A gasp escaped the girl as she opened her eyes, sitting up quickly. Her hand raising to her head, crushing something that was in her palm. She looked to see a white chrysanthemum and forget-me-nots, flowers that mean truth and memories. She narrowed her eyes, ripping the plant out of her palm and threw it across her tent. Memories of the past came to her mind, memories of training under Link's father.
"Come on! If you keep on using your powers you'll never be a great swordsman!" He would yell at her during training. He would then punish her by having her cut all the flowers she has accidentally or purposely grown, bringing slight pain to herself. Because of that she had learned to never use her powers, of course she would occasionally accidentally summon a flower when her emotions acted out.
"Stupid dream, it's bullshit." She muttered under her breath. Gripping more chrysanthemum flowers as they grew around her. Causing petunia flowers, expressing her anger, to grow as well. The more she grabbed, the more they grew, causing the tent to be surrounded by the flowers. "I'm not from another world, I'm from Hyrule. I have to be..."
"Hey, how long have you lived in that village?" Link had asked her one day, the two taking a break from sparring. They were in the fields near the castle training grounds, sitting as flowers were blooming around them.
"Um, as long as I remember." She said, her hair not in it's usual braid. The breeze picking the now long locks slightly. She thought about how she had no memory before waking up near the village she lived in. She hasn't told Link about this yet, finding no reason to.
Link looked at her, opening his mouth to say something before a ball of white jumps onto the female. She let out a surprised yell as she falls to her side, Link finding it adorable. A giggle came out of the the thing that tackled her, it was Lily. "Lily! I told not to do that!"
"But Big Sister!" Lily whined. "It's fun!"
"Not for me..." Lily giggled again and jumped into the older female's lap. A sigh was let out as the older of the two started to mess with Lily's hair. "Your hair is getting so long, we'll need to cut it soon."
"But you keep your hair long!" Lily argued, gently pulling at the soft locks. "Why can't I keep mine the same?"
"Maybe it's because she's a witch." Link answered in a teasing tone. "Why else would she be able to summon various plants? She needs her long hair for power."
"That is not the reason why and you know it Link!" She yelled. "I just have too much training to do that I forget to cut it. Your dad needs to loosen up and take it easy a bit."
"You know he can't do that, you need all the training you can get. Me and the others had our whole lives to train, you only had a year or two." Link argued, laying down to look at the sky.
"Still..." She muttered, laying down with Lily on top of her. "It would be nice for at least a break, the only break I get is when we spar."
"Don't worry about it, for now let's relax. You're gonna need it." Link let out a fake pained noise when the female punched him. The three laid there in silence, enjoying the breeze swaying the various flowers growing, particularly lotuses.
"You know my dad is gonna eventually come look for us, right? If he finds you slacking he'll let you have it." Link piped up, interrupting the silence.
"Won't you get punished too for letting me slack off?" The girl responded.
"I'm used to it." He said, shrugging his shoulders. "Besides, his 'punishments' are easy for me. You on the other hand..."
"Alright I get it." The girl sighed, twirling Lily's hair in her fingers. She stared at the sky, watching the clouds in a daze gaze.
"Hey, you okay?" She blinked her eyes, looking up to see Vio staring at her.
"Yes, why?" Vio narrowed his eyes.
"Don't lie."
"I'm not."
"Then explain these." He lifted up his hand to show petunias and chrysanthemums in his palm.
"I said I'm fine." She repeated firmly.
"I'm not an idiot, I know what these mean." Vio let himself in the tent, sitting on a small patch of forget-me-nots. "Now, what's bothering you? It's obviously some kind of memory."
"I said-"
"I know what you said, but I want to know what you're actually feeling." Vio interrupted.
"Look, just leave me alone. I'm fine and I don't need to tell you anything." She growled.
The two stared at each other, seeming to be mentally arguing. After minutes of this, Vio sighed and stood. "Fine be that way, but get some rest. We have a long journey."
"I know."
Vio wrapped his arms around the girl. She smiled and hugged back. The two part, but not before Vio pressed his lips against her forehead.
"Sleep tight."
She didn't respond, feeling her face grow in heat. He left the tent, careful to not crush more flowers on the way. He didn't notice the bright red rose growing behind him.

Hey so I sincerely apologize how short this chapter is and how long it has taken me to write this.
Right now I'm working on graduating high school and starting my career as an artist and publishing my own original stories. Like My Friend The Shadow Beast on Webtoon! So again I apologize, things happen and we move on.
But don't think I'll leave this fic dead! It may take me another three years but I will finish this if it's the last thing I do! And thank you, for staying with this fic and for putting up with my slow as heck updates.
And with that said, Seeya!!!
