Atharva did remember yesterday night's prank call and the answer Avinash got. It was hilarious for him. His friend was definitely too nosy but for his own good and he knew that very well.

And now it was the next day evening when he placed the call.

Once again, Riya was slumped on her cushion. Her both part time jobs for the day demanding a lot of her strength. And her tired eyes were longing to close and just when they were going to, her phone rang. And instead of a frown, a smile adored her face seeing the caller ID.

"Hi! How's your friend or I think brother?" Her voice was extremely excited remembering the spectacular prank.

"The poor fellow is scared for life. And he's my best friend."

"Oh well! But he's a scaredy cat!" Her hearty chuckle brought instant warmth with it.

"How was your day?" His question needy, wanting to know more about her.

"Well both my bosses suck, making me work so hard. Plus for the first time, I destroyed the cake and my boss made me bake it again. And then my other boss, well she hates me and when another girl complained about me. She threatened to fire me...." Her cute rambling made him happy. Happy to know she was not giving a cold shoulder but slowly opening up.

"Stop complaining yaar(friend)" His voice stopped her when she said,
"I'm not complaining."
Her answer made him curious, "Then what are you doing?"

"Just checking if you are paying attention" she said nonchalantly.

At the same time, she found her mother calling as well which she couldn't ignore and after bidding a goodbye decided to end his call.

Her lips, were still curled into a smile after the call ended while he was busy  remembering how her voice cutely rambled.
