Zhong Song did not wait for the emperor and hurried out from the room. He just crossed the paper screen when suddenly the door opened. The scholar hurriedly approached the emperor when suddenly the image that he expected to see is not him. Rather, it was another person wearing a black hood that covered half of its smirk wearing face.

Yet, Zhong Song already knows who this person is.

"You-"

JiDan swiftly stepped forward to cover the mouth of his uncle. When Zhong Song struggled, JiDan is forced to stuff a hanky inside his mouth and pull him to the next room that is secluded from the outside. The scholar tried to escape from his grip but JiDan seems to be stronger than what he imagines. He can't even lift a finger ah!

When the entire coast is clear, JiDan removed his hand from covering Zhong Song's mouth. He also released his tight hold to let the scholar breath. Zhong Song reacted like a trapped bird, quickly gathering his self up away from JiDan, imitating a fighting position. Zhong Song is a scholar so copying a warrior's stance made him look silly. JiDan only watched the scholar in humor.

"So it's you! Did you know what kind of danger did you put yourself in? You killed many lives!" Zhong Song said on his most scolding voice. JiDan listened, looking very relaxed instead.

"Hey! What kind of attitude is that?" Zhong Song scoffed. "Don't tell me you are here to kill me? Ha! You can't defeat me. You are still young to stand hand in hand before me."

"Uncle, I'm not going to kill you," JiDan said gently.

"No! You are going to kill me! I am sure of it!" Zhong Song insisted.

"No, I won't," JiDan shrugged his shoulder.

"Huh? Why?" Zhong Song looked at him with a raised brow. JiDan returned the same expression. This uncle... does he really wanted to be killed by JiDan?

JiDan walked closer to Zhong Song. The Scholar, who seems to be so courageous but afraid to hurt his nephew, took a step back. The same action happened until Zhong Song is trapped between the wall and JiDan. Though, he remained his fighting stance to show that he will fight if needed. The young dragon knows that this is just mere appearance so he just let it be.

He took a weapon from the side and showed it to Zhong Song. The Scholar reacted exaggeratedly as he cried with warning. JiDan watched his uncle tremble in fear before the legendary weapon that is in the form of a dagger. This person... he clearly shows that he is scared.

JiDan somehow wanted to tease his uncle so he moved the dagger on the left side. Zhong Song, with his flexible body, easily dodges the dagger and moved to the left. JiDan moved the dagger to the left, receiving the same response just on the right direction. The young dragon thinks that this is fun so he moved the dagger in stabbing motions making Zhong Song do weird moves as he tried to avoid the lethal object.

It only took Zhong Song five minutes to resign in defeat. This is tiring ba!

Zhong Song raised his palm up as he crawled to a nearby chair to seat. JiDan waited for his uncle to calm down before showing the weapon again. This time, Zhong Song accepted the object without fear. Well, if JiDan really wanted to kill him then he should have done it earlier.

"Why did you have this weapon?" Is what Zhong Song first asked.

"Someone gave it to me... remember that one person who attacked us before? The one the emperor chased back," JiDan answered honestly.

Zhong Song suddenly became serious.

"What is happening?" He asked. "Why did you kill them? What are you doing?"

"He wanted to bring my mother back to their world," JiDan said.

"Huh?" Zhong Song questioned. "What do you mean?"

"My mother, Lang Yuan, is someone you call as a transmigrator. He is someone who is not from this world," JiDan replied.

The scholar is a bit stunned after hearing the words. Though, he already know that Lang Yuan is someone who is from far away... what place it is, he wasn't sure. It is only now that he confirmed that Lang Yuan is indeed from a dimension that is very different from this one. JiDan continued his explanation.

"He told me that he will bind my mother using a ritual. This includes the thirteen godheads that will activate the covenant. He wanted to use that force to break a hole, pass through the rules, and rewrite the laws. He wanted to defeat the Superior being beyond the gods."

"And he can do that? But that is impossible. Nobody can change what the Rules had given," Zhong Song commented.

"True, however with the involvement of the Forbidden Forest, he will be able to do it."

"The Forbidden Forest? Your birthplace?" Zhong Song frowned. "But nobody had ever made it... You mean that he will be breaking it?"

"He wanted to destroy it," JiDan corrected.

Zhong Song pondered over the information. It is true that a normal dragon god could not touch the Rules, more or less tamper it. But when the Forbidden Forest is involve, doing that job might be easy. After all, The Forbidden Forest is an existence that not even the Rules could not touch.

"What are your plans? Don't tell me you will fight him?" He asked.

