Chapter Forty One (Fifth Stop)
Welcome to Cody, Wyoming!
Joey's POV
"Yee-haw!" I let out a cowboy whoop, sending Susanna into a fit of giggles. I poke, her in the side. "Hey. Are you making fun of my cowboy side?"
"Please, behave while you're in Wyoming, okay?" She sends me a doubtful look.
Chad comes up behind me, putting me in a headlock. "Don't worry, Susanna. I'll watch out for him."
Susanna looks back at forth at us, an eyebrow raised. "Um... is that supposed to reassure me?"
"Hurtful!" Chad and I answer in totally unplanned unison. She just laughs, rolling her eyes at us.
We are at the airport right now in New York, fixing to leave in about an hour or so for Cody, Wyoming. Susanna, however, is flying home to Kentucky for her younger cousin's graduation. Her flight leaves in less than fifteen minutes.
I can tell she's a little reluctant, but she can't miss his graduation. "He's always been there for me. He was always my little light pointing to God, before I got saved. I wouldn't miss it for the world." She had told me earlier. She gives us all a hug, and a reassuring smile. "Make sure you guys get lots of good pictures, I will want all the details." She turns to leave and makes her way to her gate, looking over her shoulder one last time sending me a wave.
My phone dings breaking me from my watching her leave. I notice it's a text from my brother, Donald.
D - Hey, you need a replacement for the Wymoning tour stop?
J - Bro... you do realize it's Sus that won't be there right?
D - Not Alan?
J - Haha no.
I don't get a message from him for the next several minutes, So I think he's just stopped. Not a chance, my phone goes off again.
D - I'm up for it. But I don't wear dresses!
J - You are so weird.
D - Runs in the family little bro. I'll meet you there. SPOTLIGHT ON DONALD!
J - Are you doing the stamper right now?
D - .... Maybe... Gotta go!
I laugh, putting my phone back in my pocket and joining the rest of my tourmates. My brother is ridiculous.
~Later That Day~
Concert time again! I have to admit that we had a blast, yesterday. We got to Wyoming yesterday, so decided to see some of the sites here in Cody. Including the museum, and some of the wildlife. This place is just awesome and God's creation is so visible here. I texted some pictures to Susanna. To which she responded, with a "no fair!"
Tonight, my brother and I are going to do a few songs together, then he's going to do some by himself as well. The band has some pretty cool things planned for tonight.
Everybody is really enjoying this. I know God has great things in store for tonight. I guess we just have to follow Him and see what happens.
Susanna's POV
I love doing the tour but I had to come to Ethan's graduation. I'm thankful I did. It's really a blessing watching my "little grasshopper" walk across that stage and grasp his diploma, thanking God all the way. I love that kid, I mean he could have easily have been hopeless growing up, but he took the fact that he was how God made him and glorified Him with it. Being the protective older cousin, I hate hearing anyone using a sneering tone when they use to word "cripple", it runs all over me. But Ethan, just shows them love. He is the perfect example of living like Christ.
After the ceremony, when I called him the nickname I gave him when we're little and reached up to ruffle his hair, he grunted and made a . "Susanna! I'm not a grasshopper!"
"You better cool your hopping then. Look who's coming over." I jab him with my elbow. Bugging each other, is just how our relationship works. I don't think I'd have it any other way, either.
He turns around and I see the smile break across his face. Coming this way is the girl that he's had a crush on ever since the two were really little and played together. He's really growed up since then. It's evident in his deep bass voice, his desire to graduate and get a good job, and in pretty much every thing he does.
We talk and then we all get in our respective vehicles and head to a nearby state park where we are having a celebration cook out.
As we get there and everyone is happy and practically chirping, I watch and can't wipe the smile of my face. My heart feels such peace and contentment. I know that even when things don't go exactly as we planned them, God is going to work it all out for our (and His good).

Author's note:
I know this isn't probably my best chapter ever, and I want to say sorry for that. I wrote what was in my heart and I feel content with how it turned out.
Blessings, lovelies!
P.s. hope you enjoy the video for this chapter. It is Chad approved :) just kidding :p
