3rd Pov

Brec impatiently taps feet on the concrete side walk. Until she see's Riku running towards her.

She can't help but to glare at him for being so late. When he reaches her he asks,"Why are you glaring at me?"

"You're the one that's late."
"Yeah well Ryuu kept on stopping at stores for dinner."

Brec's glare disappears from her face and tilts her head to the side a bit.

"You two--er three I mean. Are along again?"

Riku closes his eyes and nods his head. "Yeah.... Our parents might not even be here for the holidays. So me and Ryuu are looking for alternatives."
He starts to walk inside the hospital. Brec turns to him and says,"What are they?!"

Riku turns his head around a bit while still walking and gives her a teasing smile.
"Wouldn't you like to know."
"Riku!"

Brec pouts and follows him insidd.

"Hey." Riku starts.
"Why are you wearing that?"
"Huh?"

Riku point at her shirt. Which tightens around her waist and flows out under that part.

"Oh... I know I shouldn't be ashamed of it.... But I'm scared people will judge me.... I mean come on... I'm only 14 after all.... I know teen pregnancies are bad... But....... My reason is different.... And you know that."

Riku nods his head as Brec gently smiles at him.

"Miss Nijino Brec?"

Brec's head turns from the sound of her name and stands up along with Riku. As they walk Brec squeezes Riku's hand. Riku turns and gives Brec a confused look.

"I thought you didn't like me anymore"
"That doesn't mean I'm not nervous. Just because we're not together anymore that doesn't change the fact that this is our baby."

Riku stares at Brec. Taken by surprise by Brec's choice of words.

"O--Our baby?"
"Yes. Us not being together doesn't change. Just because I don't like you romantically doesn't mean I don't like you as a person."

"Hey." Brec starts.
"They're gonna ask us if we want to know the gender of the baby. I want to know but.... I'll say no if you don't."

Riku blinks a few times until he fully understands what Brec means. He squeezes her hand and nods his head with a gentle smile on his face.
"Of course I want to know."

"Have you had any intercourse in the past two months?"

Riku's cheeks lightly turn red while Brec's whole face turns into an apple.

"No...."

The nurse quickly nods her head and writes something down on her paper.

"And would you like to know the gender of the baby?"

Brec looks at Riku who nods his head. She turns back to the nurse and nods her head.
"Yes."

The nurse nods and grabs a tube.
"Ms. Nijino. Please lift up your shirt for me a bit."

Brec nods her head and does so revealing a small baby bump.

The nurse first places her hand on her stomach and nods.
"Your 5 months in right? And how many weeks?"
"20." Brec replies confidently.
"You count the weeks!?" Riku shouts.
"Yes. And please don't shout Riku."

Riku nods and scoots his chair closer to Brec.

The nurse just nods and opens the tube and squeezes some weird cream(?) on her hand and slowly rubs it on Brec's stomach.
(I asked my friends what rubbing was the right word by rubbing my hand on their arms and one of them said this,"Annoying the shit out of somebody trying to listen to Hamilton".)

The nurse starts to use a weird machine and starts to rub in on Brec's stomach.

As Brec and Riku see the screen with their baby on it. Tears gather in her eyes and Riku swells up in happiness.

"Mr. Itona. Ms. Nijino. I'd like you to meet your daughter."
