Chapter 39: Part 2

Chapter 39

"No."

"No."

"Sure! I mean no." Logan smiled sheepishly at us.

"Come on, please, it'll be fun." I pleaded.

"What's in it for us?" Trent asked as he lay on the couch. It was 12 o'clock and we want to give them makeovers.

"What do you want?" I raised an eyebrow and Trent smirked.

"Breakfast tomorrow morning." We shrugged and then Adrian furrowed his eyebrows.

"That's not what I want." I glared at him.

"Well, too bad. You can either allow us to makeover your hideous face and get breakfast or sit and watch and then get nothing." I bargained and he pursed his lips.

"Nobody finds out about this?" He asked.

"Nobody." I promised and he nodded. I felt my smile get bigger.

Jessie skipped over to Trent and Logan was already on Em's back. I was surprised that she could carry him. Adrian walked over to me with a smile on his face. "You ready?"

"Sure." I shrugged, walking over to the kitchen and grabbing a stool along with the rest of the girls. I came back and Adrian sat in it. I went and grabbed some makeup.

"I don't even know why I'm letting you do this." He muttered and I smirked.

"Oh be quiet." He smiled and I rolled my eyes. I realized that his face was already free of acne; maybe he uses Proactive. So I went straight to the eye products. "Now sit still." I instructed him and he nodded.

I grabbed the eyelash curler and bit my lip. "Now this may hurt." I muttered.

"What?" His eyes shot open and he saw the contraption in my hand. "Since when does makeup hurt?"

"Since your eyelashes are as straight as a board." I smiled and he glared at me.

"Can I at least hold your hand?" He asked, puckering out his lower lip. I shook my head.

"Unless you want me to rip out your eyelashes." I frowned and he sighed. "Here goes nothing."

He grimaced and wrapped his arms around my waist. The sudden movement froze me and I almost ripped my hand away from his eyelashes but I stopped myself. Breath. I finished one eye and moved to the other. "You can let go now."

"I don't think I want to." He muttered into my stomach. I rolled my eyes but pushed him off of me. I walked over to the makeup collection and grabbed black mascara. "Will this hurt, too?" He eyed the tube of mascara like it was a machine gun.

"Maybe." I smirked and he closed his eyes.

"Maybe it's Maybelline." He whispered and I let out a laugh. I ran the brush through his eyelashes although they didn't need it. They were thick and dark on their own, I'm jealous of them.

"Keep your eyes closed." I told him as I ran eye shadow across the lid of his eye. I did the other and then proceeded to put liquid eyeliner along his lid. I knew he wouldn't be able to handle someone else putting the eyeliner on his inner eye.

I took a moment to stare at him. I was giving him a makeover, it's an excuse right. His dark hair was cropped and thick. He had a straight nose and a chiseled jawline. He had full lips and nicely shaped eyes. I guess I was staring at him for too long because he opened his eyes and smirked. Before he could speak, I cut him off, "Lipstick, I'll be right back."

I grabbed a tube of lip gloss from the table and checked to make sure it was his shade before approaching him. He was watching me and he shook his head. "This is where I draw the line."

"What? It's just lip gloss." I innocently said. He glared at me. "It's called being fabulous." I was unscrewing the cap to the small tube. I grab his cheeks in my hand and applying the lip gloss. He let out a whimper but didn't try to fight. .

"Beautiful." I smiled, closing the tube of lip gloss.

"You used force!" He was rubbing his face.

"I have the force, might as well use it." I smiled before walking over to the makeup table and putting the makeup back. I hope she doesn't mind Adrian-used lip gloss. I know I wouldn't.

"How do I look?" Adrian asked, blinking repeatedly while putting his hands under his chin. I leaned over laughing.

"Are you guys finished?" I asked when I walked over to Jessie and Emilia. They nodded. "Shall we reveal them?" I asked and they nodded again.

I walked over to Adrian who was video chatting someone. "Yes, I know." I stood a few feet away, waiting for him to end the call. "How do you even know how to screen shot? Don't you dare!" He threatened.

