The next morning:

AJ woke up with cutest yawn I had ever seen. She fell asleep at the end of my bed, because I assumed she'd be comfortable in bed with me. Which she said she was. I was happy too. My childhood was coming to life.

"Hey, AJ? What would you like to eat?" I ask.

She thinks for a minute and looks around my kitchen. Her eyes settle on a basket of apples I had. I grab one of the apples and toss it to her. She catches it in her mouth. I sit down and settle for a bowl of Cheerios. I was a rather boring person.

1 week and 2 days later.

I had gotten over the fact that AJ was here now, we even had a morning routine. I would grab the mail, AJ would get breakfast prepared. After breakfast, I would take a shower, then we would go outside, an I hosed AJ down. She seemed to be enjoying herself, but then I asked the question.

We were sitting on my couch watching a movie about aliens or something. 

I look at AJ.

"Can I ask you something?" I ask.

"Sure sugarcube." she answers.

"Do you miss your home?" I say.

AJ sighs and turns toward me.

"Ah do." she says to me with a slightly sad look.

"I'm so sorry." I tell her.

"It's not your fault." she says comforting me.

She wraps her hooves around me and I hug her back.

"Ah'm glad that ah was found by you." she says.

Those words bring tears to my eyes. I squeeze her tighter.

She does too. I wipe away my tears and look her in the eyes.

"I'm sure your friends are looking for you as we speak." I say, it was my turn to comfort her.

She embraces me again.

"And you know what, when they get here I'm gonna ask to go with you." I say happily.

"But why?" AJ asks.

"Do you see around you?" I say, "I have nothing left for me here except for a dead end job and a few friends that I haven't seen in like months."

"Ah mean, that's up to you." she says.

"I will be able to stay with you forever." I say with excitement.

AJ jumps up and down with joy. She then hops into my arms and hugs me again.
