Chapter 5
On the next day, Kezia went on with her life. She went to school like any other day but will it?
What the hell is wrong with this guy? Is there something on my face? Do I still have a morning star? Dried saliva? Why? Just why does he keep on looking at me like that?
Kezia cleared her throat; her hands slowly touched the corner of her eyes just in case she did have a morning star. Of course, she made sure that what she did was not noticeable but there was no morning star at all. Then her hands made their way to her mouth to see if she had dried saliva left, but there was none too.
She didn't know what was wrong, she didn't know why Dino kept looking at her.
Their last memory together is not quite pleasant but it is also not the worst. But with Dino's stares that are like lasers that go through her soul, she can't help but think that maybe she did something wrong.
They are inside of their classroom, waiting for the next teacher. The whole room is in chaos and rowdy, there are chatters here and there. Kezia is supposed to design her notes aesthetically but she can't focus well because she suddenly feels someone's intense stare that is directly towards her.
Her brows furrowed and when she looked in the direction where the gaze came from, Dino welcomed her sight. He was staring right through her as if piercing through her organs and bones. Her brows slightly raised then she blinked in surprise.
She wanted to act haughtily and roll her eyes at Dino but with his stares, she couldn't seem to do that. She awkwardly looked down on her notes, trying to focus but Dino's stares just won't let her be.
She's been trying to figure him out, his stares just don't sit well with her. Truthfully she can just ignore it and just mind her own business but she can't. It's the guy named Dino after all.
She rested her face against her palms. Then suddenly a thought occurred in her mind.
Don't tell me. . . Does he like me?
Just with that thought, her face suddenly heated up. She flinched at herself as if she just thought something ridiculous.
"What the hell? That's so impossible. Why would he ever?" She frantically fanned herself with her hands, hoping that it would lessen the heat of her cheeks.
Then what if he does?
Her cheeks heated up again, this time it was hotter than earlier.
She dropped her head down the armrest. "Self, stop!"
"Kezia."
She jolted up when she heard Dino's voice. Dino flinched with Kezia's abrupt response.
"O-oh?" she bit the inside of her cheeks when she stuttered.
"Can we talk late at lunch- ah, no. We need to talk, meet me later during lunchtime." Dino didn't give Kezia a chance to talk. After he said that, he immediately left, leaving Kezia dumbfounded.
Kezia tilted her head, she wasn't able to fully grasp what Dino said.
Me? Him? Talk? Lunch?
Her eyes widened in realization.
Ehhhh?!?!