I smiled. "Mattie, no, no!" I heard a familiar clicking noise that sounded like a camera and Adrian gave his phone an annoyed look. "Bye Mattie, I love you."

I walked over to him and he raised an eyebrow at me. "Time to model your face for everyone." I told him and he shook his head.

"I didn't agree to that! I agreed to let you give me a makeover." He grabbed onto the chair and I went to grab him.

"Do you want bacon and pancakes?" I asked and he nodded. "Then go model!"

"No!" He frowned. I pretended to be sad before nodding and staring at the floor.

"Okay." I started kicking the carpet when he sighed.

"Fine." He got up and when he was a good distance away, I picked up the stool before laughing maniacally. I pushed him towards the small group.

When we saw each other, we fell into hysterics. Logan's main color was red and he was working it while Trent had dark blue eye shadow and pink lipstick. I gave Adrian a smoky eye and peach lip gloss.

The guys just stared at us, not amused and we gave them innocent looks. "I'm going to take a shower." They said in unison.

"Have fun." I winked at them.

"Separate showers, as in different bathrooms, you pervert." Adrian smirked at me and I rolled my eyes.

I walked over to the couch and stretched out. Jessie and Em were talking; they kept glancing at me. I just raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"It's so obvious!" Em cried out, taking me by surprise.

I stared at her for a minute before looking at Jessie. "He likes you, don't' you see?"

"What?" I repeated.

"It's so obvious! He sat next to you, he even let you give him a makeover, he always smiles at you, he called you dense- he meant that you don't see that he likes you. He likes you!" Jessie continued. I just blinked at them.

"Those are all elementary school things. Oh my gosh, he sat next to me!" I squealed in sarcastic excitement. They rolled their eyes at me. They aren't fooling anyone.

___

When the boys got out of the shower, they came back to the living room and we watched an episode of 'Breaking Bad' before Em and I headed off to bed first, followed by Jessie.

Em had let Jessie and I borrow clothes to sleep in. I thanked her. They were blue sweat pants and t-shirts.

We surprisingly all got our own guest room. I was expecting to have to share a room with Jessie but they had enough guestrooms.

I gladly went to sleep with the cold air nipping at my face.

___

I felt someone push my feet. Then they pushed my legs, and then my hip, then my shoulder. "Wake up."

I slowly opened my eyes to see Adrian's staring back at me. He looked amused. His hair was ruffled and he was still in his pajamas, which were gray sweatpants and a white t-shirt, which were most likely Trent's. I immediately jumped backwards, resulting in me falling off of the bed.

I probably looked a mess, my hair was most likely on all ends and I had crust in the corner of my eyes. I had morning breath and I wasn't really a neat sleeper. "Are you okay?"

"Peachy." I muttered, getting up with the blanket wrapped over my shoulders.

"Glad to hear it, now that you're up; the girls need you in the kitchen. You have 30 minutes to get down there and get cooking." He smirked before leaving the room.

I walked over to the bathroom, using the guest toiletries to take a shower. I brushed my teeth with an unopened toothbrush and travel sized toothpaste. I dressed back into the pajamas before going downstairs. I didn't even bother drying my hair all the way; it was still damp when I tossed it into a sloppy bun.

"Morning, sunshine." Jessie chirped when I got downstairs. I smiled at her and Em who were getting out the food for breakfast.

We were making eggs, chocolate chip pancakes, and bacon. I had pancake duty, Em had bacon duty and Jessie had egg duty. I didn't like cooking and I was never really good at it. But one thing that I made amazing: pancakes.

"Ow! I burned myself!" Em squealed. I heard the game from the living room pause.

"You better not get any blood on my bacon!" Logan called and Em glared at the doorway angrily.

"You'd make an amazing single guy, Logan!" She snapped back. The game's noise started again and they continued playing.

When we finished breakfast, we made our plates first and walked to the dining room table, sitting down at the circular table. "Breakfast!" I called out and the game paused. They quickly walked to the kitchen.

