1 month 17 days later

AJ walks up to me one afternoon after I had got home from work.

"What do you need?" I ask.

She sits on the couch, so I sit down too. She walks across the couch and lays her head in my lap.

"Uh... um.... Okay then." I say confused.

She looks me in the eyes with her beautiful green ones.

"Ah know this may be sudden, and weird me bein' a pony and all." she says hesitantly, " The thing is......... ah think ah'm falling in love with you."

It felt like an arrow of love shot through my heart.

I pull AJ in for a big hug.

"I feel the same way." I say in reply.

AJ reaches up and kisses me on the cheek.

3 weeks later

AJ started calling me her boyfriend, I mean I think she did. She referred to me as boo, darlin' and other lovey dovey words. Which I didn't mind at all. I eventually started doing it too.

"Hey babe?!" I shout.

"Yes darlin'?" AJ responds.

"What would you like for breakfast?" I ask.

"Ah think that pancakes sound like the best thing this mornin'." she suggests.

"You got it." I respond and flip the spatula into the air.

I made 6 of them. 2 for me, and 4 for AJ. She ate quite a lot for her small size.

She was adorable when she ate. She told me to stop staring at her when she ate, but I couldn't help it.

This was all so uncanny, a human and a pony, in love. My dreams have literally come true. I was so happy with how things were going between us.

2 days later

We were laying in my bed watching Point Break. (It's one of Keanu Reeves' older movies) AJ was curled up in my lap.

"I promise I will never let anything happen to you my sweet." I whisper to her, "I will protect you forever and always.

I see her smile slightly, and then she starts snoring lightly. I fall asleep as well.
