Chapter 25:

Kestrel stirred the hot chocolate in the mug.

"Hey, you okay?" Asha asked, her green eyes showing concern for her best friend.

She nodded, "I'm fine."

"We both know that's a lie," She rolled her eyes, "Come on, what is it?"

When Kestrel stayed silent, she continued "Is it boy trouble?"

Kestrel stayed silent that time too, except that a blush crept on her cheeks. That answered Asha and she grinned knowingly.

"Sooooooooooooo," She trailed off.

"So what?"

"How are things between you and Chameleon?" She asked, the grin never leaving her face.

"Asha, stop getting your hopes up, we're just friends," Kestrel said, rolling her eyes.

"You keep telling yourself that," the brunette waved a hand boringly.

"Shut up."

"So, are you two dating yet?" She rested her chin on her palms, her elbows on the table.

"No. We're not."

"Do you like him?"

"No. I don't."

Asha stood up, a hand on her hip. She wagged a finger at her redhead friend "Denial is the first stage."

"You're one to talk,"

"At least I admit that I love Hvitur."

Once realising what she had said, she covered her mouth, blushing.

Kestrel grinned, "See."

Asha leaned over and lightly slapped Kestrel's arm "Whatever."

"Did I hear someone say that she loves me?" A voice said. Hvitur entered the room, a smirk plastered on his face.

"Shut up," She muttered, rubbing her forearm with her hand.

"Oh come on, sweetie," He took her hand in his, curling his fingers around hers "You know you love me."

"Look at you two," the redhead cooed "Someone get a camera!"

"Now kiss!" She ordered, and added with a warning tone, "Or else."

"She's telling us to," He said, softly stroking her cheek.

"Fine," She gave in and pulled him in for a kiss, her lips grazing his. He didn't hesitate before putting his hands on her hips, pulling her closer.

Kestrel clapped, startling them.

"Now go and give me thirty-three Hvisha babies!"

They both glared at her, and it didn't faze her at all. Instead, she glared back at them.

"I. Want. Thirty-three. Hvisha. Babies." She said with a terrifying tone.

They both squealed and nodded "Yes ma'am!"

After they had gone out of the room, Dune came in, looking at her with an eyebrow raised "Thirty-three? Really?"

"Eh," She bit into an apple, savouring its juicy taste, "Don't worry. They're not stupid enough to do that." (O_o)

"I know," He rolled his eyes at her.

-----

"Why is everyone so gloomy?" Sarah snapped, breaking the tension in the room.

She got no reply other than a few mumbles.

"Looks, if you're all still mourning on that whole thing, think, would Papa want this?"

Cassandra nodded, agreeing with her sister.

"I know you all miss him, and I do too, but we have to move on." She said determinedly.

"I agree with you, Sarah," Cady said, "though we have other problems..." She trailed off with a glance at the twins each.

"Chameleon, Salamander, you two lizards, stop hating each other," She said, her voice softening up a bit, "Why can't you just put the differences aside? I want you two too! Heck, we all do! Please, for our sake?"

"I'm ready to do it," Salamander mumbled, "Chameleon is the one you should be lecturing."

Sarah pressed her vivid burgundy lips together, a sign of showing her dissatisfaction. She looked over at the said boy who was poking his food with a fork. He refused to meet any of their eyes.

"Chameleon," Sarah said through gritted teeth.

"What?" He replied, not looking up.

"Look. At. Me." She said as sternly as possible.

He bit back a sigh and looked up to make eye contact with her. Her amber eyes glimmered as they met his.

"What is it?" She asked, reaching her hand out for his. He let her take his hand in her own.

Her thumb gently stroked his knuckle. He just couldn't resist the affection his sister was giving him, and she, unfortunately, knew that.

"You know what it is," He murmured, not wanting to phrase it in his own words.

"No," She said, clearly lying. But Sarah was an expert at lying. Years of experience in a gang had made her one.

"I don't know, tell me," She said firmly.

"You're lying," He said in a mumble, "aren't you?"

Dang it, Sarah thought.

"I forgot that you could just tell if one of us was lying," She grinned, trying to lighten the mood.

He gave her a smile and she cheered internally. It worked!

"Yep, that's me," He smiled back.

Hey guys!

I'm back!

I had fun writing this chapter. It was great writing about Sarah.

Don't worry if you wanted more ship moments. You'll be getting them some time soon. The ships will be Kesmeleon and another adorable (to me anyway) ship! I think you can guess what that other ship will be.

I'm at episode 231 of Fairy Tail, and might I say, I love Jellal now, looking at you @ElementalWolf. WHY DID HE HAVE TO LIE TO ERZA'S FACE THOUGH!? My ship would've sailed happily if it hadn't been for him.

And Gale, ah, that ship! I think I ship it more than Nalu.

I want a Lily! I don't know why, but I find him adorable!

Quote of the chapter:

Bye!