A few moments later, they came back with colossal amounts of food on the plates. They also had glasses of orange juice like us. After a few moments passed of us eating, I looked up. "So, are we going to shovel the sidewalk or something?"

"It doesn't matter if the sidewalks shoveled, what does matter is if the road is shoveled and it isn't." Logan replied and I sighed. I missed Blake.

"What's wrong?" Logan asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I miss Blake." I sighed.

"The furry guinea pig?" Adrian asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"He's a dog!" I exclaimed.

"That thing is a dog?" He asked, staring at me with a piece of bacon hanging out of his mouth.

"Yes." I replied.

"You can always cuddle with Adrian." Logan offered and Adrian wiggled his eyebrows. I felt my face warm up and I directed my gaze towards my food.

"So what's on the agenda today?" Emilia asked while I was glazing my pancakes in syrup.

"We could always have a dance off." Adrian smirked.

"Why? So you could hit your head on a speaker again?" I snorted and everyone laughed, even Adrian.

"So the dance off is out." Adrian smiled at me.

"Why don't we just watch movies?" Logan offered and I nodded. We all seemed to agree so after we ate the guys offered to do the dishes; like they had a choice.

We all chose a movie and were deciding on who gets to go when.

"Whose movie goes first?" I asked.

"'21 Jump Street!'" Emilia offered. Surprisingly, none of the guys got all angry.

"Dave Franco." I smiled at the screen.

"Channing Tatum." Emilia mocked my actions.

"Logan Pierce." Logan copied. We turned and looked at him. He frowned. "No Logan Pierce?"

We laughed and continued watching the movie. When it ended, we decided on 'Warm Bodies,' the movie I chose.

"Dave Franco." I sighed with a smile.

"Nicholas Hoult." Jessie mocked.

"Logan Pierce." Logan joked and we smiled.

We then watched 'Superbad,' courtesy of Trent.

"Dave Franco." I smiled at the screen.

"IS THERE A MOVIE THAT THIS GUY ISN'T IN?" Adrian exclaimed and I looked at him with furrowed eyebrows.

"Those are movies that I don't want to watch."

"'Charlie St. Cloud!'" This was Jessie's movie that I haven't seen yet.

"Dave Franco..." I smiled at the screen and Adrian let out a loud snort.

We then watched 'Dawn of The Dead', thanks to Logan. Adrian smirked in success when he realized that Dave Franco, unfortunately, wasn't in this movie.

Adrian chose White Chicks; I wouldn't be surprised if he knew every word to it.

Logan excused himself for a moment before nearly dragging me out of the living room. "What'd you guys talk about when we locked you in the room?"

"Well, about how I like him and then how to plan our escape." I shrugged.

"He didn't tell you anything?" I shook my head and he stared at me for  a moment before sighing.

"Why? Did he need to tell me something?" I asked.

"Sometimes, I feel like I know more about your personal lives than you guys do." He sighed. What does that mean? "Do me a favor and get Adrian. Tell him to go to the kitchen, please?" I nodded.

"He didn't tell you anything, did he?" Adrian's voice was panicky. I just shook my head as I sat down.

We fell asleep watching movies, right in the living room. I remember we were watching 'The Avengers.' I remember because Logan was muttering something about the actors. But somehow, I woke up lying in bed in the guest room.

After showering and changing into the clothes that I came here in, Em was so kind as to wash them. I opened the door to the hallway and my face was met by a huge snowball.

"TARGET HIT!" Adrian shouted as he ran down the hall. I wiped my face and charged after him. I was no match for him; he played two sports while the only sport I played was nearly 4 years ago.

"Get back over here you moron!" I shouted as I raced through the hallways. He ran right out of the front door and down the path that was already shoveled. I made a big mistake following him out there. For one, I had no jacket. Secondly, Trent and Logan were already loaded up with snowballs and were pelting them at me.

