Be warned this chapter isn't all sunshine and rainbows. Sorry about this, it pains me to write but every good story has it's lowest point.

"What's going on AJ?" I ask frantically.

She wouldn't answer me but kept dragging me along. She brought me to an open area where the rest of our friends except Twilight were. They were crying over something. I walked over to  get a closer look, what I saw rocked me to my core. It was Twilight, she was in a crater and her neck was twisted the wrong way.

"What the hell happened?" I say holding Twi's body.

Dash stepped forward.

"W-we were flying to your place and s-she got hit by lightning. I c-couldn't catch her in time." she explains.

"This is so not good." I say, "What will we do with the Elements broken up?"

"We need to tell the princesses." Shy says choking back tears.

"I guess that's up to me." I say.

I trotted to the castle and barged into the throne room.

"Princesses, Twilight's d---" I was interrupted

"We already know." Celestia tells me.

I sit down.

"What do we do now?" I ask, "Who will rule Equestria now that Twi is gone?"

"There is ONE way." Luna says looking at me.

"What is it?" I ask confused.

Then I think about it.

"Hey hey, that's a heavy burden to put on me. I-I can't take Twi's place."

"None of the others are ready for this, but you are." Celestia explains.

I run out of the castle in a panic.

"Oh no, what do I do." I say frantically, "I-I'm freaking out here."

I sit under a tree and take long slow deep breaths and think. I see AJ carrying Twilight's body.

"No, I can't say anything yet." I tell myself.

I stand up and we walk back in. AJ presents the body to the princesses. Celestia's horn glows and a beam hits Twi's lifeless body. It gets surrounded in some sort of crystal substance.

"Now she will be preserved forever." Luna tells us.

AJ leaves crying.

"I'll do it," I say, "but I do have two condition's."

"Speak it." Celestia says.

"I'm staying at the farm with my family, and my family gets to live as long as I do. I don't want to see them die before me."

"We can meet those demands." Celestia says after a moment of debate.

"Good, now if you don't mind I have to go and talk to my wife about this." I say and walk out without letting them say another word.

A/N

Not counting this, the story is 100 words longer than most of my chapter, I like this one personally. But that's just me, I like sad parts that bear fruits of happiness in the end.
