Time to leave
They first went to their left. The door was locked but they could see a sign. Sadly, you could barely read anything. But the two of them could make out a few letters. It looked like that door once led to a doctor of some sort. They went to the next nearest door. The second door left. That one was also locked. And like before, there was an old sign with a doctor title visible.
The next door was different. It was the second door from the right. This one was open. Mark and Jack shared a surprised and slightly confused look before opening the door fully and stepping inside.
It was old and chaotic. Like there was a fight. A brown leathered Couch stood in the middle of a room. It had some big cuts so you could see the inside. Papers could be found everywhere in the room, a lamp laid broken on the floor and a chair, that seemingly belonged to the desk where the paperwork should have been, was also cut open.
The room was a chaos.
"Mark, we should go back home"
"Why, are you scared?" Mark grinned at his friend, who seemed nervous.
"No... but we have to be at our job in time!" Jack was glad to have an excuse because he was a little scared. This place gave him the creeps and he wanted nothing more than just go away. Sadly, that meant to go back to the scary pizzeria. Why did Mark have to find the scariest places most attractive?
"Oh, Yeah, you're right" Mark said, looking at the time. So Jack left the scary room back to the scary hallway.
"Hey, Mark?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you have this...weird feeling? Like we're being watched"
Mark stood still for a few seconds, then smiled at his friend calmly.
"No, you're just imagining things. Come on, there's the exit"
The two left the abandoned facility and made their way back home.
"So, we gonna change and head to the next horror movie?" Jack asked less nervous now. Mark only laughed about this and nodded.
Mark opened the front door of his house for the both of them and went inside.
"Alright, we'll eat, change and go"
"Don't forget yer coffee again!" Jack grinned at his huffing friend and made two poptarts in Mark's toaster.
"Whatever" Mark responded while making coffee for the two of them.
Jack smirked and put their little snack on two plates and then on the table. Mark filled the finished coffee in two thermos for the shift and in two cups for now.
So both men talked, ate, laughed and drank before putting on their night guard suit and packing their bags.
The two of them decided to walk again so they left half an hour before their shift began. They entered the building five minutes before beginning of the shift and made their way to the office.
