20 years later

It seems that Celestia and Luna kept their promise, AJ, Pinkie, Dash, Shy, Rarity and my kids and close family don't look like they've aged at all. My kids are grown up, they run Twilight's Museum/Library now. I grew to be around 6 ft tall. AJ and the others stayed the same.

"Darlin', where's the book ah was readin'?" AJ asks.

I sit up, "Uhm, I believe it's on your bed."

We had to get a bigger bed to deal with my new height. 

"What were you reading about?" I ask.

She looks at me nervously, "W-well ya see, the thing is."

She stops.

"What's the matter?" I say concerned.

"Ah can't tell ya yet." she answers.

I sigh, "Fine."

I lay back down as she gallops upstairs.

"I wonder what she's so nervous about." I say to myself.

"Hey uh, sugarcube? Could'ja come to the barn?" AJ asks.

"Sure." I say suspicious of my wife.

I walk outside and open up the sliding door.

"SURPRISE!!" It was Dash, Pinkie, Shy, Rarity and my kids.

There was a banner that said Congratulations on it, a large cake, and some gifts.

"Oh, you guys. You didn't need to do this." I say flustered.

"But darling, we did." Rarity speaks up.

"Yeah, we've NEVER celebrated your birthday." Dash adds.

"That's because the time in this world is different from my old home." I explain.

"It was still exciting setting this up for you." Pinkie says with a big smile.

"Oh you guys." I pull them into a hug with my magic, "But still, what was in that book AJ?"

She sighs and whispers into my ear.

"Oh my. Uh um, that's interesting." I say, "Let's eat some cake, and open some presents."

And from that day forward, everything was right in the world, no evil deranged ponies, or famine. Nothing was wrong, it was all because of that life changing moment.
