POV JIMMY {SolidarityGames} 3rd person

Jimmy shrinks back into his seat on the bus, noise filling the space all around him. New school. New friends. Again... He sighs. Gonna have to start all over again. A third time. This is the third school he's been transferred too because of his trouble with bullies. Because of his pewny whym, according to most people, he was picked on a lot.

That's the reason why he's moved schools so many times. That's the reason why he used to wake up crying after having nightmares. That's the reason why his parents started arguing, and finally divorced. He shudders, hoping this school will be different. Probably not. All schools are the same.

The bus stops again, doors opening. At first Jimmy doesn't pay much attention too who steps on the bus, but then a handsome young man stops next to his bus seat.

"Mind if I sit here," he asks, his deepish voice giving Jimmy the impression of an elf. Speechless, all he can do is nod at this abrupt interruption. The young man smiles and slides on next to Jimmy.

"Thanks for letting me sit next to you." Jimmy, finally coming to his senses, nods.

"N-no problem," he stutters, surprised that he was talking to him. He was surprised that his face wasn't beet red already.

"So," the man says, leaning back into his seat. "Your new right? I'm Scott." He holds his hand out for me to shake.

Jimmy take it. "Mines Jimmy." He smiles again, a nice warm, accepting smile.

"Welcome to Eclane high school. I'm the student body president. I assume your a jr.?"

"Yeah," he says, nodding. "I'm transferring from Henfer." Scott nods as well.

"I think I might've heard something about you from Joel. He goes to Henfer as well. But I believe his words of choice were 'There's this skinny looking lad that's transferring out. I think he's going to your dump of a school'."

Jimmy laughs nervously. He recognizes the Joel of course. He was one of those people who either stood by when he was getting bullied or just walked past him like he was invisible.

Scott, noticing the tension now lingering in the air, quickly changes the subject.

"I'm a jr. as well. Are you gonna take any honors classes?"

Jimmy thinks for a moment. " I'm pretty sure I'm in honors English, maybe a coding class as well. I haven't memorized my schedule very well yet."

"Well, if you ever need help finding your way around just give me a dm. You have discord, right?"

Jimmy nods. "Yes. Do you want it?"

Scott grins. After exchanging our users, the bus stops and Jimmy realizes that they are at the school already.

Scott stands up, ready to leave. Turning to grab his bag, Jimmy notices him disappear into the thrum of students. His heart gives a short pang, and he sighs.

As he turns to follow the crowd, a piece of folded paper catches his eye. Picking it up, he sees after a quick glance that it has a written discord link on it.

Did Scott drop this?

Looking closer, he notices a smaller message written off to the side.

'Join soon!! Link expires Wednesday.'

Quickly shoving the note into his pocket, he makes himself promise that he would give t back to Scott next time he saw him.