"Of course, I can't do it alone. That's why I am asking you uncle," JiDan took the weapon from Zhong Song's hands. A slight grin appeared from his child-like face. Zhong Song shifted closer to listen.

"Uncle, still remember that time when they played an illusion on us?" JiDan is referring to that last trial where Yu XueQin played an illusion of Lang Yuan's death. He continued:

"We will be doing the same. But this time, we will not use an illusion. Everything will be real."

This time, someone will really die.

Zhong Song listened to the plan that JiDan told him. He also recorded all the information about 'Dong Wei' and his relationship with Lang Yuan. JiDan did not spare any secrets and spilled everything for Zhong Song to know. The plan will start to move the moment Zhong Song 'dies' from the hands of the god killer.

JiDan and Dong Wei already had the agreement that Dong Wei will pretend to be running away while JiDan will collect Lang Yuan. Dong Wei will teleport back quickly so they can escape from the chasing group. They will proceed to the Forbidden Forest where the ritual will happen.

The same thing happened. JiDan made his job very carefully. It's just that there's one thing he didn't manage to do. And that is to kill Zhong Song. Though, Dong Wei did not mind. No, it's not that he didn't mind. He just already projected that the young dragon won't be able to kill his uncle since they were close.

He will, instead, use JiDan. And JiDan used this plan to work on his own methods.

Dong Wei came out from the rubble unscathed. That simple quake is not enough to kill him. He patted the dust on his shoulders and walked out from the rubble. Somehow, the inscribed magic circle on the center was not destroyed. It remained on its glowing state, slightly giving off a speck of light.

He looked around to see the damage of the place and smirked. That young dragon is not an individual that anyone could trifle with. By just that short time of slip, he manage to devise a plan to break the formation, however this is not enough to completely destroy the plan. Dong Wei already prepared some countermeasures in case the traitor will reveal itself in the middle.

Since JiDan wanted to play with him, Dong Wei will oblige. He did not know what kind of plan the young dragon has but he wanted to see who between them can win the race. The chessboard houses two factions but only one king could remain. Like that board, this place could only have one winner.

Dong Wei brushed pass the destroyed structure and walked around in unhurried steps. He took his time leisurely watching the old century trees of the forest with trunks thicker than any human's waist and roots longer than a human's arms. The leaves showed a rather glowing sensation making the whole place beautiful, yet dangerous.

One monster could be lurking on the corners.

Though, Dong Wei is not really idling around. Even though he looks like a tourist watching the beautiful spot, his senses are actually active. In contrary, his mind has been mapping the whole forest searching for a group of individuals that will never be able to leave the forest. Sensing the presence of the people, Dong Wei chuckled as he rubbed a leaf from the tree.

Just then, the image vanished leaving the light whistling of the air.

On the other hand, JiDan had been careful. He has been following the trail that they have gone to though there's an alternative route that he created. This is to avoid the beasts from attacking them and be farthest from the nest. However, as JiDan is taking his one step, a figure suddenly appeared before him. His reflex made him look up just to be smashed by a strong force.

If JiDan is a bit slower, that one hit could have cost his life. It might have split his head open smashing the grey matter of his head. Fortunately, he is still stronger than an average human is so he only received the shock a little, as he made a small maneuver to the side to avoid the full blow. Dong Wei smirked from the reaction as he pulled the hand back that he used to punch the kid.

But that didn't stop there. Dong Wei is never a righteous person as he attacked again while the kid is still unbalanced. He used his legs to do a roundhouse kick but JiDan blocked it with his arms. The force of the impact is stronger than he imagined and he was almost thrown away. He should remain standing or else Lang Yuan will be taken!

"Not bad, not bad. Worthy for the title of the prince," Dong Wei applauded, clapping his hand gently. "But that strength is not enough to defeat me. Do you think that I am weaker?"

JiDan did not answer. He carefully placed Lang Yuan to a safe corner before facing Dong Wei. His eyes looked fierce despite his hollowed cheeks. This will be the final stage of his plan. If he can go through with this, Lang Yuan's safety is guaranteed.

Seeing that the young dragon is not affected, Dong Wei crooked a smile. With a swift move, switched places in a blink. JiDan received the full shock as he was thrown away. Dong Wei did not wait for him to recover and attacked again. This time, JiDan blocked the attack but it still made him vomit blood. All throughout the process, he didn't let Dong Wei pass him.

"What great will. But will this last?" Dong Wei smirked.

JiDan lowered his head as he vomit bile and blood. He could hear the words the black masked man is saying. Somehow, instead of fear, excitement runs through inside his body. Behind those weak look, a smiling face of a young dragon can be seen. If anyone could see it, they could only feel cold and fear.

It is pure blood lust.
