Yume POV

A breath escapes my lips. As little bits of sweat falls down my cheeks softly.

It's so damn hot.....
Whyyyyyyyy

I'M INSIDE WITH AIR CONDITION SO WHY DOES IT FEEL LIKE I'M ON FIRE!?

"Yume!"
"Nani?"
"Get your lazy butt up! It's officially summer! And everyone's going to the beach!"
"Okay and......"

"And I mean everyone..... Even Sora and Rin. And you and me"-She says as she grabs my arm.-"Are gonna go shopping."
"Wha-eh-why?!"
"Hmmm. Let's see, you wear literally the same thing everyday! And you don't own a bathing suit. So come on! Please! Brec's comming along with us."

I then remember Brec in her wheel-chair.

"What about Brec! Can she walk?!"
"Huh? Oh year. The wheel-chair thing is only a one day thing. Now."

She grabs my legs and swings me over her shoulder.
"AKKKK!"
"Let's go!"

She starts running out as I reach my hand over her shoulder.

"B-B-But my sweater!"
"Ditch the sweater! Anyway it's over 80 degrees outside!"

I stare down at her outfit. She looks like she's been ready for summer.

(What Honoka's wearing)

"Honoka can you put me down now! We're in public!"
"Fine." She gently lays me down on my feet.

"Why do you even wear that sweater?"
"Well because........ It's loose and my white shirt...."
I pick on my white shirt as I feel it lightly touch my body.

"It kinda......"
"Shows off your curves?"
I don't say anything. I just shyly and quickly nod my head.

She sighs. And changes the subject.

"Where's Brec?"
"Heyyyyy!"
She runs up to us.
"Where were you?"
"Sorry. I was watching the season 2 finale of Attack On Titan. It. Was. Awesome!"

I smile a bit. I notice that she's not wearing her usual outfit. She's wearing a dark blue and white stripped shirt that's tied at the end, with white shorts. She's wearing white sandels with them.

(That's the outfit)

(Just in case if some of y'all forgot what Brec looked like)

"Welp, let's go-wait Yume? Why are you only wearing your shirt?"
"Honoka didn't let me carry it." I say with a grumpy pout on my face.

"Let's go."

"Come on Yume! We're all suppose to meet each other at the beach!"
"But...... I don't wanna wear a bathing suit......" I say, my head traveling down to the ground.

"Why not?"
I feel my cheeks flare up.

"B-Because..... Of........."
"Okay, okay I get it." My head shots up.

"You do!" I exclaim, with a surprised face.
"Yeah. You're embarrassed because Subaru's gonna be there."
I nod my head slowly.

Honoka sighs.

"Can we at least buy you some new clothes and a summer-beach outfit?"
I don't reply. I just nod my head.

"Okay then, let's go."
Brec grabs my hand and leads me into the store.

I stare at the clothing. Honoka's already picked out a bathung suit and Brec. They've even picked out a few clothes for me that surprisingly were my size.

As I look around I overhear Honoka yell my name. I walk over to her and see her holding something like a small shirt and jean shorts with a small white jacket.

"Will this do?"
I shrug.
"I guess."

"Okay! There's only an hour left and it will take us about thirty minutes to get to the beach. So let's go pay!"

I don't necessarily do anything when we get there. The guys aren't here yet including Sora.

I sit on the blanket on the sand with my knees pulled into my chest as I watch Honoka and Brec splash water on each other. Koharu and the other's are still getting dressed.

As I close my eyes I sigh in boredom. My head tilts down to the ground.

"Mind if I sit here for awhile?"

I pick my head up to meet some familar orange eyes.

"Sora."
I say as he sits down on my right side. He wears swiming trunks with a plain blue shirt.

Sora's nineteen years old. A year older than Honoka. He works part time at the café. If you want me to be honest he's actually very attractive. And he's really into photography. He's very kind and caring. Any girl to marry him would be lucky.
He's also aware of my sickness.

"How's your heart."
"It's been better. But it hasn't been worse."
"That's good."

"There's some other people coming. One is Honoka's childhood friend. Brec's brother. And another one is my childhood friend..... He's also my best friend." I say feeling my cheeks heat up a bit.

"Oh, Honoka's told me a few things about him." He says with a smirk. I lightly punch his arm.

"Jerk, don't listen to what she says." I say with a slight smile.

"Why?" He says. His smirk not leaving his face.

"Because I don't need another person shipping me with him."
(Too bad Yume you have a whole fandom shipping you with him.)

He stands up.
"I'm gonna go talk to Honoka and meet Brec."
I nod my head.

"Mkay."

He walks over to the girls. At the same time I notice that Shiro and the other boys are here. But I don't see Subaru.

I suddenly feel somebodys hands on my shoulders. I turn around to meet some familiar blue eyes.
"Subaru." I say as my cheeks lightly get warmer.

"Hey Yume." He says as he gently removes his hands from my shoulders and sits next to me.

I look down as my hands slowly run over to the end of the sides of my jacket and try to cover up a bit.

"H-Hi...."
"You okay?".
I nod.

"Yume I-"
"YES YES YES YES! YES YESSSSSSSS!"

My head turns to the sound of Brec's squealing voice.

"What is it Brec!"
I shout.

"I won! I won a trip to Hawaii!"
"Really!?"
"Yeah! And I can bring twelve people! And it's for 4 weeks!"
"But...... There's thirteen of us."
"Oh. Right."

"Wait!" Ako shouts.
"What about Kanata!?"
"Isn't Kanata already there because he's visting a friend?"
"Yeah. Asahi's right he left to go vist someone. Didn't say who though." Subaru replies.

"What about you Sora?" I ask.
"Don't worry." Sora says.

"Since I have the Summer off, my parent's gave me a plane ticket for anywhere. I can go on the same flight as y'all."
"That's the thing."
Brec says with a nervous face.

[Play Song to get hyped!]

"What."
"It says that I got this five hours ago. And because I didn't check my phone until now..... The plane's gonna leave in..... An hour..... So we only have thirty minutes to pack....."
"BREC!"
Everyone yells. Including me.
"AHM SORRYYYYYY

"Welp!"
Honoka shouts while running to me. She grabs my hand and starts running with me. Well.... Not running more like a soft fast jog.
"AKK!"
"COME ON YUME! WE HAVE NO TIME TO WASTE!!"

As we were running I feel the air rushing through my hair. As a feeling of excitement rushes through me out of nowhere. And suddenly my lips turn into a wide open smile. An actual happy, excited smile.

Something tells me that..... This will be a summer to never forget.....

And that......

Summer's just beginning!
