Scarlet opened her eyes .

She looked around . She was still in her room but there was no light . The only light was the moonlight coming from the terrace . There was a little girl standing in front of the closed doors. She had curly blonde hair and she was wearing a frilly blue dress . Her piercing blue eyes looked like they were trying to dig into Scarlet's soul from the way she was staring at her .

The redhead sighed and sat up on her bed . She was used to waking up and not being the only one in her room . She got off her bed . She walked up to the little girl . Her blue eyes stayed on her .

She knelt down beside her "Hello there" .

"Hi!" She greeted cheerfully . Her little pale pink lips curved into a smile . "What's your name?"

"Anisa" She said . "Well Anisa , I'm Scarlet" .

"What happened to you , sweetie? You're so young , how did you die?" Scarlet asked even though she regretted saying it . But Anisa had no problem with it . She simply shrugged "I was murdered" .

She said it like it was no big deal .

She decided she shouldn't ask more questions regarding to her murder .

Eh , if she was gonna be here for the whole night , at least had the chance to make a friend .

"What's your favourite color?" She asked . "Pink and blue . Yours?"

"Red" She smiled "Come on . Let's go sit and then we'll talk" . Anisa nodded .

She led her to her bed and the blonde sat up , Scarlet beside her .

Then Anisa's smile turned into a frown . "What's wrong?" . She pointed at Scarlet's closet "There was someone there" .

She turned around . Her closet was shut . There was no one .

"I swear I saw something" .

She sighed and walked up to the closet and opened the doors .

She gently looked through her hanged clothes . Nothing . Thank God , she really didn't want to face a demon right now .

She closed the closet and turned back when a sudden icy breeze blew past her , sending a shiver down her spine and a voice said in a whisper "Hey" .

She immediately spun around on her heel , facing the closet again .

Then something horrifying happened .

The closet doors opened and someone/something jumped out at her . She stepped back with a hiss . No . She's not a cat .

She looked at the person and saw Chameleon in him . He had shoulder length copper hair , tied back in a ponytail and amber eyes . His facial structure was the same as Chameleon , but he was probably 40 .

He spread his arms with a huge smile . Scarlet immediately threw herself into his arms , hugging him tightly "Papa!" .

He laughed and returned her embrace "Scarlet".

"What was that for?" She whispered .

He grinned "Was up for a prank" . She secretly rolled her eyes and whispered "I missed you" .

He stroked her hair "I know , sweetie . I missed you too" . She let go of him .

He gently caressed her cheek "Look at you , my baby girl . All grown up and beautiful , like your mother" . She smiled faintly and let her face rest in his warm hand .

"Why did you leave?" She whispered , a tear slipping down her cheek .

He wiped it away "Everyone leaves sweetie . No one is immortal . If they are , they're not human" .

"I guess"

Scarlet's eyes opened .

She was awake . She could sense it . She sat up on her bed , leaning her back against the maroon headboard , the silky red sheets slipping off her chest .

She sighed .

The door slammed open .

She jumped as Chameleon stepped in "You're okay!" .

"Ever heard of knocking?" She asked , crossing her arms .

He sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck "Hehe , yeah-well , sorry about that . I had thought something bad happened to you" .

She rolled his eyes "Since when did you start checking up on me at midnight because of a thought?" .

He rolled his eyes "Since now" .

After a small moment of silence , the only sound being the plants in the terrace rustling from the midnight breeze .

"So you're okay , right?"

She nodded .

"Kay , night" He said heading for the doorway .

She laid back down , closing her eyes "Close the door on your way out" .

After a few seconds , she opened her eyes "He didn't shut it" . She made a mental note to not close the door sometime she went into his room before getting up and shutting it herself .

"Kestrel , wake up" .

Kestrel didn't wake up .

"Kestrel Blood , I really think we need to get you a hearing aid" .

Kestrel whined "Asha , it's freakin' SUNDAY!?" .

Asha sighed and went out of her room , closing the door behind herself .

"Phew" Kestrel let out a sigh of relief . She sat up on the bed . She picked her phone from the nightstand . She turned the screen on and read the time:

9:33 am

She got off her bed and went to the bathroom . She stripped her clothes off and stepped into the shower . She turned the tap on to warm and water hit her skin . It was soothing .

What am I gonna do today with my life? She thought .

She took a 20 minute shower before stepping out of the shower , wrapping herself with a towel .

She put on a red top with half sleeves and jeans . She let her hair down to let it dry naturally . She opened the door and walked out . She stood at the top of the staircase , gazing at the bottom .

She walked down , running her hand on the railing as she walked . When she reached the botto-

"Pew!" Dune said , shooting water at her with a water pistol .

"What . The . Actual . Hell?" Kestrel asked , wiping the water off her arm with a hand . "Oh it's you" He realised , looking sheepish "I thought you were Webs or Hvitur" .