I quickly backed up into the house and closed the door before running over to the coat rack and grabbing my jacket and shoes. I walked into the kitchen to see Em eating a bowl of cereal. "C'mon, we're going to have a snowball fight, get Jessie." I told her and she nodded.

I sneakily went through the backyard, creating snowballs and holding them in my arms. I snuck around the side of the house to see the boys huddled up. I pelted a snowball at Adrian's head and he spun around and I just let the snowballs fly. I felt a snowball hit my face and I looked at them with my jaw slack.

Jessie and Emilia emerged from behind me and started throwing snowballs. Soon enough, we were in a snowball fight, or should I say, a snowball brawl? At one  point or another, I may or may not have, leaped off of the porch side and tackled the guys to the ground.

I struggled to get off of them but I finally did, except Adrian made it a point to grab onto my ankle. I turned back to see him with one eye closed and snow melting down the side of his face. I swung my hand down and pushed snow into his face. He let go almost immediately. I struggled to run off, but I did.

Jessie was working on building a fort while Emilia was keeping guard. When Jessie finished, we ducked behind the large fort. We heard the crushing of the fresh snow and we looked up to see a humungous snowball crushing us. It layered us with snow and I felt like giving up. I crawled out from behind the fort and stood up.

And again, I was pelted with the ice cold snowballs. "SAY YOU GIVE UP!" Adrian shouted at me. I shook my head.

"NEVER!" I ran towards him and pushed him to the ground, he grabbed my arm, taking me with him. I tried to roll away from him but he rolled with me. I stopped rolling and there was a point where he rolled over me. I let out a loud laugh as I came to a complete stop.

"Do not let your crush on each other get in the way of the game!" Logan snapped from a few feet away. I quickly got up and walked over to Jessie who was rebuilding our fort.

"I'm tired." I muttered, sitting down beside her. She was making the fort more stable so it wouldn't break under one snowball's attack.

"This is war!" Trent screeched and the war had officially begun.

__

We lost. We lost badly. The boys were gloating. We were all getting ready to go home when a car pulled up to the front of the house. "Mom!" Trent and Em shouted with a large smile on their faces.

"Hey, kids. Who are your friends?" She asked, eyeing Jessie and I.

"I'm Fiona." I smiled widely and went to shake her hand but she pulled me into a hug. I obviously hugged her back.

"Hey, Fiona, I'm Mrs. Knight, you can call me Rainah." She smiled at me and I nodded.

"I'm Jessie." Jessie smiled and Rainah pulled in her for a hug.

"Trent's told me a lot about you." She winked at Jessie. Jessie's face went red and she stared at the snow.

"Okay, enough, Mom." Trent quickly ended the small conversation. "They've got to get home; they've been here for two days."

"Okay, well I'll see you soon, yeah?" She smiled at us while we nodded. "Bye Adrian, Bye Logan, Bye Jessie, Bye Fiona." We all waved as she walked into the house.

We bid our goodbyes before getting into our cars. Since Adrian and I were going in the same direction, I drove behind him. I even caught him lip-syncing to Lady Gaga.

When I got home, Adrian quickly stopped me before I walked into the house. "Do you, maybe, want to hang out on Friday?" He asked.

I was scared to ask if he meant on a date so I just shrugged. "Sure, with our friends?" He shook his head, rubbing the back of his neck.

"No, just us; like a date." I pursed my lips.

"I don't know what you're trying to do, but we won't have a good friendship if we're going out on dates. But just for the heck of it, I'm going to say 'yes.'" I replied with a sigh and he smiled widely.

"This will be our third date." He smiled and I furrowed my eyebrows at him. "You're supposed to like me yet you don't even know about our other two dates?"

"I just assumed you were joking." I shrugged and he smiled, shaking his head.

"I wasn't. But I felt the need to ask you out on this one. So now you know that it's a real date." I shrugged at him again. I didn't really know what to say.

"Well, I guess I'll see you later." I smiled and he nodded, extending his arms for me to hug and I shook my head but it was to no avail because his arms were already wrapped around me. I couldn't help but smile.
