write for you guys that read my story. Love you, babes.

Natasha goes to the hospital and meets up with Steve, they watch doctors operating on Fury.

"Is he gonna make it?" she asks quickly.

"I don't know."

"Tell me about the shooter."

"He's fast and strong. Had a metal arm," he describes. "There was another one with him. A girl, she was much faster. Very... Small."

Just then Agent Maria Hill also joins them.

"Ballistics?"

"Three slugs, no rifling. Completely untraceable."

"Soviet-made."

"Yeah," Maria replies. They watch in sudden shock as Fury's state deteriorates.

"He's in V-tach."

Steve, Natasha and Hill watch in shock as Fury is flat lining.

"I want you to charge him at one hundred."

Fury is given a shock with the defibrillator.

"Pulse?"

Fury is given another shock.

"Give me epinephrine! Pulse?"

"Negative."

The three watch the doctors as they continue to revive Fury but Fury is still showing as flatlining, Steve turns away as they finally call his time of death. Steve looks down at the flash drive Fury had given him, enclosing it tightly in his palm and shoving his hand into his pocket.

Natasha and Steve are in a room where Fury's dead body has been laid out, Natasha is looking at Fury's body with tears running down her face, Hill joins them.

"We need to take him."

Steve goes over to Natasha.

"Natasha." she doesn't respond, instead she tenderly touches Fury's head then turns and walks out, Steve follows her.  "Natasha!"

"Why was Fury in your apartment?" she asks, spinning on her heel to face him.

Steve shrugs, "I don't know."

They are interrupted by Rumlow.

"Cap, they want you back at SHIELD."

"Yeah, give me a second."

"They want you now."

"Okay." Steve turns to Natasha. Steve notices the vending machine next to him. He hides the flash drive behind a row of gum and follows Rumlow.

"Let's go."

"STRIKE, move it out." Rumlow commands.

A/N - If you haven't watched Winter Soldier, this is probably going to be confusing. I'm going to skip his whole breaking out of the Triskellion bit because I'm lazy and editing is hard and as much as I love you guys, I'm shitty at motivation.

Basically, Fury set up the whole Lumerian Star mission, bugged his apartment, Alexander Pierce is Fury's long time bestie and is on the council for SHIELD's main Corps.

Cap is then put on watch by SHIELD. He busts out of the Triskellion after a boss ass fight scene, and now we're in the next chapter. He also explodes a plane which is pretty fucking legit. If you want to watch the scene, I would imagine you can google it, but, like I said, I'm a lazy piece of shit.