She shook her head with a faint smile "You guys are so childish" .

He rubbed the back of his neck "Sorry" . The blonde boy held out a small towel "Need it?" .

"No . It's okay" .

"Okay" He started , stuffing it back in his pocket . She walked past him "Have fun . Oh , and don't get yourself in trouble" . She walked into the living room .

It was large with the walls painted mint green and turquoise . The ceiling was white and there was a L shaped couch in the middle with a table . There was a TV on the wall . There were small potted plants here and there . There was a doorway (without a door) that lead to the kitchen .

She walked across the room and went into the kitchen .

She opened a cabinet and took out a bowl and a box of cereal .

"Glad to see you're awake"

Startled , she turned around . Asha was leaning on the doorframe , her arms crossed , wearing a dark pink T-shirt and a white skirt with pink flowers on it .

The redhead shrugged "It's not like I was gonna sleep all day anyway" . Asha rolled her eyes and walked in . She pushed herself up the counter and sat on it , her palms resting on the surface .

She looked around for a spoon and found one . She did the rest you need to do to make cereal and sat down on a stool , placing the bowl on the counter .

"What got up to wake up anyway?" The brunette asked .

"Eh , nothing big . After you went out , I got up" .

"So I just wasted my time on trying to wake you up?" . Kestrel smirked "Maybe" . Asha rolled her eyes , again , before asking "What are the boys doing?" .

As if on cue , Hvitur ran inside and ducked behind the counter .

"They're playing some sort of game with water pistols" She answered , placing a spoon of cereal in her mouth .

She leaned over the counter to look at Hvitur who was on the other side . He was wearing a white shirt with jeans . His silver-ish platinum hair was slicked back and his silver-ish pale blue eyes had determination in them .

"You better keep the house tidy" She whispered . He stood up , noticing that the two females were in the kitchen too "Sorry , didn't notice you girls" .

He leaned down and placed a kiss on Asha's forehead "Morning , Pinkie" . She smiled and cupped his face in her hands , kissing him . He placed his hands on either side of her , kissing back .

"Ahem" Kestrel cleared her throat . They both parted and looked at her , looking a bit sheepish .

She smirked "Can you take things somewhere else if you're about to do more?" .

Both of them blushed at the comment . He kissed her cheek before ducking down again "Let me win this game . Then we'll take things back to one of our rooms" .

They sat in torturing silence for a few moments before Kestrel asked "Have you eaten breakfast?" . Asha nodded .

"What are you gonna do today after this?" Asha asked .

"I have absolutely no idea" . She shrugged "Maybe we'll watch some movies , read something , paint flowers in Hvitur's room again" . Both of them snickered at the last suggestion . They had done it once . And the look on Hvitur's face when he came inside was worth it . He had looked horrified at seeing his 'beautiful' white walls covered in colorful flowers .

"I'm up for watching movies . Haven't watched The Hunger Games or Suicide Squad in a while" the yellow eyed girl said .

"I also wanna watch The Shining . Can we also watch Incredibles 2?" . Asha shuddered "I'm okay with Incredibles 2 but don't you dare watch that horrifying movie!" .

"Aw" She whined "Fine" .

Asha nodded "Good" .

Dune came inside and looked around , his water pistol in his hand . The brunette leaned forward and whispered to Kestrel "We should probably go to your room or mine" .

"Agreed" She whispered , getting up "Just let me wash the bowl" . She placed the bowl in the sink and washed it , putting it in the rack afterwards .

"Come on" Asha grabbed her hand and led her to the staircase . The two went upstairs and went inside Kestrel's room . She closed the door and sat on the bed . Asha was already sitting on it , hugging a pillow .

"So..." She started . "So what?"

Kestrel smirked "Have you and Hvitur done 'it'?" . Asha blushed "Maybe" .

Kestrel squealed and fell back on her bed in delight .

"Okay" She quickly changed the subject "What do we talk about?" . "I dunno , boys?" The green eyed girl suggested .

"Eh , I have nothing to say about boys" .

"Really?"

"Yep"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure"

"Positive?"

"Positive"

"Sorry , didn't hear what you said?"

"I said positive"

"Whaaaa?"

"I SAID POSITIVE!"

"Think twice"

"I've though thrice"

"What about Chameleon Carter?"

Kestrel felt her face heat up a little "Nothing" . Asha pointed an accusing finger at her "Aha! Gotcha there , now , didn't I?" .

"Darn . Caught me there" . She crossed her arms "So , what's going on between you two?" .

"We're just partners , that's all" .

Asha smirked , a glint in her eye "Yep , just partners . And I'm pretty sure by the end of the year , you guys will be dating" .

"No way!"

"Yes way!"

"Please shut up!"

I had so much fun writing this! Don't know why , though .

So , did you guess that Asha and Hvitur are a couple? *ducks under table* , plz don't kill meh .
